I recently found out that if you skip ads the person who published the video wont get credit for the advert payment to their channel. I now watch all adverts and videos in the entirety as to fully support these amazing videos full of inspiration and to ensure that the channel is getting the full benefit from blessing us with their time and crafty knowledge. many thanks Yvonne for being a continuous presence on youtube. keep up the great work.
Love steampunk.
What! Friggin WATER! Where has this non-stick trick been the past 2 years of my life! It's so simple and obvious! I'm so outraged at your brilliance! Lol I also didn't know you could paint with something before cooking... I love you.
They are so pretty. I would love to see a tutorial with the Pebeo paints that pendant was amazing. You are a huge inspiration and you give me the confidence to keep trying new things x
You are so sweet! Blessings to you and Randy.
Happy Birthday hunni hope you had a lovely day you deserve it love from the UK XX🎂🎂🎂
Loved this so much .. I tried it myself .. as I do love the lumiere paints .. I did a floral one .. and am impatient for it to dry .. so am back on here again .. hahahah .. thank you for your time and patience in presenting this video!!
Beautiful work Yvonne.
20:03 OMG I have that lion head brooch! my neighbor gave it to me when I was a little kid!
TYFS you’re very informative with your tutorials ❤️👍🏻
Yes...a tutorial on the blue pendan5...pleeeeeezzzz
Would totally love a pebeo crafting video.
Yes Pls show the blue
Awesome! So pretty!
In the video, you suggest using mica powder. I just wanted to add, should anyone try this, CHECK WHERE IT'S FROM. The vast majority of mica is mined by kids in unsafe and exploitative conditions.
Happy Birthday, Von!!
Yvonne...have. You ever had a problem with any of the two part resins turning a little yellow? I have always used a jewelry grade resin (Ice Resin) but is a little pricey. Love your channel....thanks!!
I keep stumbling onto one of your videos and thinking "Oh, I MUST subscribe to this lady"...then I realise "Oh, I AM subscribed". Then I stumble on another one and think "Oh, I MUST subscribe to this lady"...then I realise "Oh, I AM subscribed".
So, good news: I am subscribed. Bad news: I'm an idiot lol.
Thanks for a wonderful project packed with ideas, I hadn't thought of using my leathercraft stamps. This has opened up a whole load of design ideas.
I would put your paint water in a spray bottle and use it for the mica swirls.
Happy birthday!
Everything you make is so gorgeous!
And yes, please make a tut on that pendant. I know you already did one on the Pebeo paints, but another one would be much appreciated!
Also, what do you think of the idea of you endorsing a hashtag for when people have specific questions for you? Maybe #AskVon or something like that? ;)
Love this. BTW - Pour your rinse water with the holographic paint when you are done into a water bottle and use it as a Stress Reliever. I could look at it for hours and just melt my angst away! Shake it up and just relax . . . . .
The cup of paint water reminds me of space
Hi Yvonne. Can I really use MP Dimensional magic? Love everything you do by the way xxxx
Pour the paint water into baby food jars and you can use them to gaze at...lol...basically what Leah said...
I love this so much they turned out amazing you are such an amazing artist and I just love your videos. I love working with UV resin I didn't see the link for where you got yours could you please let me know that stuff is so expensive but so much fun!
Oh, I want those stamps!
J'aime beaucoup.. 😍😍😍👍👍
So neat :)
What kind of UV light machine do you use?
Hi Von, Happy Birthday! I just watched this video and love how the cabs turned out. I have been in a creative funk lately but you inspire me so much. I am waiting on my UV resin to arrive. I do have a question. If I wanted to make this a bead instead of the cabochon, would I drill the hole before using the resin? Not sure if I want the bead to be drilled side to side or just a hole in the front for a bail. BTW that brush water, why not save it and put in a spray bottle to spritz your work for a soft shimmery effect? Just a thought. Have a wonderful day :)
If I haven't said it ill say it again and again. I love your channel dear. Myself I create a lot of different things too. And sweetheart your channel has something for everyone. After watching your totorial on the leather mask. I went out and bought leather as well omg I love working with it!!! I'm a ren fair junkie lol. Now I make most of my costume needs and my daughter and I have a awesome time doing this stuff. Its made us closer as well. THANK YOU! Your friend in Oklahoma💜✌
Pretty!!!!
What would happen if you sprayed the paint with alcohol instead of water? Alcohol dries faster but how would it affect the paint?
Hey Von...Question for ya, maybe a tutorial idea...Why do you sometimes cut your cabs with plastic wrap and sometimes without plastic wrap???
