As it was leaving the station saw the tops of the trucks going past. Loved the pullmans as well. As for the trucks absolutely fantastic. You have done us proud buddy. I did try and show as much of the layout as I could (apart from the canal but that’s been shown separately very recently). The thing which impressed me was that I had to do nothing in preparation, all the locos worked just fine even after being in their drawers for such a long time without running. I thought that I would have a few problems but no, I just sat them on the tracks and off they went! Anyway, so pleased that you got to see the Big Boy at last, I thought you would like the two hobos bumming a lift! 😂. Cheers mate. …………Graham

Only in the world of imagination do have British and American trains running on the same layout. Loved the UP Big Boy. But especially loved the Santa Fe Chief passenger train. As I mentioned I saw then in person as a young bloke in Bakersfield, Ca. My wife, Janet and her parents actually rode in one in 1963. Santa Fe brings back memories to both of us. Thank you, Graham for running her. What is there not to like here: trains, lorries on the high street, bicycles moving, working lift and scenery. Tomorrow we celebriate Thanksgiving in USA. I went to the Denver and Colorado railway museum about 4 years ago and it was superb, to actually get up close to those magnificent beasts and even go inside some of them is a memory I will hold dear to my heart for ever - what an experience that was! Being from Brighton I loved seeing the Belle getting a run out. Great meeting you at GETS, haven’t started the canal lock kit that I bought there yet. As you said it’s a lovely kit and looking forward to building it. Great video too.
Fantastic. Love the war bonnet Santa fee, with the silver buds. Have got Blue Goose with some buds. Also thank you Graham for your vids on dcc fitting Wrenn locos. Inspired me, Brought a loverly Wrenn West Country 4.6.2 southern at GETs, And following how you dcc fitted Wrenn locos , I done the same , was a tad tricky with the horizontal motor, But got it done and fitted with a HM 7000 Bluetooth sound decoder, thx

A good running session her graham, I will be honest with you I was more for the British stock personally rather than the American stock, nice seeing the deltic prototype on the layout, probably my most favourite out of the various other trains you had running in in this video, they are an excellent model, I managed to get a weathered one about a year ago for just under £200 which I think is an excellent price when you consider the cost they tend to go for second hand, keep up the great work graham.

Great video, I liked the view from the loco, it looks so real. And the hobos behind Big Boy, that must be dangerous for them with their legs hanging over the side. There has been a money splurge at Hawthorn Valley. The bean counters have finally been convinced to spend some money. They have given the purchasing department permission to purchase some new rolling stock, and they have put a track cleaning car at the top of the list. It's a Bachmann version of a British Brake Van Track Cleaning CAR - DEPARTMENTAL #LDB952490 (Electrification) with International Style Hook & Loop couplers - HO. The purchasing department scoured the "used and redundant" columns of rolling stock available in the UK. This was after a review by Jennifer Kirk. Should arrive in the next few weeks. So the President and Board hope they have made the right decision. ... Ian .....

Very atmospheric, the moving track level shots show how good your feel for getting the scene to look right is. And a superb mix of loco's, who cares where they come from, just stuff running that us non-rivet counters like to see, thanks.
Just one thing missing from all the layouts still using steam or diesel powered locos and that is a load of people in orange vests with orange paint and confetti sitting one behind each other on the track all cuffed together or stuck to the rails with glue. We wont run over them just let them sit on a cold wet miserable night in the middle of November with the steam and diesel locos and trains all sitting at a nice warm temperature and the electric trains all sitting cold and quiet for the night . Im guessing the Just stop oil would be Just let me on diesle or steam loco for some heat , lol

Lovely video with a good variety of stock for all tastes, i like the lift and train display, nice little touches that make a layout. I wonder if the cyclists were hurrying home to get on there keyboards to complain?
These pictures show just how good your model looks from all angles. One or two of the shots it was hard to tell whether the passing scenery is a model or the real thing. I was bit worried about bridge clearance from the larger American good wagons - at 4:50 it looks like a tight squeeze!

My grandson is going to love this when he sees it, speaking of my grandson 81 subscribers to his channel, I can't believe it, although I think he's secretly hoping for 100😂. This video really highlights the scope and variety of your layout to a very high degree. Loved the hobos sitting in the car hauled by the ‘Big boy’. The Santa Fe ‘War Bonnet’ is a stunner as indeed was the ‘Deltic’. Perfect sound track just adds to a great experience.

