    I recently found out that if you skip ads the person who published the video wont get credit for the advert payment to their channel. I now watch all adverts and videos in the entirety as to fully support these amazing videos full of inspiration and to ensure that the channel is getting the full benefit from blessing us with their time and crafty knowledge. many thanks Yvonne for being a continuous presence on youtube. keep up the great work.

    In the video, you suggest using mica powder. I just wanted to add, should anyone try this, CHECK WHERE IT'S FROM. The vast majority of mica is mined by kids in unsafe and exploitative conditions.

    And yes, please make a tut on that pendant. I know you already did one on the Pebeo paints, but another one would be much appreciated!
    Also, what do you think of the idea of you endorsing a hashtag for when people have specific questions for you? Maybe #AskVon or something like that? ;)

    Hi Von, Happy Birthday! I just watched this video and love how the cabs turned out. I have been in a creative funk lately but you inspire me so much. I am waiting on my UV resin to arrive. I do have a question. If I wanted to make this a bead instead of the cabochon, would I drill the hole before using the resin? Not sure if I want the bead to be drilled side to side or just a hole in the front for a bail. BTW that brush water, why not save it and put in a spray bottle to spritz your work for a soft shimmery effect? Just a thought. Have a wonderful day :)

  • @Lindasinish
    @Lindasinish 6 років тому +1

    Hey Von...Question for ya, maybe a tutorial idea...Why do you sometimes cut your cabs with plastic wrap and sometimes without plastic wrap???

    • @tyrroo
      @tyrroo 6 років тому +1

      I've wondered that, too! Although in the Jack & Sally Pendants video, she used plastic wrap on the heart and it seemed to make it more puffy and rounded on the edges, so maybe that's why? #AskVon

    • @jameswitte5167
      @jameswitte5167 6 років тому +1

      It might be because sometimes she uses self doming resin ... Other times she uses PYM 2 ... Different viscosities ... But I could be wrong ...

    just a reminder...... our SKIN-- absorbs anything we put on it and all of the creative tools we use have major harmful chemicals in them. So, it would be a good thing to try to get use to wearing latex or vinyl gloves when you create. I'd like to see us all make it to the years to come. ;-)

    These are beautiful! I've been playing around with cabachons and clay and textures, thanks to your tuts. Have you ever worked with Gilders paste? My favorite for clay work is the DecoArt Metallic Lustre. They have gorgeous colors, and work much the same way as the halo effect, but with more luscious results - if done right! lol. Thank you for sharing your skills with us!

    Nice work Von. I haven’t finished watching yet, but do you have any plan/timeframe for when/if you’ll make the steampunk gas mask?
    What is the shiny goo that you used?
    Do you like geckos?
    Can we be friends?
    This project is amazing. By far my favorite.
    Is there any way that I could obtain one of these from you? If so, how much would it cost?
    Can I get a shoutout? Pllleeeaaasseeee? No? Okay...
    Maybe if you ever do the gasmask idea, then you could give me a shoutout?
    Have a great day Von. Always remember, you’re a great person and an amazing inspirational person to look up to. Do what your heart tells you to. You make great work.

    Happy Birthday Von! I was watching the trailer for the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD and there is a scene that accentuated the way that they have had their Armor done to resemble their Dragons and I am trying to find a way do that in polymers and stuff. I would love to see what you could do with that. I am trying to recreate the Betrothal Necklace that Hiccup gave to Astrid during Season 5 of the Netflix Dragons: Race to the Edge.

    I realise you made this tutorial a cpl of years ago, but I wanted to say when you use the metal gears, if you know your going to do 2-3 layers of resin on your pieces, try adding the gears after the first layer, it's really cool and looks like they are floating above the piece. They have to be fairly thin though, but the depth they give is awesome. 👌 Thanks Yvonne, always come back to your tutorials many times, I find I am always inspired each and every time to try different ways of doing things. 💐
