I would love to give a special shoutout to the Exhaust Phial in Sunbreak. The one Gold SA with exhaust has been a great comfort weapon. Gets Purple w/ handicraft, good raw at 340, exhaust is quick to ramp up the gauge, three 1 slots allow for full stamina drain decos to achieve 50 exhaust, Lv3 Rampage Deco, plus some bonus 30 defense. I’ve been able to get reliable KOs and a lot of flinches. Exhaust finally feels less gimmicky and more a contender with Power and Elemental.
Its called Reconqueres and its my favorite swagx. I've beat the whole game with this weapon tree and just like you said its super comfy and fun to pull of KO and watch the monster slow down and stop to catch a breath giving you more windows to deal damage. Maybe its not meta but for me its the best
As someone who's been playing SA since it's debut in tri, I completely agree with you. So mobile and smooth, aggressive and powerful, really love how it is now.
It's my 3rd main weapon so far. 1st being hammer and second dual blades. I love it but it's frustrating because I don't have the combos or timing down yet.
I feel like it's also worth mentioning that the Swap Skill now also re-validates Invincible Gambit. A great move that is now better and usable more often.
Tbh I love the swaxe the most, but the dlc feels very experimental with the new mechanics introduced, but worry that a lot of the new features present in this game won't make a return in later entries. Here's to hoping 😊
As a little tip to complement the video, u can switch to sword mode with the 2 staged switch move, even if the recharge of the gauge of that particular move doesn't reach the sword threshold of the gauge, for example, if the gauge is completely depleted, the 2 staged switch will enter sword mode even if the gauge is purple
100% agree, this really is the best the Swaxe has been. I've got about 1400-1500hrs with the Swaxe going back to MH3, and while old faithful has always been my go to, the evolution of the weapon in Sunbreak just makes everything feel so smooth now. Plus it's just fun as hell to run high elemental builds now too. Swag Axe 4 life!
Disclaimer: I'm on PC, so I only started with World. I tried to get on with Switch Axe and Insect Glaive multiple times in MH:World, but I ultimately failed each time. IIRC, SA only had one move that increased amped state significantly - a super-slow move (that you needed to go through another not-short move to get to), no good way to increase sword meter, and no good defensive options (which became more and more necessary as the game went on - for me, anyway). This meant I'd frequently spend most of the sword meter getting into amped state, and having to spend a good chunk of amped state in axe mode, waiting for the sword meter to build up again. If I didn't simply faint, due to said lack of defensive options. Meanwhile, the Insect Glaive, I just got bored of the constant maintenance of buffs. There was, IIRC, only a single way to get each buff-kinsect goes out, touches relevant part of monster, returns. 3 times, every few minutes. It wore thin fast, moreso against fast-moving monsters. However, in Sunbreak, both weapons feel 'complete' to me, for the first time. Switch axe has a skill-based defensive option, they have 2 more moves which improve amped state (2-stage attack and the counter), and a move that increases sword gauge (2-stage attack). And Insect Glaive has many more attacks which let you extract from the monsters yourself, rather than sending out a kinsect, keeping you engaged with the fight, rather than having to retreat to get a good angle to send the kinsect in on (and feeling largely useless until you get your red buff back). We'll see how I feel as Sunbreak plays out, but for now, I'm *really* happy with how those two weapons are right now, and I hope that the 'complete' feeling is continued in the next game.
I think the balance changes in Rise almost made the weapon perfect. I haven't gotten to the counter yet in SB, but 2-stage and the new swap evade makes natural loading and movement feel great. Glaive has straight-up become a perfect weapon in Sunbreak. I already loved the kinsect changes in Rise, but the new skills are all exactly what I have wanted from Glaive since I first tried the weapon out on World: an aerial style that emphasizes speed, precision, and builds your extracts, and a way to use extracts outside of just the buffs. On top of that, the greater variety of abilities the kinsects themselves have makes the build potential so much greater. It's my favourite weapon right now.