Graham i thought it was actually quite prototypical . typical for someone in toronto watching a train head out throught the Rockys, or someone in midtown USA watching BigBoy blast past full whistle then again it might have been someone on a cold dayin Durham listening to a Deltic come thundering down the East coast mainline heading to Kings Cross. All you neeed is a little imagination, Enjoyed the view from the Cab Graham . Different perspectove to the whole layout I thought .

The prototype Deltic was a pretty looking loco in that colour scheme, it’s a shame they didn’t carry it on further, you can see the American influence they were trying for though. Cheers. …………Graham
does it matter that it isnt prototypical....?? Not in the slightest. Remember, Rule 1 applies as its your model railway. I run Japanese 3ft6" DC electric locos with MK2 and MK3 coaches alongside class 90s!!!! Nice array of stock too, love the Americana at the start
It doesn’t matter at all to me and many other folk too but you will be surprised who would pick me up on that if I hadn’t mentioned it. The American steamer at the start is the Big Boy - the silver stream liner is the Santa Fe F7. Cheers. ………….Graham

Well that was sublime my friend and beautifully filmed as well. I’m glad I waited until the end to comment because I was going to ask if the cyclists were still running because I’d not seem them for a while! If it were me, I’d really annoy the nit-pickers by putting a speedboat on the canal, now that would send them into a frenzy 😂

Great video, I liked the view from the loco, it looks so real. And the hobos behind Big Boy, that must be dangerous for them with their legs hanging over the side. There has been a money splurge at Hawthorn Valley. The bean counters have finally been convinced to spend some money. They have given the purchasing department permission to purchase some new rolling stock, and they have put a track cleaning car at the top of the list. It's a Bachmann version of a British Brake Van Track Cleaning CAR - DEPARTMENTAL #LDB952490 (Electrification) with International Style Hook & Loop couplers - HO. The purchasing department scoured the "used and redundant" columns of rolling stock available in the UK. This was after a review by Jennifer Kirk. Should arrive in the next few weeks. So the President and Board hope they have made the right decision. ... Ian .....

Very atmospheric, the moving track level shots show how good your feel for getting the scene to look right is. And a superb mix of loco's, who cares where they come from, just stuff running that us non-rivet counters like to see, thanks.

Just one thing missing from all the layouts still using steam or diesel powered locos and that is a load of people in orange vests with orange paint and confetti sitting one behind each other on the track all cuffed together or stuck to the rails with glue. We wont run over them just let them sit on a cold wet miserable night in the middle of November with the steam and diesel locos and trains all sitting at a nice warm temperature and the electric trains all sitting cold and quiet for the night . Im guessing the Just stop oil would be Just let me on diesle or steam loco for some heat , lol

These pictures show just how good your model looks from all angles. One or two of the shots it was hard to tell whether the passing scenery is a model or the real thing. I was bit worried about bridge clearance from the larger American good wagons - at 4:50 it looks like a tight squeeze!

This video really highlights the scope and variety of your layout to a very high degree. Loved the hobos sitting in the car hauled by the ‘Big boy’. The Santa Fe ‘War Bonnet’ is a stunner as indeed was the ‘Deltic’. Perfect sound track just adds to a great experience.

Graham i thought it was actually quite prototypical . typical for someone in toronto watching a train head out throught the Rockys, or someone in midtown USA watching BigBoy blast past full whistle then again it might have been someone on a cold dayin Durham listening to a Deltic come thundering down the East coast mainline heading to Kings Cross. All you neeed is a little imagination, Enjoyed the view from the Cab Graham . Different perspectove to the whole layout I thought .

Running the amazing Bigboy on British track as well as the gorgeous Santa Fe train side by side with the Diesel Prototype! It's terrible, I tell you. Absolutely terrible! I cannot understand whey they changed the Deltic. I ken trying to punt it to the yanks but it looked great.
The prototype Deltic was a pretty looking loco in that colour scheme, it’s a shame they didn’t carry it on further, you can see the American influence they were trying for though. Cheers. …………Graham

does it matter that it isnt prototypical....?? Not in the slightest. Remember, Rule 1 applies as its your model railway. I run Japanese 3ft6" DC electric locos with MK2 and MK3 coaches alongside class 90s!!!!
