      Ozempic! Watch out tho-it’s very hard to get prescribed because people can abuse it (idk how but ok) and it’s like $1600 a month 😳 HOWEVER! Ozempic was heaven sent! It makes your life so much less complicated. Even intermittent fast is more achievable with longer periods of time before you even start thinking about your first meal. Ozempic has definitely been a real game changer for me and so many others

      Possible thyroid tumors, including cancer. Tell your health care provider if you get a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath. These may be symptoms of thyroid cancer. In studies with rodents, Ozempic® and medicines that work like Ozempic® caused thyroid tumors, including thyroid cancer. "I feel better skinny" THANK YOU!!! Not all of us are comfortable with our bodies when we are bigger, nor do we all get curves in good areas. Let every "body" be the size and weight where they feel the most confident. What was done to Adele was insane. I can’t imagine living in a body that I don’t exercise. I’m not a gym rat, but the way exercise makes your body feel is a whole different Universe. I hated the thought of working out. I hated it for years, but the best thing I’ve done so far in my life was to gradually welcome workouts in my routine. I’m on and off, sometimes for months, but the body remembers and each movement pays off in the long run. I completely agree that when it comes to weight loss, calorie deficit is the thing, but the sculpting comes from somewhere else.

    • @ashleymiles2350
      @ashleymiles2350 2 роки тому +7

      I think it’s different for everyone. Exercise has always personally made me so tired and sluggish! Ive never gotten a “high” or “rush” from any workout and there have been wide awake going to the gym and I’ll do an hour of light weight lifting and I will doze off on the 5 minute drive home because I can barely keep my eyes open. I’ve tired every single exercise ad workout know to man and every single one has done this. But I also have insanely low cortisol, iron, and red blood cell count every time I get blood drawn. And my sugar is always around 50, even if I eat a whole package of cookies sucked down with a mocha frappe! And if I have sugar, I will immediately fall asleep. My mom and grandma are the same way though. My doctor said he thinks we are just an Anomaly. So I really really watch what I eat since I don’t get much exercise.

    I haven’t related to a video so much in my present time than this one! I have a very similar body type to you, and after I got married..I smacked on 30lbs and I’m 5’5. I knew I was unhappy being overweight, but everyone around me (including my husband) told me I wasn’t fat. But then when I found out I was tipping into being obese.. that was it. I’ve so far lost that 30lbs and my goal weight is 120lb, and I’m 129 now so I got only 9lbs to go and it’s exciting!
    When I was at my heaviest (160), it was affecting not only my mental health, but my intimacy with my husband because I hated how I looked naked.
    But I totally agree with the whole body positivity movement. There shouldn’t be shame in hating being overweight, or be labeled as fat phobic. It’s actually scary how much the mainstream pushes people to accept being overweight.

Even if we may not all agree with you every single time, it’s refreshing that you’re unapologetically you and not saying things in a performative way for the sake of not getting attacked/cancelled. This is the real uncut stuff I love. Very raw real talk, no sugarcoating. I'm 23 and in my teen years my weight was *heavily fluctuating* because I was depressed and not taking care of me, either eating wrong or simply too much or not enough. Only in the last *3 to 5 years* I REALLY learned to listen to my body & get it in tune, as well as what works for *ME* . I've never had major weight issues since then. I'm skinny, my weight is stable and I know what diets and exercises work for my body and make me look and FEEL good. Girls, PLEASE, listen to your body *(and doctor ofc!)* and trust yourself and your gut if you feel that something is off or wrong, your gut never lies to you.

I said I thought it was sad that the emphasis was on body positivity and not health.... ugh. So many triggered women... but come on.... size 18 is not healthy and it shouldn't be glorified. I've been there and it's not fun.