I've wondered that, too! Although in the Jack & Sally Pendants video, she used plastic wrap on the heart and it seemed to make it more puffy and rounded on the edges, so maybe that's why? #AskVon
It might be because sometimes she uses self doming resin ... Other times she uses PYM 2 ... Different viscosities ... But I could be wrong ...
YON !!! We need you! Plastic or no plastic? The mystery can only be solved by you.
I think James/Jim might have the answer. The plastic cut cab might allow the resin to run off. Hmmm!
Gotta have a steampunk cab with the more of a purple and silver, how much??????????????????
Were u try in to reach me?
You inspire me to try different things and I Love your videos. Your personality shines!
You are an amazing artist really ☺️🙏🏻
Thank you so much for your kindness!
just a reminder...... our SKIN-- absorbs anything we put on it and all of the creative tools we use have major harmful chemicals in them. So, it would be a good thing to try to get use to wearing latex or vinyl gloves when you create. I'd like to see us all make it to the years to come. ;-)
These are beautiful! I've been playing around with cabachons and clay and textures, thanks to your tuts. Have you ever worked with Gilders paste? My favorite for clay work is the DecoArt Metallic Lustre. They have gorgeous colors, and work much the same way as the halo effect, but with more luscious results - if done right! lol. Thank you for sharing your skills with us!
Wow Incredible 👏 amazing tutorial. This so cool. I love it ❤❤❤❤❤ Komal Bhardwaj
WHY ARE YOU NOT USING THE PLASTIC WRAP,,,, sorry wasn't to be capitals.
Oh Yvonne, I bought the Jacquard paints ages ago and then forgot what I'd bought them for. Now I know! Oh dear, it must be my age - 52!! Love Amanda. 😁😁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thumbs up!!
Just out of curiosity ... Where did you attend art school?
Clark and Virginia
I was just thinking, in a hundred years people are gonna be saying "look, I have an ORIGINAL Yvonne William's cabachon. It cost a lot, but look how beautiful it is."
Hi, Yvonne. I’m about to start releasing my creative juices with polymer clay for the first time. I’m strangely nervous but I wish to congratulate you on your manner and clarity with respect to instructions. I have subscribed and look forward to following your tutorials. Wishing you every success. Lee from Australia.
I am watching late but the blue pendant was beautiful. If not yet yes I would love a tutorial. All these were amazing. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the look of each piece.
I don't know if you'll see this comment after 5 yrs past posting, but firstly, serious hair envy !!!! Then, I love how you did a different take on steampunk, using impressions mostly rather then relying on premade cogs and gears etc. Very nice work.
Really enjoyed your video .. And your hair, how fabulous is your hair !!! You have the hair I've wanted my whole life !!!!
Absolutely LOVE THESE! Gave me some great ideas!😍🙏
Oh man....I am in so much new trouble...another incredible medium I have not tried yet ;-). LOL I have done a lot of resin work...but had not tried the clay. Love the colors in this group.
Hey Vonn, I've been trying to find the "clear" sheet stamp page that you used here, I've been looking everywhere for it and and can't find it :( Any suggestions? As getting all these stamps is very expensive.
Can you use acrylic paint ? Im new to all this.
Wonderful. Thank you for sharing your experience and skills.
Beautiful I don’t know how many times I watch this video I love it 😁 I like to know how much are they? Really nice work
Hi Yvonne!! My name is rosa and i love your work. I have been weeks and weeks watching all the videos i can so i can learn from you. Im starting in the workd of jewelry and you are my inspiration. Im in a wheelchair but im a nail technician and i try to do as much as i can. Ill like to know where do you get your wires and how should i buy them?
I couldn't find what kind of UV resin that is. Please let me kbow? Thanks!!
Yes to Pebeo Tutorial please
Awesome where did you purchase the UV light oven?
Love this! I would love to see a tutorial on that other pendant. I would also like to see how you make these pendants. Do you wire wrap them or drill a hole? I'm new to polymer clay jewelry making and am really curious.
After baking, could you do multiple resin layers. And let each layer dry so you could do a 3D with the parts ???
James Witte yes, I've seen others doing it, and it looks gorgeous. (Usually finer layers using a small paintbrush)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFULL WORK. DO YOU EVER GO BEACH COMING OR RIVER COMING. FIND THINGS AND MAKE THINGS OUT OF THEM I DO IT WITH SEA GLASS.
I wonder if the paint water would keep in a sealed bottle. If it does you could so fill those tiny cute bottles with the paint water and use them as charms or paperweights if they're larger. I just think it would look really pretty.
The blue pendent is beautiful .....a tutorial would be great thanks
Looking forward to this one, Von, have a friend who's a Steampunk Lover! (I do too ;) ) Hope you have enjoyed your Birthday
Hey Yvonne, Loved these! No, Love love love these! Will definitely be attempting my own.