Redirection + Evade Extender is absolutely wild, especially on Swaxe. If a monster does one of many running charges at you when your bugs are on cooldown and you time the switch right, you can evade backwards and land right at the endpoint of the charge, and just start wailing on it. Or if it's something like Diablos or Espinas that do multiple charges, you start with Redirection, get your bugs back, and wait for the second charge with the counter. Evade Extender was always mandatory for me on Swaxe, so Redirection feels what I've always been waiting for, just like the Elemental Burst Counter.
I am yet to try Redirection at all , but this makes me really wanna try it. Evade Extender lvl 2 is also crucial for me & my swagxe , definitely gonna give this a try!

I loved playing Exhaust Swaxe in Worlds and also loved my Zero Sum Discharge Spam Build in Iceborne. When RIse came out I tried Swaxe and didn't get too far with it and ended up going back to my first love from Worlds, the Insect Glaive. Being able to Dragoon Drop onto a monster felt like Aerial Glaive was finally a thing. I played mostly IG in Sunbreak and Aerial still feels good, but I've also tried Swaxe again and that counter is fun as hell. I still want to try a powder Kinsect Build but for now the Swaxe is fun as hell.
Powder Vortex is amazing, makes Awakened Kinsect attack so fun (and being able to choose between Drop and Kinsect gives you Aerial and modest ranged options). Don't forget that you can cancel your Vortex by recalling your Kinsect if the monster buggers off.
if they do keep the switch skill thing in future game, i do hope they plan it out a bit more, some skills really benefit a different playstyle but some just feel so pointless you may as well put the same skills in both scrolls.
Will be interesting to see which of the new moves carry over. I can definitely see 2-stage in the next game, as well as Soaring Wyvern Blade. As for the counter, it would be interesting to see how the design it without the wirebugs
probably nerf the payoff of landing it like not making it do so much damage and not getting you into amped state, maybe it would fill half your armped state instead
@@nrshocks6931 or maybe have it drain the sword meter at twice the rate or smth so it has a much narrower window to use it in? If they don’t have the wirebug move to refill the sword gauge super easily then that could make it a lot more risky and less spamable
@@scull7310 i dont use the refill move anyways ,2 stage morph slash combo lets you attack as much as you want anyways. and if it drains at twice thr rate it makes the counter kinda useless because its already hard to use because its so slow you can only use it preemptively.
To be fair I think it would be easier to design the counter without wirebugs than soaring wyvern(visually speaking) but I get what you mean bc there are strong silkbind moves that I really hope move forward into future titles but would have to be reworked somewhat without wirebug cooldowns. Ready stance on charge blade is another one that animation-wise would be easy to keep for future games but would need a balancing measure without wirebug cooldowns.
I started with world as a insect glaive main. When i got bored i played around switch axe. When rise came i decided to main the weapon and haven't turned back. With sun break I'm still learn the counter but it's really rewarding to pull off
I love the Glance but most of the end game weapons are subpar, it’s so frustrating to like a lot of the designs only to unlock the final tier and realise it’s only for shelling lvl 6 or 7
Dude for real. It's so limiting when it comes to shelling levels. It's like there's no real reason to use most of the weapons because higher shelling level is everything.
I don't main switch axe. Never played it in HR. Needed to hunt Goss for some mats so I googled a fire build for swaxe as I wanted to try a new weapon. Was surprised to see how fast Goss is already limping and close to death. It does a lot of consistent damage and is fun too!
I got introduced to this series with world on PS4 and as I was just trying out all the weapons in the training area like how my friend told me. I found it, my love, my obsession, my darling switch axe. I was bad at the beginning of the game and thorought all of the game until I finally got good at the guiding lands and then the combat finally clicked to me, the combos the decorations, the builds, the utilization of the environment. (And thanks to our dear friend alatreon who gave me PTSD) clear understanding of elemental weaknesses (and thanks to that bastard I now obsessively get a weapon of each element to match the weakness of each monster) and it got to me that SwagAxe is amazing at dealing elemental and ailment damage and I've also learned to properly utilize the sword mode. I've created a new character to try new weapons but I fell back to my baby, I absolutely love the switch axe so I can't wait for sunrise to drop on PS4. I will. Sell my liver to play the new SwagAxe, I need to be the swaggiest of the swaxes, I need my swaxe
Been playing the shit out of world. Out of all the weapons I’ve played with. The switch axe is the one weapon that allows me to go toe to toe with arch tempered Velkhanna. So imma stick with the Swaxe for rise as well. Rise coming to Xbox BABY!
