    If you are putting the pine on a wall, put black ground cover on wall first and then the pine boards. If the pine shrinks any, it won’t show plastic or insulation underneath. We did this in our camp and it turned out great!

    Either put a small log under the tree to roll it on to make pulling it up the hill out of the tangled brush easier, put the tractor as close as you can to pull it, make up a block and tackle pulley system to magnify your pulling power, or get an electric winch for your tractor.

  • @phillipkeeling7327
    @phillipkeeling7327 2 роки тому

    The tractor is a game changer but be careful. So easy to break a leg or worse rolling those things around. I’m in northern Michigan and have been using my little kubota on our rural land for about ten years. I would suggest using the bucket and a chain to get logs out of tough places then turn around and pull with a chain. Use shorter chains. And weld or bolt a couple sturdy hooks to the top of the bucket. I had to take a nap after watching you vid😀

    That tractor handled those logs up the hill like NOTHING!! So sweet!! Also, I can’t wait to see all the wood finishing touches that you use it for inside your house. I built my daughter a play house in our backyard out of pallet wood and construction job site scraps, then used spar urethane over it to seal the wood from the heat. I’ll look you up on Instagram and send a pic of it! Love you both! ❤️

    That is quite the size logs that you managed to move close to the house! Congratulations on the successful moving of the logs! Better to move it as logs to the sawmill than moving the sawmill to the logs! I like the cooperation between you two as the one gives instructions, followed exactly by the second! Admirable! Now to see the large pine sawn into boards to be used to finish the interior! It will be “WOW”!

    Pulling logs how you has the potential to flip your tractor over big time. Yes you have a roll bar but you could get flipped out of the seat before you could blink. I would have got past the log and use the bucket to get the upper end on the road then pull . Alternative face down hill and lift upper end to edge of the road. Many people have been killed doing just what you are doing.
