I am so glad I watched this I have invested in a lot of wire wrapping tools, poly clay ,resin the powders ,heat gun, and many more things But I didnt know that you had to go back over the projects several times to get the air bubbles out.
Lovely pieces! Just a couple suggestions...Use a textured silicone mat for resining, resin just peels off after curing and the raised bits help your resin to not have resin pooled on the edges if it spills over. Cover the resin coated pieces during the 5 minutes between heat gun blasts with a plastic tote box to avoid more cat hair and dust falling onto the resin, and cover afterwards with the tote while waiting for the resin to cure. Or just use UV resin instead of 2-part.
I do not think any of us artists can keep our work surface clean for 2 minutes..LOL Great video... I love this idea.. You are truly an inspiration. I laughed when you said feel free to skip ahead. I was like nope want to watch it all the way through. Love watching another artist at work. They are just gorgeous.
I bought the holo powder, and oh man oh man!!! That stuff is gorgeous! And I love these pendants! Your work is so beautiful, thank you for sharing your gift!!!

Gorgeous as ever Von! 😍 I'm really wishing my health and money situation wasn't bad enough to make crafting almost impossible. I have to craft vicariously through YT'ers like your lovely self. Thanks for sharing! 💙

I will be looking into the nail powder, haven't tried that yet.
Спасибо за мастер-класс! Хороший урок! Ваше видео очень полезно! ❤️
These would make either neat dragon scales or pieces of armor.
If you saw a little wedge into a chop stick, it makes a great extension and allows you to hold it flat
Very cool
Thank ya, Chris!
@@backtoearthcreations i play with resin..mostly tumblers and some molds..but these are very cool...not sure im ready to add clay to my list of projects yet lol
I looooooooooooooove your work! As I am a beginner to this kind of stuff I wondered if you could do a video on the next step and discuss what the fittings are called and how they work eg pendant findings etc. I am totally lost as to what to ask for when shopping online.
So do you recommend this new resin you tried?
wash your stamp with soap and water and it will help it stick again.
Hey, hope it's here.
Hi love these. How do you put a hole or bail on it to hang?
Hey, Tammy! You could make a hole with a craft knife or tiny cutter before the clay is baked, or you could use a hand drill or fine drill bit in a dremel or drill after the resin has cured
To make your stamps stick better, you should first clean both your stamps and your acrylic block with soap and water really well. If they still don't stick very well (sometimes the ones from China don't stick well ever), then you'll need to either get a sheet of stick or over and over stuff, or a stick it over and over glue, to put onto your acrylic block. The glue would be easier to clean off your block afterwards though... that's the only things that I have found that work well.
Thank you, Magik! These are great ideas!
@@backtoearthcreations I actually do a lot of different things, leather work, jewelry making, polymer clay stuff, resin work, various art stuff, cake decorating, acrylic and gel nails, sewing, crocheting and flower drying, but I also make cards. So I'm very used to dealing with the various problems that come with stamping, and the different problems that come with them. Polymer clay stamps from the more reputable companies cost more, but they also usually stick to the blocks way better than the stamps from China. I've used quite a few different types, and the cheap China ones are definitely the worst. So these are things that have worked for me. There are also two things that are particularly bad for polymer stamps, being in the sun and cold temperatures.
I am no where as good as you at making jewelry items though. I really like learning how to do new things, if you can't tell, LoL. I have found your tutorials very helpful, although i do wish some of your links sold to Canada, as some aren't available in Canada, and I support you on patron, although not for as much as I used to, ever since you stopped shipping the kits to Canada... I'm not sure how much the shipping charges went up, but I wouldn't have minded paying a couple dollars more for the shipping... anyway, I hope that helped 😁
Can you use UV resin for the doming part?
Yep! UV resin works well for this
how do you clean out the plastic bottle after?
Heya, Penelope! I am making a video to demonstrate how I do it!
@@backtoearthcreations cool!
Yeah Yvonne, what is it? We start out with a two foot by two foot space and for some reason, by some miracle you find yourself in a small 5"x5 " space. Wondering how the hell we keep doing that.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That poor camera, it doesn't know where to focus. Is the bottle you use to dispense the resin one you just peal it out of later?
lol, right?! I do not make it easy for the camera :p Yep! I either peel the cured resin out, or let it build up over time if it starts to get too hard to remove.
@@backtoearthcreations thank you. I was hoping to see that cat head cutter you made in the video since there was a cat head cab in the thumbnail. I remember you making that cutter.😁