Sunbreak's Switch Axe won me over in the expansion. I only gave it a little bit of my attention in the base game, but now... it's quickly becoming my new main.
I was already liking the rise change of adding amp damage to axe mode to change up the play style, but the 2-stage gives us a good way to get get gauge and amp, and wire step and the counter have finally given us some defensive options. There's a reason I almost always see a second SA in my hunts, it's a damn powerful weapon in Rise.
I dunno In mh4 you had skills that let you stay in sword mode literally constantly and you could spam the charge so ridiculously you peeled monsters apart. Bit that depends if you mean it's better by things you can do or just the amount of damage you can dump into a monster. But I totally agree with that its more fun than it's ever been. Going back an forth from axe to sword with both styles being viable instead of sword being just better is so much more fun.
No kidding I mained Glaive in World but now I don't even touch it in Rise bc it's uncontrollable for me. To many tricks to it. It's only good for taking on monsters like Ibushi who are stupidly big.
I started a new playthrough where i played with only the CB. It had me wishing for a switch skill that would make sword mode more viable. I dont think the weapon needs it but i think the more play styles - the better
3:45 Uh. Using the Magmadron Axe against Blood Orange Bishaten is certainly a... choice, given that it takes absolutely no damage from fire element. But yes, as someone who has mained SA since Tri, I do think it's the best it has ever felt. Though, not owing ALL of that to Sunbreak. The new counter is indeed a great tool, and the 2-Staged Morph Slash Combo pretty much amplifies SA's glow up that the base game gave it. Base Rise did a fantastic job at making morph attacks the best source of grounded combo damage (RM+Double Morph Slash loop), strengthening the weapon's identity as, well, the SWITCH Axe. As much as I love Gen and GU, the Demon Riot+Energy Charge combo pummeled axe mode so far into the dirt that not even Tempest Axe was nearly enough to save it. It never felt like a complete weapon playing to its own theme during that time.
Ive played Gunlance for most of the game up until the start of high rank where the Swaxe got my attention, and by god is it amazing. Recently got into sunbreak and its been my main weapon since this thing has moves like no other. Probably gonna main it from the start in wilds too
I'm new to the series. Picked up World a month or two ago then grabbed Rise on sale and I've been hooked ever since. I found myself preferring Hunting Horn in both. I'm curious. Veterans of the series: what are some weapons from older games you'd like to see return to the next game? And going off that, do they ever add new weapons to the current game? With all the ninja themes in Rise I was surprised they didn't add giant shurikens or fans as weapons.
Hell yeah hunting horn mains rise up :D They do add new weapons from time to time, and hardly ever take them away (iirc the last time they did was for tri and they brought them back for 3U? Could be wrong on the specific games tho), but whenever they add a new weapon class it’s kinda a big deal so I’m not surprised they didn’t add one with rise lol, there are some dual blades that look like fans tho which are cool!!
Rise made me a jack of a bunch of the weapons. Started playing in world with IG then CB and didn't use anything else. In rise I started with CB and decided to learn new weapons and used swaxe for probably 80% of the base game (Conqueress gang) then I started playing the bow which is now my favorite tired with the swaxe
It would be sick if the wire bug cost for EBC was removed. Maybe nerf the damage so its not too op. That way it doesn’t feel like you’re getting punished when a monster targets your follower while you eat your sword gauge and wire bugs
Used to play SwAxe mainly in MHW with mouse and keyboard. But wasn't comfy using it with a DS4 controller in MHR as I didn't wanted to go through config for and reassign keys for not having a mouse with side buttons. But after I went to play as hammer until I got at Teostra when a friend gave me advise to try dual blades based on myself using physical ranged DPS most of the time in ffxiv due to their mobility.
