      I have never used a cup. But I desperately want to buy one and switch. I want to buy a lena but not sure if I should get a small or a small sensitive. I do have a low/medium cervical depending on the day of my period. I have SEVERE cramping and a small rectocele protrusion. Any advice.?

      LunetteCup hey! I needed a new cup after having my diva cup size 1 for years before giving birth. I’ve tried Lena, blossom, sckoon, and a few others. The only cup that’s worked for me now is the Lunette size 2 (as well as the Lumma unique disc size large). Love the Lunette cup! 👍🏼👍🏼

    Hey everyone! I found a Lunette Cup and the wipes at TJ Maxx on clearance!!! For $12! The original price was 16.99 what a steal considering these are $40! So next time you find yourself in one be sure to check! I had heard for a while that others had seen them there. The one I got is in size 1 and blue! :)

    I use a lunette cup (it's the only cup currently sold in Finland) and it works perfectly for me! It was my first cup and i have not stopped using it since. I actually didn't know that it originates from Finland, but that's just a bonus for me as a Finn.

      most stores that do have menstrual cups (at least near my area) only offer the diva cup. a lot of people try it, don't like it, and end up just giving up on cups. more stores need to offer a greater variety of cups so people are encouraged to switch to cups

    I swapped from a DivaCup (to long) to a Lunette several years ago, and haven't looked back. I actually just treated myself to a new purple cup since my original blue cup is looking a little faded and stained. It'll still be my backup cup, but sometimes you just like a new pretty cup!

    Last month was my first time using a cup and I used the Lena sensitive size 1. I had some leakage and it wasn't full. It was reallycomfy but I was nervous doing yoga and sleeping since it was leaking at times and wasn't sure if it was going to stay in place. Do you think the Lunette would help with the leakage and still be comfy? I appreciate the review and any commentary you may have; I could never go back to tampons even if my cup kept leaking LoL!! I’ve been using a lunette cup for about 2 years at this point (this was also the first cup I’ve ever used) and one thing I wish I knew beforehand was that, in order for it to not leak in the first few days, I had to tug on the stem a little for it to be fully sealed. I only realized this towards the end of my period 2 months ago, so before then I had to just deal with frequent leaks for the first few days of each period. Aside from that, it’s worked pretty well for me.

When I was traveling in the UK I got my period a week early on surprise and I forgot to pack my lunette (ugh!) and the only cup I could find in the Boots was the Moon cup and I didn't realize how soft other cups are! Tip from random cup using young person here; punchdown folds are your friend either way! It makes a small tip that's easier to insert comfortably and is easy to open. If you're having trouble opening it just press on the crease where the edge was pressed into the cup and it should gently pop open. Aside from being careful inserting and removing maybe go with a less firm stem if you think it may be too long, but that may not be a problem from what you said (lucky!). Hope everything works out, idk if this was helpful but it might be good for someone else. -/(^.^)\-

I tried all kinds of folds,... twisted, wriggled, rotated it but it didn't open up inside. My vagina is sore right now from all the acrobatics 😪. I really want it to work. hotwheal s We appreciate and understand that but it’s not really feasible for us to review a product after trying it for just a few days - especially if we weren’t able to nail down the usage and can speak helpfully on it - which is the case with the Nixit for me (Amanda here) We could throw something up, but I don’t feel comfortable putting something up if I don’t know I’ll feel the same after my next cycle. Sometimes products are straightforward and easy but not always.

    I’m a coral size 1 user...3 years maybe? Though I am really interested in the Saalt because it’s a tad bit shorter. Hope you feel better soon. I use these little dental brushes to clean the holes. They’re meant to go between your teeth, so they are super small to fit the holes. Also, I feel like I remember the Lena cup consulted with Bryony from Precious Stars to design the cup and her favourite cups at the time were Lunette and Si Bell, so it’s got a mix of both cups’ features.

    This may be too much TMI . But I've tried so many different types of cups and I have leaks with every single one. So my question is. I take a medication that causes major constipation. So I'm wondering could being constipated cause the cups not to sit in the correct spot or not be able to open all the way? Also one time that my cup didnt leak. It took me 30 mins to get it out because of how constipated I was it was way up there. I have a very high cervix almost 2 fingers long. So I had to wait until I had a BM before I could get it out. So have you heard of this happening. Or maybe no one talks about it because it is so personal.

      I have a low cervix too and found I always leaked with the lunette(Which i used for a decade). Theres so many New cups now you can try. Id go for something firm with a wider rim. There are also ones with sloped rims like fun cup. Slanted suction holes are also a good thing to check out. Some people swear by meluna but the tpe can be slow to open and stuff.

