Tks for the video just bought a Panasonic as my fan is done I noticed the vent hose that's another project don't believe my current fan has one its an older home

👍 Thanks! Very helpful. One question, I noticed most folks aren't using the flex-Z fast bracket but rather are screwing through drywall to studs and blocking to secure the fan unit to the adaptor. I'm curious about this approach. It seems like it would be easier to avoid the flex bracket all together but I hadn't thought about doing it that way. Hope this makes sense.
Never used metal bracket from factory box.
All the time piece of 2x4 or similar board and 4 screws like in this video.
Of course you can use a bracket, but only if you install it from attic.
My work with Panasonic installation mostly from the room, and probably ones in a year from attic. So that's why i never used bracket.

Им главное чтоб была коробка, а как она там закреплена никто не делает этому замечаний. Ну не было у меня с собой той коробки что гвозди сбоку, только ремадельская с хвостиками :-)
А крышечку сверху прикрутил на неё?)А не более чем в 4" от коробки,закрепил провода скобой?))

Why the junction box? Were the wires too short?
Yep, just 6" short. Old connectors box was on left, new on right. And wire go straight down into wall to the switch. No way to pull out some inches more.

Why not just use a hose clamp instead of tape? Is tape code or better in some way?
Clamp can't seal hose. Any tape will work but never clamp. As you can see, i hardly remove 40 years old duct tape. All ceiling fan in US buildings connected with tape.
Only pipe behind cloth dryer attached with clamp, because it's need to be cleaned time to time.
