- I bought and rebuilt an original HPI Micro RS4. Then I changed the wheelbase and custom painted a Porsche 959 body. I also set up two courses to run it!

i just rebuilding this. what a great car. they still produce this car in fact
I think I saw that, but it is their drift version. Not sure what the difference is. Also, I think it might by RTR.
@@quietrcI just picked up a Micro RS4 mustang. It’s not labeled as drift or sport, but it comes with rubber wheels and drift wheels.
i no longer have the manual to the kit a bought in 2002 and recently built a second micro from ebay and amazon sourced stock and upgrade parts including brushless power and a gyro stablizier...the car is easy to build up from the exploded views on hpi's website...BUT i didn't even remotely remember about using the nut driver tool to align the steering servo, thanks for the tip
Hey, if my little video helps just one person, then it was all worth it! Thanks for checking it out!
Mine needs love it's in bits atm running rwd on 2s its a lil rocket
I wish I could track down some better tires. Definitely difficult to get it to hook up.
@@quietrc i got all my bits from modelsport uk i probably have spares somewhere ill hwva look
I recently started refreshing my Micro RS4. It's not an original, but the NiMH battery is toast and I've been trying to source an appropriately sized LiPO. I hadn't considered going with a battery with less Mah than the stock battery. How long does the battery last from the JRX2?
I think it lasted me about 15-20 minutes. However, that was just the one that was supplied with the JRX2 Mini RTR kit, they sell an 800MaH version that's the same size. So about a 25% increase. Very reasonable at around $26. www.hobbytown.com/dynamite-reaction-2s-50c-hard-case-lipo-battery-w-ec2-connector-7.4v-800mah-dynb825h2/p1261446
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi. What is track width of the porsche body? looks great
I have the wheels set up for 98mm in the front, 100mm for the rear, and that seems to do the trick. I forget if I mention it in the video or not, but the 959 body is a little short, even with the shortest wheelbase for the Micro RS4. But I trimmed it creatively and it seems to work.
I have the 1/10 scale RS4MT
Why you crash it the whole time? Sorry, but very unpleasent, its not even funny :/
Thanks for checking the video out!
