2024 Kia EV6 Review | Do First Impressions Last?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- The Kia EV6 won us (mostly Jack) over when it first launched. He went head over heels for this sultry electric five-door. Now, that the model is a year or two older since its Philippine launch, we finally got a chance to review it. A lot of people seemed to like it a lot when it first landed on our shores, and so did we when we did a walkaround. Now, the real question is, "are first impressions forever?" Or was Jack a bit too excited when he first saw the car? Find out on this episode of Behind the Wheel.

Finally, this channel didn't complain and mention range anxiety like we don't live in an island. That's growth. The island of Luzon is smaller than Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysians have a better attitude towards ev. Jack's monologue would also make sense for lower range EV like atto3 and aion Y. Just do simple math. Owning ev is not complex.
I agree. Its sad that even caco who reviews evs still owns & loves his ice car
Hachoo test should be mandatory when reviewing EVs 😂
Second the motion 👍😉👍
#HAchooTestIsTheBEST 👍😉👍
@17:42 Love that Shot! 🥹👏🥂
Waiting for the Kia EV6 GT with 576 hp and Hyundai IONIQ 5 N with a ridiculous 650 hp. Those two alone (not including the Tesla Model 3 Performance) will leave any current EVs here in the PH out in the dust 💪
2025 EV6 GT will match I5N in terms of HP with fake shifting.
@@Visualhead_Spacer Yep, given the capabilites of the 5 N and the overall positive feedbacks from reviewers and owners alike, it's no surprise Kia, the other twin, wants some of the action. So the 2025 GT model will now match the current Hyundai IONIQ 5 N's power figure of 601 hp in Normal and Sport modes but keeping the 2024 GT's 545 lb-ft of torque for some reason, and the maximum 641 hp in Hyundai's N Grin Boost launch mode, along with the aforementioned simulated gear-shift.
Here for Caco 😊😊😊

I saw the EV6 while I was walking in BGC last week, same thing when I woke up in the morning in Baguio
I'd wait for the Kia EV3 in early 2025. This one is too expensive in all honesty. Although it's way smaller but the price of the EV3 and its features are decent.
I like the EV3 more than EV6 or EV9. That design and compactness is for me. Unfortunately already bought a car, still Kia. If I have waited, that would be my one of my top options.
🎉🎉🎉nice Kia!
The Android auto wireless dongle can be bought from Lazada/Shopee for 1k pesos.
Amazing af
I like that, Achhoo test😂😂😂
This is my favorite comedy/roast channel but this episode is a bit tamed in that aspect 😅 I guess HR finally decided to step in? 😂
Where is that lake that you shoot this video with
Taal
Definitely better looking than the model y.
Where is the place with sea background please?
The "achoo test" should be mandatory on all vehicle tests
"Jack's actually quite Earl Lee" sorry couldn't help it.🤣
Tesla Model Y undercuts this car by 1.2M: larger battery, higher driving range, faster charging. Kia beats the Model Y with a more conventional dash and a covered sunroof.
Money talks, people will go to Tesla. Much cheaper.
That's the theory. But for that to happen, Tesla needs to build their infrastructure here in the form of their Supercharger network. The currently-used CCS2 plugs won't cut it here as without the included DC adapter (making the plugs extra bulky in the processs), charging is understandably slow. The new NACS (by Tesla) charging plugs will eventually be the new standard for charging since US-market EVs-not just Tesla vehicles-are already transitioning to it, which should simplify the charging standards all around the world and better accommodate all EV brands into a single charging type-like USB Type-C but for cars. Plus it'll make EVs a little bit more cheaper to build and in turn, cheaper to buy. Win-win.
Teslas officially sold in the Philippines come with CCS2, NACS is only for US market vehicles so even if the superchargers are not all over the republic, they could theoretically still charge at the hundreds of charging stations in the country.
Yes, NACS is a simpler plug but CCS2 is a more widely used standard in Europe and in most parts of Asia
@@cartmatt3068 Here's the thing: across the industry, many car manufacturers are already phasing out the CCS-type charging standard, now favoring the newer and established Tesla-developed NACS. Only a matter of time before major cities and countries will (and should) adopt this new charging standard, because no car manufacturer in their right minds will stick to the old CCS2 that everyone knows is on life support, and any country that does will definitely be left out (looking at you Europe).
Facelifted models like the 2025 Kia EV6 are already being fitted with an NACS-style port instead of a CCS port for this very reason, and future EV models will follow suit. It will not be only relegated to the US, with Tesla's goal of selling their cars worldwide it is bound to happen everywhere, even in china. The CCS-type standard is now a bulky, unreliable and outdated tech, even user experiences are disappointing to say the least. Just like microUSB (oh don't get me started on that).

I think there’s a face lifted version of the EV 6 already. We all need to consider that this car is so much more expensive then the Model Y although the Juniper refresh is yet to launch. What is the case for buying the EV6? I really don’t see a reason anyone would buy this car. The BMW IX3 is only a few hundred thousand more. The German car makers marked down their EVs here. Lexus RZ 450 is 2m less now but that’s the worst luxury EV on the market.
JAC Ytterby pro is claimed to have 505km. I wonder if it can offer similar levels of peace of mind.
Bat Ngayon lang 😁
How much electricity cost compared to gas?
Half if you charge it at home, free if you charge at SM but slow
With the rough comparison of
1kwh=10km
To
1L=10km
Its a easily P12/kwh vs P60/L
PIANO BLACKS!
Specifically on high touch areas,.Are really a dippy down downer besides giving the car an elegant and classy look
In really can be downer,. Since every minute and every hour your going to clean it to bring back the beauty of the car
But in some areas like the windows,. It's just right since you wont have to worry that much on always cleaning it
So yeah,.That would be my downer and cons for this cool and classy elegant car 👍😉👍
Did anyone check or test if the remote forward/reverse feature is available?
The EV6 GT-Line comes standard with the Remote Smart Parking Assist feature.
What's with the clanking sounds, like some glass bashing around the car and such.
tbh it doesn't make sense reviewing 2024 when the refreshed 2025 is already out... or.. u could have reviewed the GT version.
It is the GT version. Did you even watch the video? And how could they review the 2025 version when it’s not available in the country?
The EV6 GT is not yet released locally, this is just the GT-Line essentially the mid-grade variant. Also, our market usually is delayed by months or even half a year before the facelifted version gets released. Nothing we can do about that.
I'll wait for 2025....... Achoo!
Only applicable in metro manila 🤷
Sana manalo ako sa raffle ng mega mall kasi yan yung grand prize nila 😁🙏
Color
They should price match the Tesla model y
Once Tesla EVs are becoming a threat, these will follow suit in terms of pricing.
Howmuch
So the tesla model 3 performance is cheaper? 💀
The M3P and all other Tesla models will be cheaper. Tesla deliberately undercuts most EV options here in our market to set an example that full EVs can be affordable, which is a good thing for us consumers. Now we just need more Tesla Superchargers...
Better to charge at home. Superchargers will cost a lot more. Superchargers are for the provinces assuming you’re based in Manila.
Some Kia and Hyundai batteries fail in a year
1st
Tesla for the win’ way better price and looks better than this
kalokohan presho
BYD tang is better and less expensive
The Tang does not even compare. It's like Nescafe vs. Kopi Juan (the really cheapo ones you get from Dali that tastes half the original). You get what you pay for: half the taste, half the performance.

We dont really care even if your Buy Your Doom is Free..
No, their battery is obsolete that's why its cheap, wait for them to release solid state battery
you get what u pay for, cheap china quality.
