One way to prevent the mistake, is to ask the players to lift the heel off the floor. When that happens, it force the body on the front part of the feet and therefore drive the shoulder forward. When the body weight is on the heel, the shoulders would go upward instead of forward. Players should lift up the heels even when they practice passing to themselves.
Great tip there. Let's just make it even simpler and ask players to always be on the front of their feet. When do you want them on their heels anyways ;-)
@@annabertram8889 I haven't been playing for years since covid started and plus I don't have much space in my house to actually practice more I used to be better and helped my team win multiple games but now I just suck

Thanks... Do you keep your eyes on the ball until it hits your arms, or do you lose site of it two inches before it touches your arms, and look to where you want to pass?
you mentioned training players in hamilton, do you have any idea of any places that train people ages 18+? only found youth camps and im a college student
back up!!! like HUSTLE!!! don't remove your eyes from that ball and make sure that you plant your feet as quickly as possible. here's a drill that I learned to get a ball that's coming too fast but it still could be in (includes a server) 1. Make sure the server is ready 2. The server will serve 3. Make sure you are in left-back, middle or right because it's a deep ball 4. Keep your eyes on the ball 5. Here's where it gets confusing, do NOT back peddle, like backwards run, you wanna keep your head and eyes focused at the ball but your body is running back to where you could possibly pass the ball 6. Plant your feet immediately and then pass
I’m not sure but playing a lot is gonna help with co-ordination of the feet. the more players play the more they’ll understand if the ball is fast enough to go back or slow enough to go forward
Mark my words.... H U S T L E coaches will go for a player that will hustle and run and not give up over a player that can hit the ball correctly but will let the ball drop if it doesn't come straight to them. And don't have a bad attitude i have a teammate (gonna call her K) K is the best she improved in only two weeks but every time someone made a mistake she would get mad and fuss at my teammates and I when coach would try to talk to her she would ignore the coach and she was benched because she didn't have a good attitude. Be someone coachable listen when the coach tries to help you instead of getting down over you mistake or getting mad at the coach for correcting you just try to fix the mistake they will notice you trying and it will definitely make them want you on their team. And don't stress over not having experience just let the instructor know and they'll understand (that's where you hustling will come in hand) and have fun volleyball is, in my opinion, a fun teaching experience.
Two things I see wrong. In the demo, her wrong lead foot moves forward, meaning her shoulders are not square to her target. Two, by taking a large step while passing she is immediately off balance. She should beat the ball to the position and her her feet should be slightly wider than shoulder width. Quiet body, quiet head.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh bruh both technique are useful ………. When the ball is going short you can’t really pass forward because then the ball will end on the other side ….. there is no better form, you just need to know when to use which technique. I think you need to explain things further and stop giving false information. I use both I don’t think one is superior than the other. AND passing to yourself is a useful practice because 1. Not everyone have a net or a partner to practice with 2. Passing straight to yourself helps you with ball and arm contact.

Hey Players and coaches 💀
Thanks... Do you keep your eyes on the ball until it hits your arms, or do you lose site of it two inches before it touches your arms, and look to where you want to pass?
I have the same problem
I wish someone would see this and explain if it's right or wrong
Got one of the other volleyball players responded, on another video. Yes, you keep your eyes on the ball all the way.
you mentioned training players in hamilton, do you have any idea of any places that train people ages 18+? only found youth camps and im a college student
Now I understand, why coach is necessary to produce good VB team

Question: how do you get players to understand to move their feet toward the ball and read the balls movements coming over the net like short balls?
I’m not sure but playing a lot is gonna help with co-ordination of the feet.
the more players play the more they’ll understand if the ball is fast enough to go back or slow enough to go forward

don't raise ur arms or lock your shoulders as muh

If you don’t have experience, then you should show potential (Such as great communication with teammates, always running for the ball, etc)
