This video came at the perfect time for me. Built my channel to this point on GoPros and currently a DJI Pocket 3, but now ready for a ‘proper’ camera. I don’t have a horse in the race and don’t have to worry about switching systems. Currently leaning towards a C80, but worried once Sony responds it’ll just blow it out the water! Thanks for the insights
No judgement Cam & Connor if you come back to Canon. We’ll treat you like the prodigal son and have our arms wide open to embrace you. The R5 II will be your welcoming home gift. 😊
Sony did not go with a larger mount because E-Mount was really designed for crop sensor cameras. And Sony when they went full frame really did not want to redesign a new mount system and I guess piss off the first Sony E-Mount buyers it would had been bad press. But I think they could have done a new mount if they really wanted to. The only camera I can see people getting mad is if they bought the Sony NEX 7. All the other NEX cameras are kind of like little hobby cameras. I think there was the Sony NEX 6 that might have had a viewfinder also.
The weird thing the Sony A99 and A77 A-Mount cameras had amazing grips. I shoot the Olympus OMD E-M1ii and that camera has a really nice grip. I'm not promoting M43 but if you have a chance try the grip it feels really good in the hands. I have the Panasonic Lumix GH4 and that camera has a good grip but not as good as Olympus. Who ever is designing these E-Mount cameras needs to take a page for A-Mount cameras.
how is this channel not bigger. Consistently putting out relevant, quality reviews
I really appreciate the kind words! I’m hoping the YT algorithm will cut me a break soon

Absolutely! There aren’t really bad options these days, just preferences. You’ll have to comeback and let me know what you end up choosing!

I’ve never used those cameras, but if that’s the case, then absolutely! These E-Mount cameras need a redesign