Im my top three Swaxes goes as follows 1. Frontier god Axe (literally a light saber) 2. Rise swagaxe (super fun especially with quick switch) 3. World Switch axe. (its base but still fun to play)
While I love the new changes to lance in the form of shield tackle and skyward thrusts, a part of me wishes that we got an exclusive rampage decoration that temporarily boosted either attack or affinity after a successful counter. It would make the defensive lace style more viable and if it stacked with anchor rage buffs or offensive guard, then even better.
Just tried out MHW, Switch Axe caught my eye in day one and literally never changes it till today, still my main weapon and still dealing great dmg too! . I literally still using Switch Axe in MHR lmao, best weapon IMO
I love the well-rounded build of the Drache swaxe so much I used 4 augmentation slots to bump it up to a level 3 Rampage deco slot just for Switcher. My DPS is so much better now!
I absolutely live the SwAxe and it was the first weapon I picked up in rise but I've started to use bow and fell in love with the play style. Don't get me wrong thou, SwAxe is still the best melee weapon by far
Even i do love the new counter on sa, gs and counter peak performance on cb , i truly wish it stays only in sunbreak and not go to main line. I love the clunky weapons where positioning matter most and with all the counters they started to feel more spammy than ever.
@@TonyJenn All of these things are linked to Wirebugs. Wirebugs are Rise's gimmick, just how the slinger was for World. They'll likely integrate one or two things into the movesets, but we'll lose a lot of things in the next game just by the nature of a new gimmick.
@@ArcticWolfGod not really, same people work on both team, also mainline never had a counter weapon before mhw, for example the ls foresight is a easier derivative of mhxx valor parry of ls. So don't count on the difference of style between two team too much
I've been trying to get int SA since Tri but i keep finding myself going back to DBs after like 3 hunts😭😭😭 Its sooooo different but hard for me to adjust too
Switch axe is a lot of fun in Sunbreak! Too bad the counter system is costly compared to other weapons eg charge blade CPP etc Slow to initiate and execute, cost two bugs , only front direction , eats sword gauge etc however it’s a good start for SA future though 👍🏻
I feel like if they let you initiate the counter before you get in the stance, but it did way less damage and less gauge charge, it would be perfect. Then it could functionally be a counter, while still rewarding foresight.
Switch axe is very fun to use and it's beautiful shiny bayblade. The team: "Let loose" Me: *Super excited to see everyone combo on the boss and I spin spin attack* Its a firework
i kinda feel the part where Paradise said that he ended up maining other weapons before sunbreak switch axe, had the same thing with hammer, since 4U i have been playing hammer 24/7 but during sunbreak i just felt like I'm being bored, even though it is fun, courage hammer is very fun to play but i wish there was just something else, I can't point to what i want but just something more idk if anyone else is feeling this wjth their main/hammer but i just don't feel it now, i did play hammer during the endgame, i still preform the best with it but it's just getting old? or something does anyone get this?
Is it the impact of hits/feeling of the weapon perhaps? Rise has been really bad in that regard, especially as follow-up to World. While Hammer has clawed its way back to my top 5 weapons with how fun Courage can be, it's just not the same as it used to be.
@@ArcticWolfGod yo, had that too...but i kinda felt that it's a bit different and that's really it, i remember at first struggling with this feeling of impact but that was easy to get used to and I'm thinking about it, maybe I'm not learning the weapon like i feel that there is something else but I've already tried every skill, made a lot of builds (mostly to focus on new skills chain crit, blood rite, furious) I'm just not feeling it for some reason...i play other weapons (a lil bit) but it's like I'm sitting in a wooden chair, it's old, trustable and I'm just used to it but like playing the CB is like the new massage chair i would be sad to put thr hammer down :(
anyone else feel like CB needs an alternative to SAED? CSS replaces CES, RS -> CPP, i feel like CB need another way to expand all phials at once... im coming for a multiplayer point of view, cause my up time on monsters when im running a strictly SAED is abysmal compared to CSS when there are range weapons players
IG is the most fun weapon in the game by far but the damage feels quite lackluster compared to some others. Particularly diving wyvern is absolutely horrendous in rise in general. You basically have to "charge" diving wyvern by performing specific air actions 3 times (simplified - use right click attacks in air 3 times), then it has the absolute worst hitbox ever - you can legit miss a downed anja head because of how he wiggles his head back and forth - its that precise, you cant look straight down either btw and to top it all off, even if you manage to charge your diving wyvern to 3, you hit the head with a not so fast recovering silkbind attack then your payoff is terribad! You can crit for slightly above 1K damage AT BEST. Ohh did i also mention that you cant have your kinsect out while in the air? So, no powder, and no free damage outside of assist (which btw barely makes your air actions dps efficient). To top it all off only 1 specific type of kinsect actually combos with you during wyvern dive (around 150 damage on full charge) so you cant even get free choice of kinsect. There are much better ways to play the weapon in general but jesus christ they really made diving wyvern terrible in this iteration.
