Yeah they don't fully don't go into depth. I remember we did diving only in the beginning. Club is the best thing to really learn the sport. Too bad I can't afford it.

During middle school, ppl used to bring me down and trash talked me and I was always bench, but in gr7 I was finally on the court for the whole tournament. Now it’s my first year of high school and I’m trying to make the cut and hopefully not be bench

  • @jkram43

Thanks for the video. One thing that I am curious on is the difference in opinion on where your feet should be facing when you actually make the pass. Here John says to have them face the server and to use your arms and shoulders to create the platform, but a lot of coaches will say to orientate your feet so that your hips are facing towards your target. You definitely want to be facing where the ball is coming from, but there seems to be a lot of argument about whether you turn your feet in to help with the platform angle or not. Then there are some who suggest that the the right leg would go forward to pass the ball to the right, especially if you are passing it off the left hip. A lot of recent instructional books and some videos seem to favor the approach in this video rather than turning the feet in slightly to face the target. It is quite confusing when trying to teach new students, especially when you have two coaches seeming to contradict each other. My personal view is that the player does what comes naturally to them to create the platform, that they are aware of the different methods, and that they play the shot according to how much time they have to move to a good passing position. Any comments?

i just started playimg vball last month and did the tryout for our volleyball team just for fun since my friend who is a varsity at our high school university listed me at the participantss of the tryout,, i did not know a thing about volleyball but the coach surprisingly picked me,,, my school was a powerhouse and won the championship in the city and is competing at the regional,, what i only did is spiking and got a great vertical jump and i am fast too (just a little) spikint is the only thing i know from volleyball i did not know any of those things in volleyball even the position or anything or the rules,, i am a former basketball player and basketball is my passion since day 1 but im starting to like volleyball just because i am inspired of this anime called haikyuu (some of you probably know it and my frienf just asked me to watch it and it was fun) and im getting the passion for the game but i also got the passion for the game of basketball,, i am quick shooting guard in basketball who stands at 5'7 and i already started training in our varsity team in our school,, i did not know any of the game but i got picked,, so this comment is probably too long but i typed this long just to aske for help if what should i pick for my path if its volleyball that i have no idea about but is getting the game or basketball which is the sport i know since i was in elementary school,, if i can be a varsity of both i will do it but since its not allowed i only need to pick 1 so plss i dont know if anyone will read this long comment i typed and i dont know if this will reach to someone but please helpp me,, a reply in the comment would help and btw im a 14yr old boy who has a athletic body that can jump naturally and fast,, and that trait of mine will help me from both the sport. Thank u and comment will be much appreciated
