This model may come in several different size floor plans, kinda like BonnaVilla Casita Series which this unit resembles although I haven't seen a 2-wide Casita yet. Just think these units are stick built indoors using computerized laser precision - square corners/plumb walls... not out in the sun, rain, wind, mud, insects and allergens of a home built on site over the course of a year or more. This is the way all homes should be built... 8-5 full time employees with benefits warm in the winter/cool in summer using inline building/fabrication techniques.
That is the secret to good smaller home design. I live in an 864 sq. ft. home, it’s 24 x 36 and has a vestibule area that opens up to two bedrooms, the bathroom, the water heater closet, and a regular closet. For the most part it gives a little more privacy to those rooms without using much square footage.
Kerry, what a beautiful home. That layout gives you the option to be social or retreat to your bedroom for some privacy. The side entrance is ideal because it gives you a spot to take off your shoes store them. I love your videos, so informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work!
I stumbled on Champion over the last year and glad you're showcasing them as something to consider. They seem to have some interesting, well-designed and executed offerings. I noticed manufacturers like Champion make both modular and manufactured homes. And most companies in this space appear to offer a lot of options related to customizations, so if folks were balking at the price, this is likely an optioned out version of the model; from what I've seen most models typically have a $50-75K range depending on options.
I've looked at Champion in the past when trying to decide what I like and can afford. I will say to me, they are one of the best options out there. Most homes I find are either smaller than I want or way outpaced for what I'm trying to do. I live in FL and usually what I find in homes at the sq ft I like, I can buy a new build in a developement with a postage stamp yard for what the 1609+ sq ft mods go for, for just the home. But that's not the situation with what I've seen with Champion.
Anyone in/near Southern California: see on the map at 0:40 the location in the lower left-San Jacinto, CA-that location offers free facility tours once per month. I took the tour there recently and was impressed with how they direct visitors through an overview of the general building process, step by step, from beginning to end, so you can see actual product in the midst of their various stages, and the host was gracious at answering our myriad questions along the way. After the factory tour, we also got to also tour several models of finished product there on the lot. The tour lasts about an hour to an hour and a half. Just call ahead to reserve a spot.
Wow, what a beautiful home! Could you please discuss the differences between modular and manufactured homes in terms of installation, taxes, site prep, deeding, and financing? Many thanks!
I don't consider it a deal. Sure, it might be affordable to some, but in Florida it's not competitive with some new construction houses. I can have a steel building constructed, and permitted, along with furnished for cheaper. Plus, for that price, it would be bigger. A lot bigger.
Love the layout. It shows a lot of thought to current needs. Importantly, the mud room is hidden. That storage space on the other side of the island is perfect for a home bar.
That serving counter in the kitchen, which we used to call a buffet, that thing is awesome. If you cook much, and you have company, you know how needed this is.
I’m sure it would’ve been a few years ago.. I periodically get pricing for various modular homes and things have near doubled from 5 years ago. Sad times
In response to someone that commented that it was way too expensive, I guess it depends where you live because I’m househunting in the Boston area and you can’t touch a three bedroom two bath house for under 600k. So we decided to expand our search to include land so we could build a house on it and this one looks great.
$250K is pretty darn good up here ... maybe not around the country ... Standard Layout for a century here in Boston (30ft x 60ft) and quite efficient layout.
Champion Home Builders lived up to their name with this one. The Canyon is a beautiful, perfectly laid out home deserving of its company name. 🏆 The flooring is also worth mentioning, as well as the second bathroom. Plus it is so spacious, it blows my mind that this is a prefab home. 🤯 As for the office space, I’d ditch the shelves and cabinets but keep the desk. It would be about the size of my current home music studio space. So it would work. 🎧 The living room looks very spacious. Maybe more than any prefab home featured on your channel in recent memory. This home seems to have every kind of guest hosting covered. I can only imagine the parties I could have in this house. 🥳 The bonus for me is this design would fit the narrow properties here my area. 🗽 Awesome walkthrough Kerry. This update rocks! Until the next one. 😎
Greetings Kerry!!! I absolutely love this home!!!! I would definitely buy this home; they have thought of everything. The kitchen is perfect, I have a galley kitchen but theirs is even more spacious and well planned. This is my favorite by far of all of the homes that you have posted. Thank you for sharing this and your awesome humor!!! Thanks for the reminder, it is Friday, frozen 🍕🍕 night. Enjoy your day and weekend and keeping on rocking your channel is the BEST!!!! Be well everyone!
I have been watching your videos. You only tell the price of the fab homes. You never tell the installation fees and delivery fees. These fees could be a big price to most low income people. Please do some research and let us know the approximation of these prices. Thank you.
I also like that the office is adjacent to an entrance, so for the work at home person, work guests don't have to walk thru the house to meet with you!
I find you so entertaining, Kerry. I love the variety of home designs you manage to find in this seemingly cookie cutter industry. This model seemed very inviting indeed. An aspirational home, I would say, though very reasonably priced for what it offers. Cheers!
LOVE the landing zone!!!! LOVE the family-friendly size! LOVE the usable & petite office! Personally, I prefer slightly divided living spaces. I’m tired of the open concept floor plan. I don’t want to see my messy kitchen when I’m in the living room.
THANK YOU! Good size & decent price! Now it's not perfect for me, but it's very close. I want a more open floor space for the living area and a FREE STANDING TUB! Don't say it doesn't exist - Champion makes the Lu La Rue (or something like that) but doesn't sell or ship that model to Washington State. But I'm def a part of the "bigger homes please" group - and it's fabulous this comes in under $300! Excellent!
Where can I find info on upcoming modular/mobile/tiny home expos across the US? Google not turning up much for me and would be nice to see some in person as you do.
Kerry, the house is very beautiful, the only thing I don't like is that installation of the air conditioning duct in the floor, I hate that!!! Thanks a lot. Hugs from Miami Fl❤🇩🇴❤️
Love your commentary! 🤣 thanks for the actual on site tour! this REALLY helps bring the value, quality, and practicality of a prefab home to life vs just thinking it's another "mobile" home..which it's not.