    Thank you so much for sharing your journey! It really resonated with me. I tried literally every single diet my whole high school life, I was not thin enough to be anorexic but I know I had some issues, I was blumic for a while, then I learnt I had PCOS and blood sugar problems. I knew I had to eat healthy but my relationship with food was so fucked up, nothing would work anymore. It was at the time that I moved to italy and I decided to completely let go of any sort of diet. Initially I started gaining weight, then I dieted again which made thing even worse. After 3 years of being in my heighest weight, I moved back home during the pandemic.
    In that time, I focused on my self healing. I started watching your channel, working out everyday, not because I had to but because it felt right. I was eating organic, healthy food. And the biggest difference was I was intuitively and mindfully eating. I healed myself, I broke out of my food addiction. I was no longer emotional or binge eating. I felt like myself again just like you said.
    Im still on a journey, i know this journey will never end. I was anticipating this video and you gave me a great motivation to start to take this healthy living style even more seriously. My goal is to eat healthily and exercise every other day for a great hot girl summer! And I wouldnt mind sheding those last few pounds either! 😅 here’s to LOVING & RESPECTING ourselves enough to threat it the way it deserves to be treated. Only you know the remedy for your body. Listen to it. Listen to your intuition and enjoy the ride! ❤️

    To me, body positivity is, and should be, that no matter what weight you are, you are still you and still valuable. There may be times when you have to put your family, your education, your money, whatever, over looking the way you wish you looked. And you're not worth less during those times. But there's nothing wrong with wanting to look a certain way, unless (in my opinion) it consumes you and disables you in those other categories.

    As an alternative to an intense diet or drugs if anyone can’t do that, I’ve lost 50lb slowly over the pandemic just by cutting calories and exercising just enough to get into a slight calorie deficit and it really added up. I also started doing exercises as a hobby rather than a weight loss thing. For full context, I gained all that weight when my endometriosis was at its most severe and I was stuck in bed so obviously getting out of bed and getting back to normal probably contributed to a lot of that weight loss. But honestly this weight loss has been ridiculously easy and I’m glad I chose to do it slowly. Big respect to anyone that has the self control to do a strict weight loss diet but that just doesn’t play to my strengths. I personally have much more patience than self control so I think that’s why this worked so well for me.

    Went through the exact same thought process right before I turned 18, was slightly chubby since I was a child and have always been very into esthetics and beauty, and really dreamed of looking like the chicks on mtv. So when I was about to be 18 I decided that it was entirely possible for me and something I wanted to do for myself. People were trying to discourage me and call me crazy and silly for putting in effort bc I was conventionally very attractive already and nowhere near needing to lose weight, my standards were extremely high and I wanted to live them myself so I stuck to it and payed no mind to anyone, knowing they could never know better than me about my own body and my happiness. A year later I was at my dream weight and have revealed stunning body proportions I wasn't even aware I was blessed with before. To say I stood out then is an understatement, nobody questioned me again and now, some 10 years later, the difference in looks and youthfulness between me and most of my generation is almost jarring. Getting in the shape i wanted was likely the first thing I ever fully did for myself, that was a significant undertaking, and I want to tell everyone: do it as soon as possible, get yourself where you want to be and do it as young as possible. It was the best possible decision personally, socially, romantically, medically, even professionally and financially. Being hot shit is the shit, looking (and feeling) better at 30 than you did in high school is the shit, yoga is the shit! Yes, there is so much more to you than that, but your body is so extremely important for your experience of life it isn't shallow or vain at all to prioritize it highly.

The only thing I would say is you BMI shouldn't be at the top of your list for things to help you lose weight as when I was in a college course for Public Services my teacher said he was classed as obese according to his BMI even though he was and is super fit. I truly believe in intuitive eating, which is what you are describing at the end of the video. Allowing yourself to have treats, and 'bad' foods in moderation is so freeing after a lifetime of restrictive eating. In fact, I find restriction actually leads to food obsession/bingeing behaviours. What you said about exercise also resonates...it's very much about intention and setting the mood for the day. I would exercise even if I didn't lose a pound just for the stress relief. Any body changes that result are just the gravy, no pun intended. Good for you Shallon! I think you always look beautiful, but it's how you feel that counts and no amount of toxic positivity to be unhealthy is worth your health or happiness :)
