    As a UCLA fan I can absolutely get behind having Laiatu Latu as the #1 edge rusher in the draft this year. He was literally everywhere on the field when the bruins were on defense, and he was in the backfield more often than he wasn’t. Whoever drafts him is going to get a GREAT player.

    Great work per usual Marcus. I really appreciate, and feel that it is rarer to see, perspectives such as yours on Darius Robinson - I think it would be easier for others to go into the film with a sense of bias and let it cloud their grading, but for you it is the opposite - what you saw on tape was the opposite of what your thoughts going into it were and you didn't let your previous thoughts get in the way. I imagine it would be easy to want to validate your original thoughts but you take the harder road and it leads to a truer grade imo. Keep up the great work man, enjoy Mexico

    I'll be honest I really like Marshawn Kneeland. Nice and big, powerful hands, some counter moves, defends the run, a lot of teams need a guy like that. Decent developmental pick. Agree with you that Darius Robinson has been hyped up way too high but still could have something. Chop Robinson is so raw but could totally be a third down specialist which NFL teams still love to have. Jonah Ellis looks really nice, those hands... so much pop. Looks more like a wrestler out there than a pass rusher, plus a beautiful spin move. Yes he's a bit short and needs to work on his lower body, butt is way too small, but yeah I'm in agreement he could be something.

    trust the tape! Huge fan of Latu. EDGE is the one position that I think can be evaluated from highlight tape, because it's truly the highlights that break games. The wins from the successful rushers always look so polished and efficient. I'm a believer that truly elite athleticism is overrated. There are many ways to put tackles in conflict. I would rather take a guy that has learned to use finesse to win because he shows that he has the practice skills master his craft. Mastery will continue to improve, but athleticism will only decrease. Obviously both is best.

  • @DCJayhawk57
    @DCJayhawk57 9 місяців тому

    Austin Booker is really interesting. I was very disappointed as a KU fan that he went pro, he's going to get drafted lower than he could have with another year in college. He only played 2 years, effectively (R-So), and was a transfer into Kansas last season.
    He seems like he needs some physical development more than anything. With his frame and length, 242 lb is flat out thin. I think he profiles more as a 4-3 DE than a standup edge, but he's got to add a lot of mass to get there.
    You are right in that he is very skilled, and he had a lot of splash plays for KU during their breakout season this past year. Selfishly, I would like to see him land on my Chiefs and get coached up by Joe Cullen.

      Bears traded up and got a STEAL in the 5th. He'll be positional for a year, put on a few pounds and learn from Montez Sweat . Starter in year 2 .

    Laiatu Latu is going to the win now/ all in Falcons and your video just further reinforces it as my sleeper pick. Rumors Dallas Turner isn't their top edge. Besides people say medicals will scare teams but combine says they look good and more importantly teams disregard medicals, if they can, all the time if the talent is right and they want to sweep in and win a SuperBowl in the next 2 years.
    Year 1 better pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson or Laiatu Latu?

    This draft is loaded with Edge rushers. I think 4 end up being legit pro bowl level players.

    Not gonna lie I watched his film vs USC and they literally just told him “Line up and beat every O lineman.. they chipped him with an H, then dbl teamed him with a Guard and Tackle.. n he still got pressure.. he just couldnt be blocked for the entire game and if Caleb wasnt the #1 pick he would have had like 7 sacks

    I know everyone has either DT or Tackle going to Cincy but gosh If Latu is staring them in the face Idk how you pass on him. Hubbard isnt a dude and his cap hit isnt justified, Ossai and Cam Sample has shown only enough juice for backup roles. In a year they are going to desperately need another dude. An edge rotation of Hendrickson, Myles Murphy and Laiatu Latu will be game changing

    Idk why a guy like booker wouldn’t just go back to school for a year refine his game get expierence and then enter the draft next season. Wasn’t Jonah Ellis dad the d line coach at Utah? The man had 13 sacks or something with one arm too. Curious what u think of Kamara out of Colorado st and Solomon out of Troy