You are right about it being a fun weapon on the technical side. However, even with Zero Sum Discharge, I feel it is missing the boom ability. Even Insect Glaive has one now with the Yeet the Bug ability.
.....Okay, a couple things: 1. How is the Zero Sum Discharge not a "boom" ability? You literally rocket off the monster after mauling it's body with a massive weapon like a chainsaw 2. Awakened Kinsect isn't really a Boom ability. It's basically Extract Hunter, but it uses your Kinsect buffs instead of helping you get all of them with an extra hookshot. Doesn't sound like a "boom" ability to me.
I really loved both the Shield and Sword and the Great Sword, in fact, I played the most hours in those weapons. Shield and Sword is fast, but it has "okay" damage. Great Sword is devastating, but it is too slow. That's when I tried the Switch Axe, it's quite fast (slower than SnS), and quite packs a punch (weaker than GS). It just hits the sweet spot. Oh and that special drill attack is just brutal. I am now a Switch Axe main and I'm loving it.
I play aerial too :) Do you have a nice build to share? I just started Sunbreak as it released a few weeks on Playstation, and i started by playing lbg:)
I have loves switch axe since I started in Generations. I honestly hate the counter. It is just too easy to enter the amped state, I just counter for easy dps, giving me no reason to try other weapons. I have the same problem with longsword. Swaxe just kills everything and can counter almost everything. My perfect MH game would be a game where all the weapons have a unique weakness that pushes trying all the weapons. Learning how to play around the limited mobility weakness is what I love about switch axe. Seeing Power Phials take over the meta yet again is also a huge negative for me.
I'm the opposite. I want to master Swax for a long time but I never did until this counter exist. It"s alway like this. I know monsters about to attack but have to take the hit because tiny hop and roll suck for dodge things or use EE to roll out of the way and roll in to attack. I can't ifram with this weapon. Now counter exist. When I know monster about to attack I prepare to counter. No more roll or hop and still get hit because I'm not a superman to dodge 100% with 10 frame.

Been playing the shit out of world. Out of all the weapons I’ve played with. The switch axe is the one weapon that allows me to go toe to toe with arch tempered Velkhanna.
So imma stick with the Swaxe for rise as well.
Rise coming to Xbox BABY!
i wish they kept some of the axe mode buffs from IB. axe mode is so fun imo :
Sunbreak's Switch Axe won me over in the expansion. I only gave it a little bit of my attention in the base game, but now... it's quickly becoming my new main.
Thanks for the video, I had a hard time learning this weapon, since my favorites are greatsword and dual blades.
I dunno
In mh4 you had skills that let you stay in sword mode literally constantly and you could spam the charge so ridiculously you peeled monsters apart.
Bit that depends if you mean it's better by things you can do or just the amount of damage you can dump into a monster.
But I totally agree with that its more fun than it's ever been.
Going back an forth from axe to sword with both styles being viable instead of sword being just better is so much more fun.
The soaring soaring blade does what!!!! I’ve done all of my anomy hunts with switch axe and never knew this
Aye another video with swaggaxe absolutely 💯 👌🏽
Thanks for the video. I was struggling to understand how the counter worked just from the description in game. Cheers!
I wish they gave glaive a proper meta aerial playstyle
No kidding I mained Glaive in World but now I don't even touch it in Rise bc it's uncontrollable for me. To many tricks to it. It's only good for taking on monsters like Ibushi who are stupidly big.