Right on!!
I copy you all the time you are my fav thanks. Xx merry Christmas
Hey! That's the first video that I've seen on your channel... Just thought that I'd say that I loved your work and that you seem so sweet :)
She is, she's lovely and she does the best tutorials ever.
What was the name of the UV resin you used and where can it be found? Thanks
Wow I really like these steampunk cabs
Change your elements if your oven isn't heating well.
I have a bag full of mica powders for sale, lol.
nail art gears would work and inexpensive.
Well we live in Florida and summer is hot as Hades. LOL
Nice work Von. I haven’t finished watching yet, but do you have any plan/timeframe for when/if you’ll make the steampunk gas mask?
What is the shiny goo that you used?
Do you like geckos?
Can we be friends?
This project is amazing. By far my favorite.
Is there any way that I could obtain one of these from you? If so, how much would it cost?
Can I get a shoutout? Pllleeeaaasseeee? No? Okay...
Maybe if you ever do the gasmask idea, then you could give me a shoutout?
Have a great day Von. Always remember, you’re a great person and an amazing inspirational person to look up to. Do what your heart tells you to. You make great work.
She puts some of these cabochons up for sale in her etsy store. Prices vary, depending on the size and materials used Here's the link:
www.etsy.com/shop/BacktoEarthCreations
The clear goo she used towards the end is a liquid resin.
tyrroo - Thank you very much. Not many people are kind enough to both inform someone AND tell it nicely. I appreciate your kindness. We need more people like you.
Awww, thank you! 😊
This is really beautiful and seems easy to do. May I ask just to serve as a guide for my own pricing: How much do you sell one cabochon for? Do you put them on a string, a chain, or do you sell them loose?
Sarah sarah She sells them in her Esty store for $5 to $8 each.
Love Love Love it and I would also like the 'other' thing u brought up 2do a tutorial on... I can't remember what u said {TBI is in the house (Traumatic Brain Injury)} !!! I'm so much in2 Steampunk, even at my age heee! Oh yea it was the other cabochon
I can see a Star Trek crafting episode, lol.
This one would be really cool as your tear drop with the flat wire
Love your videos and these pieces are so beautiful! But I have a question I heard that UV resin overtime turns a brownish tint. Are your pieces turning brownish at all?
His do you find an aproppriate respirator?
Do you sell these in bundles??? I love them
Happy birthday Yvonne
Is there a tutorial on the blue pebeo pendant?
Thanks for inspiring me, teacher!
I love this idea. I use that paint also.
Would a bowl of loose ones sell at a craft show?
So beautiful ❤️🇩🇰
I found them on your Etsy shop 😄
Your hair is beautiful!!
Very interested in the pabeo tray tutorial!
Oh my. How beautiful! I can not get Lumiere paints. But could I use pearl ex with water maybe instead?
You make me itch to try everything myself and spark my creative ideas. Thank you!
Link to UV resin please
The purple one is GORGEOUS, and the first one you showed was REALLY pretty It seemed to have like a rose gold effects with just enough black outlines in it/ !!! I LOVE, LOVE LOVE THEM.... you do great work !!!!!!
AND .!!!! the ( peebeeo ) I know I spelled that wrong!! I am sure !!! LOL that paint cabochon with the bubbles would be a great tut.. . it looks like the paint is wrinkled ... It's fabulous.... too bad the paint is so hard to replicate!!
Happy Birthday Von! I was watching the trailer for the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD and there is a scene that accentuated the way that they have had their Armor done to resemble their Dragons and I am trying to find a way do that in polymers and stuff. I would love to see what you could do with that. I am trying to recreate the Betrothal Necklace that Hiccup gave to Astrid during Season 5 of the Netflix Dragons: Race to the Edge.
Do you sell on your website?
Love the steampunk! And definitely would love a tutorial on the Pebeo!!! P.S. Happy Birthday!
I realise you made this tutorial a cpl of years ago, but I wanted to say when you use the metal gears, if you know your going to do 2-3 layers of resin on your pieces, try adding the gears after the first layer, it's really cool and looks like they are floating above the piece. They have to be fairly thin though, but the depth they give is awesome. 👌 Thanks Yvonne, always come back to your tutorials many times, I find I am always inspired each and every time to try different ways of doing things. 💐
The finished product is so pretty. I just want all of them. 😃LOL. The way you color them & design. SIGH SOOOO BEAUTIFUL.
Great job 👍💜❤💜🌹 love your work .. I have been watching you for almost an year I have enjoyed all your work ..
