I think a big reason Guerendo took a while to break out is not only did he have injuries and play with some loaded backfields, he played wide receiver in high school and was learning a new position when he first got to college.
With all the ridiculous sports channels that have tons of subscribers, it really doesn't make sense. It speaks to the intententional dumbing down of our culture

@@ThatFranchiseGuyI’m curious. I’m a badger fan and most I talked to were very disappointed with Allen. For someone his size he more often than not gets tackled by one guy. He has glimpses of how he should run all the time but very soft and can’t ever stay healthy. Are you seeing similar things and just grading him on the potential of being more consistent and more aggressive?
So Allen actually left High School a year early. That means when he graduated HS he was really just a Junior (and was amazing, I know I had to play him his last year of HS).
David Johnson is a scary comp to me. I think a big part of his issue was his lack of flexibility and his large size for his athleticism. His knees were just garbage
The jump cut is what I’m always looking to see as my fave part to find in scouting RBs. Love that Lloyd is getting that love. But yes, he’s always looking for home runs
FSU fan, watched every game. Honestly thought you would overrate Bensons Vison and Elusiveness but this is spot on. Elite Speed, very good power.....Not great at finding a hole and once he gets going it takes a lot of time to change direction, does not throw in jump cuts. I do wonder if thats an every down back but certainly serviceable for 10-12 carries a game. I personally think our other back who will come out next year, Toafili, is the overall better back. Also, to your point about Benson not receiving hype, lets get real, they tried to tell everyone that the entire team revolved around Travis, as if a 13-0 team doesnt have other talent around him.... Hes a Norvell portal guy, Norvell is extremely good at evaluating RB's...Pollard, Henderson, Gainwell, Gibson. Granted nothing amazing but that was Memphis. He can do much better and is at a bigger program.

As a giants fan the very first thing i noticed on trey benson is the high and tight grip that tiki barber did in the 2nd half of his career. Immediately fell in love. Would love to hopefully grab him in the 2nd round!
My Blake Corum comp is David Montgomery more slippery than powerful in the box. Didn't get to show it often with Edwards there but he's a 3 down back with good blitz pick up and good hands
21:30 Err TFG Estime did run a pro day 40 and it was much improved in the 4.5s I'd also disagree on the Jaylen Wright contact balance grade specifically, I think it's one of his strengths. When he's at speed, he just never comes down via arm tackles, ping pongs out of tackles without losing speed Love the SEC disclaimers lol
I agree he runs through arm tackles, I think it's more of a difference in how we'd grade that. For me that is acceleration, size, power, and speed much more than contact balance. Contact balance for me is much more about lower body strength often paired with stiff arms and breaking tackles when you aren't in your "burst" stage. Also the ability to absorb a hit and redirect contact when you aren't the one dictating the attack.
Lagarrette Blount, Arian Foster, Michael "The Burner" Turner, and Terrell Davis were all either late round or UDFA running backs who were lowend prospects. 1st round talented backs doesn't mean HOF'ers

I'm with you on Will Shipley. He looks really, really nice. Reminds me a bit of Travis Etienne but I like him better. Give him a year with NFL strength training and he could fill out as well.

Anyone who needs to see why there should be more hype around Trey, just watch his highlights vs UF this last year. That third touchdown run was like, one of the most pure hardnose run plays I've ever seen. Bounces around in the scrum without losing a step, rips through two tackles, makes a defender look like a fool, and then stiff arms a 4th guy WHILE FALLING BACKWARDS INTO THE ENDZONE. Man is going to be an absolute terror in the league.
Shipley is a beast. But to compare him to Bush is wild. Reggie was a different animal. The closest thing I’ve seen to Barry Sanders when he was at USC. Bush was more than “faster” than Shipley lol.
He said that Bush was a special COLLEGE PLAYER, but thinks Shipley has similar upside to Bush as a pro. Bush was solid in the league, but nothing close to Barry Sanders.