    Lunette size 1 was my first cup and I started to love cups after it. But it wasn't enough for me in a heavy flow day. So I tried the bigger cup by fan factory which was a disaster to open. Every time I'd go back to Lunette frustrated. And in Russia cups are not that easy to find. But now I finally got the Lunette size 2 - the one with collaboration with monki. Rare times I'm actually excited about my period so I could try it out :D

      @@WonderfullHana It's a bit firmer than size 1. And as it's a bit bigger as well, it makes it harder and I'd say a bit more painful to get in and out. But I have absolutely no problem in opening it up inside. It leaked a bit but to be fair it was after about 5 hours and my flow is quite heavy on first days. I can feel it bit right after getting it but it's not horrible and after some time I can't feel it at all. All in all, I'm satisfied with this cup and it does hold more than smaller cup. I purchased my lunette model 2 a year ago because I am 32 and have had 2 vaginal births, but I have soooooo much trouble getting it to fully unfold, it feels almost fully open, I try to push the vaginal walls and move the cup around but just can't get it to fully unfold so I'm always leaking a little bit (sometimes A LOT), I usually have a couple of spots some hours or a day before I get my full period and I would like to use my lunette since then but I CAN'T because it's just too painful to keep inside if I'm not on my period, also on my heaviest day I fill a little less than halfway in a 12 or hour period...
    In your experience does that mean it's big for me?, I noticed the model 1 is only 5mm smaller so I'm not sure about switching to that one ... do you think those 5mm will do the difference?, or is there a cup you would recommend? (I'm okay with the length and firmness of my lunette model 2)

      It has an average length body but it does have a decent stem. If your cervix is unreachable, it might not be best, but if you can reach it at all I would say it's a safe bet in terms of length

    I’ve just recently started looking into cups. I just got the lunette cup to start. I used to for one day, but it was so painful to remove I have never tried it again. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong because I have watched everyone one of your videos and have checked everything. However, it is still so incredibly painful to remove, and after the first time I can’t get it to close up again. Any advice?

    I want some advices actually I took the cup test but I am not really sure so here am I 😅 so I am an active teen ( do a lot of sport) and so the test recommended me the hello cup but after watching your review I saw that it have a lot of chances to leak because it is made of TPE and so become more oval after few uses and plus it is pretty hard to insert for a first timer which is my case. So I am wondering is the lunette one appropriate for my active and beginner self... please someone help...

    I just got the Lunette 2 and I'm experiencing some discomfort/cramping after about an hour of wear. Is this a size issue (length is fine, more concerned with width), firmness issue, or an insertion issue? Or none of the above?

    • @PutACupInIt
      @PutACupInIt  4 роки тому

      A Lunette is good based on how firm it is- as for being good for a high cervix that would depend on how high. putacupinit.com/chart has measurements for cups. Lunette is pretty average so if your cervix is very high keep that in mind. And if you try it and can't reach the cup for removal remember the bearing down trick to get it lower :)

    • @BlueLube
      @BlueLube 3 роки тому

      I'm not Kim, but I can try to help lol I have both Diva Cup and Lunette. Both size 1. Diva cup is longer than Lunette, I cut the stems off both and Diva was still too long for me. As for firmness, they are about the same. Lunette may be a bit more firm though. Diva cup has MUCH SMALLER holes for suction. I found that the Diva Cup would move around through the day, whereas Lunette stays in place with better suction.

I try bringing it down using the stem and then as soon as I try to pinch the base, it moves back up and out of the reach for my fingers to pinch it! Lunette and Saalt are very similar in firmness so I don't know that one would be easier for you to remove than the other. Did you try bearing the cup down first before pinching the base to remove so it's lower? putacupinit.com/removal

    • @PutACupInIt

      We could.. but it wouldn't be helpful, which is why we haven't. We aren't fans of it for ourselves and can't really offer anything constructive for anyone it might work better for because it's super hit or miss. For those it works for, they LOVE it, and the rest feel quite the opposite (vs most cups that are of a typical shape and will more or less fit most people but might not be their ideal cup). For reference... for me, it was much like trying to make balloon animals in my vagina. I could never get it comfortable or open and it squeaked terribly. I tried multiple times but it's a hard pass for me. It might be entertaining, but I'm not sure it would be helpful to anyone. -A

First I didn't know much about about them but thanks to your channel and some others am fully informed now.. just one thing though... I'm also super confused! I measured myself and I think I have a high cervix... According to your quiz I should look into a lily cup...but some other channels mention that even a Lunette cup and a Saalt original cup will work and fit fine... After learning more about those I'm still unable to pick one...!!! I love the shape of the lily cup, I love the colours of the Lunette and I love the feel and look of Saalt original as well. The Lily Cup is a wonderful cup for a high cervix. While the body of the Lunette and Saalt aren’t as long, the stems help give them some extra length to be able to reach. If potentially having to reach a little doesn’t nothing you, then there’s no reason not to try the one you want. Some people just aren’t comfortable with that, or have anxiety about removal

      We have this on our list and have procured some items to help us better do this, but we definitely want to do it right. For now just know there are many users with IUD's who successfully use cups, and a much smaller number that have had issues. So it's your comfort to decide if you want to try one and you would always want to break the suction when removing the cup and also always check your strings.