Like the modern look. It just brings style! Smart flow of the home. Living on one side and bedroom and bathroom, utility room on the other. Genius. As far as the off space goes. I would put two desks., maybe more shelves on the wall. Overall great home with great flow and Awesome vibes. Thanks Kerry!
This is a great layout, Kerry! Reasonable pricing for something like this, too. If I was to improve on the design, it would be to have the living space across from the kitchen instead of in a railroad design, but I quite confident that would not work structurally along the center line with the modular configuration. Thanks as always!
Great tour Terry! Loved the talk. The home is beautiful and the kitchen was very nice. Loved the pro-cess. I will now pra-cess it all. Lol😊. You are a fantastic tour guide and I do enjoy your channel.
I love this floor plan! As a home chef who loves to cook, this is a great layout. I want to start my own UA-cam cooking channel and could do this in this house. I currently live in a 7 bed, 4 bath home, and this model would meet my needs more than what I have now. It is just my husband and I in this house, and it is way too big. I've been looking at downsizing but didn't want to compromise on kitchen and pantry space. I would use that office space as half office, half pantry. I have way more kitchen gadgets than anyone should ever have. That, however, is my joy, and I can think of a lot more expensive and less useful hobbies than mine.
Since I discovered Champion Homes i think they make the nicest looking ones out of all the home manufacturers. I fell in love with their Odyssey Line & this is one is really nice too! Hopefully one day I can afford one!
Closet access thru the en suite is perfect, but for couples with different sleep schedules, I would sacrifice the water closet (throne room)- making it a hallway to the bedroom and bathroom (and closet). Having access the the master bath and closet without waking my partner is GREAT! And there is plenty of room for the commode next to the shower.
Home tour was great. This is right up my vision of my retirement... thanks for calling me an active senior! We can talk about that later. I have a bunch of friends that will argue with you that I might excel as a couch potato. But Kerry, I'm wondering whhat on earth are you talking about when you are sleeping? This could be a whole new pod cast or something!!!!
Given the lack of stairs, the "office" would be the Harry Potter room. It is that small. I can't imagine anyone not making that a pantry. If it were my office, I'd be wondering what I did to put in a prison cell.
A balanced quality and price offer, spacious enough for s family. I would need bigger office area even in the expense of kitchen and pal colours for the kitchen and energy autonomy.
This is well laid out. The split design of living vs sleeping and the split design of owner's suite vs guest bedrooms, hall bath and laundry show that someone put some thought into this design. The "office" doesn't really appeal to me. I would probably use the front bedroom as an office. I don't like feeling as if I'm in a small, closed space so, that office would not work for a claustrophobic me. However. I don't know how I would use it. Possibly a pantry with counters to set small appliances on or, maybe, do away with it entirely creating a bigger dining room for entertaining. I like the two porches and the side entry would also get the most use from me as I would build a 2-car carport there for outdoor entertaining in the shade with easy access to the kitchen. Thanks,
Thanks for sharing if you could mention outside faucets like you did the electricity outlets it would be great because anything I hate is to walk from one side and have to put your cord underneath the home to get to the other side for a hose
Two porches, nice big kitchen, small home office and a large enough master bedroom.
It seems like they thought of everything on this one !!! 👍

I really like the modern look of both the exterior and interior of this home.
Bigger and more expensive than My personal needs, but love the layout for a family. So organized. And a really good price for that size. Impressive.

He said it STARTS at 245k. Not that the one your looking at is that price
I agree. Easier to buy a small house is disrepair and fix it.
In central & southern US (not Florida) there's lots of nice brick homes with yard etc ready to move in for under $200,000
I love this as shown only I wouldn’t like a boring version of it Kerry. Love love this home