(Maybe it was the Kardashians) but Will is not the athlete Reggie was. Shipley is athletic in his own way, but Bush isn’t just “faster” like he’s saying. Reggie is on a whole other level athletically.
Braelon Allen is gonna eat against the lighter defenses in the league. Everyone runs nickel or dime as their base anymore. Big backs are going to be back en vogue. He's going to get drafted too high, but would love to pair him with Pacheco on the Chiefs. Two guys who just run through you, when combined with a hopefully dynamic again passing game would be a menace. You've warmed me some on Estime. His play speed is definitely better than his 40, and his floor is really high.
It sure feels like the nfl told us this rb class is bad. Not that there's no good players in it or anything, but a lot of teams preferred filling their rb situation in free agency. Dallas and LAC feel like the only spots where they expect a rookie to be a potentially significant contributor.
Just throwing this out there as an idea for you, I think some of your younger viewers would benefit from seeing one highlight of your comp the tail end of the breakdown. Ie, showing a Jordan Howard highlight after the Estime highlights just to kinda sell you on where you’re coming from
Know lower level of comp and injury to consider but Rasheen Ali production and tape looked damn good. I think he is the biggest RB sleeper of the draft. Speed, vision, contact balance and even some power. Surprised he didn't make it into your top 10.
So happy you stopped dumping on my guy Estime as an AJ Dillon clone (considering Dillon is 25 pounds heavier and a bit taller). Estime to me is another Tyler Allgier (same exact size, 4.6 forty time for Tyler, but Estime a hair fast on the 10 yard split.) Loving the content!
I am biased but watching Trey Benson at FSU I could just tell he was different than any other RB I’ve watched. It was just crazy how fast he could move at that size. I also don’t understand how he’s being slept on considering he’s as good if not better than Dalvin Cook when he was coming out
So have you just not gotten to Tyrone Tracy yet? Or is there some big weaknesses in his game that you saw? I think he really could flourish in the NFL if used properly given his combination of athletic ability, pass catching, and ability to make guys miss. One of the most underrated RBs in the draft to me.
I think Thomas Jones could be a good comp for Shipley. Jones had a great career, although little discussed, and Jones is an actor now, so there you go!
I don't know what people are talking about. I see potential with a lot of these guys, and many will likely be productive starters. That being said, I wouldn't touch any of them until the 3rd round at the earliest. Only bad teams spend significant assets on RBs, and you can find 80-90% of the production in rounds 4-7 or even as UDFAs.
My Corum comp would be Clyde Edwards Helaire. Trey Benson is really fun, but I've got Lloyd as RB1. Just more tools in his game. He'll always have a place on a roster even if he doesn't develop into an All Pro RB. Benson has big Trey Sermon vibes. Doesn't do enough in an offense and isn't quite as great at the things he is very good at.
My only question and potential answer to why he’s being overlooked is the lack of production for Trey benson. Like he wasn’t even top 50 in the country in yards in 13 games. For a guys whose supposed to be so good why doesn’t he even have 2,500 scrimmage yards in his career?

This is the first I've heard of Trey Benson as RB1. 6'0" at 215, running at 1.51/4.39 speed. I saw his testing and then I watched some highlights... tell me he's not Breece Hall. That's what I see. I'm surprised nobody is talking about him.

Blake Corum got the most quickness and best vision in a pile. A couple have breakaway speed which rarely happens

(Maybe it was the Kardashians) but Will is not the athlete Reggie was. Shipley is athletic in his own way, but Bush isn’t just “faster” like he’s saying. Reggie is on a whole other level athletically.

Braelon Allen is gonna eat against the lighter defenses in the league. Everyone runs nickel or dime as their base anymore. Big backs are going to be back en vogue.
He's going to get drafted too high, but would love to pair him with Pacheco on the Chiefs. Two guys who just run through you, when combined with a hopefully dynamic again passing game would be a menace.

It sure feels like the nfl told us this rb class is bad. Not that there's no good players in it or anything, but a lot of teams preferred filling their rb situation in free agency. Dallas and LAC feel like the only spots where they expect a rookie to be a potentially significant contributor.

Know lower level of comp and injury to consider but Rasheen Ali production and tape looked damn good. I think he is the biggest RB sleeper of the draft. Speed, vision, contact balance and even some power. Surprised he didn't make it into your top 10.

I am biased but watching Trey Benson at FSU I could just tell he was different than any other RB I’ve watched. It was just crazy how fast he could move at that size. I also don’t understand how he’s being slept on considering he’s as good if not better than Dalvin Cook when he was coming out

So have you just not gotten to Tyrone Tracy yet? Or is there some big weaknesses in his game that you saw? I think he really could flourish in the NFL if used properly given his combination of athletic ability, pass catching, and ability to make guys miss. One of the most underrated RBs in the draft to me.
I think Thomas Jones could be a good comp for Shipley. Jones had a great career, although little discussed, and Jones is an actor now, so there you go!
I don't know what people are talking about. I see potential with a lot of these guys, and many will likely be productive starters.
That being said, I wouldn't touch any of them until the 3rd round at the earliest. Only bad teams spend significant assets on RBs, and you can find 80-90% of the production in rounds 4-7 or even as UDFAs.

My Corum comp would be Clyde Edwards Helaire. Trey Benson is really fun, but I've got Lloyd as RB1. Just more tools in his game. He'll always have a place on a roster even if he doesn't develop into an All Pro RB. Benson has big Trey Sermon vibes. Doesn't do enough in an offense and isn't quite as great at the things he is very good at.
My only question and potential answer to why he’s being overlooked is the lack of production for Trey benson. Like he wasn’t even top 50 in the country in yards in 13 games. For a guys whose supposed to be so good why doesn’t he even have 2,500 scrimmage yards in his career?

This is the first I've heard of Trey Benson as RB1. 6'0" at 215, running at 1.51/4.39 speed. I saw his testing and then I watched some highlights... tell me he's not Breece Hall. That's what I see. I'm surprised nobody is talking about him.