I started a new playthrough where i played with only the CB. It had me wishing for a switch skill that would make sword mode more viable.
I dont think the weapon needs it but i think the more play styles - the better
Having 3 wirebugs and chaining counters with Swaxe is so ridiculously satisfying.
It never felt like a complete weapon playing to its own theme during that time.
fight fire with fire! a giant axe helps too
Ive played Gunlance for most of the game up until the start of high rank where the Swaxe got my attention, and by god is it amazing. Recently got into sunbreak and its been my main weapon since this thing has moves like no other. Probably gonna main it from the start in wilds too
Everybody sleeping on the evade move, thing has crazy i-frames.
its really great, but it can also lead to death in some cases beacuse of its super long animation
Please continue the weapon workshop series for Rise and Sunbreak. Thanks! 😊
Switch Axe was my main before the charge blade was introduced in 4 Ultimate. I may need to try it out again
Absolutely trying this counter out when I play tomorrow!
Could be wrong on the specific games tho), but whenever they add a new weapon class it’s kinda a big deal so I’m not surprised they didn’t add one with rise lol, there are some dual blades that look like fans tho which are cool!!
i strongly agree. i absolutely love the switch axe in this game, it feels so damn good
my favourite is the dual blades and i don't have sunbreak yet do you think I should get it
IG! Very dynamic and fun to play. Access somehow to in-air hyper armour would be sweet, or a way to latch onto the monster a la ZSD.
Just started playing Rise, dping switch axe and loving it
Rise made me a jack of a bunch of the weapons.
This really makes me wanna try out the switch axe
Im my top three Swaxes goes as follows
1. Frontier god Axe (literally a light saber)
2. Rise swagaxe (super fun especially with quick switch)
My older brother got me into using the switch axe which is OP in sunbreak
Yea been a fan of the switch axe since frontier and I've never looked back
Redirection and the Rampage Switcher Jewel are also amazing adds, but sadly mean that I never want to play with a SWaxe without a lvl 3 Rampage Slot.
They won't go backwards. Too many people like the additions to combat
@@TonyJenn Yeah everone loved using the hunting styles and super moves in World... oh wait.
2 different teams, 2 different styles.
@@TonyJenn All of these things are linked to Wirebugs. Wirebugs are Rise's gimmick, just how the slinger was for World.
They'll likely integrate one or two things into the movesets, but we'll lose a lot of things in the next game just by the nature of a new gimmick.
@@rhettbutler5397 World is still Capcom's best selling title of all time. If they look at anything for inspiration, it'll be that.
@@ArcticWolfGod not really, same people work on both team, also mainline never had a counter weapon before mhw, for example the ls foresight is a easier derivative of mhxx valor parry of ls. So don't count on the difference of style between two team too much
I Can't wait see a Build for Switch axe
Long Sword is my Main since Freedom Unite
Switch Axe is my 2nd Main
I've been trying to get int SA since Tri but i keep finding myself going back to DBs after like 3 hunts😭😭😭
Its sooooo different but hard for me to adjust too
As a Lance main I think it requires more attention from the developers.
0:18 WTH what hunter art is that
I need a more detailed tutorial of the switch axe moves. I've been using longsword cause I felt the switch axe confusing. Switch axe is my favorite
how do you display the available moves you can do ? like in world , i dont have that in mine
Wheres the (rise) switchaxe weapon tutorial? I cant find it.
The team:
"Let loose"
Me:
*Super excited to see everyone combo on the boss and I spin spin attack*
Its a firework
Finely!!!! Someone who agrees that the switch axe is awesome
Gunlance, needs nothing. Love the addition of bullet barrage. Can solo primordial.
i kinda feel the part where Paradise said that he ended up maining other weapons before sunbreak switch axe, had the same thing with hammer, since 4U i have been playing hammer 24/7 but during sunbreak i just felt like I'm being bored, even though it is fun, courage hammer is very fun to play but i wish there was just something else, I can't point to what i want but just something more
idk if anyone else is feeling this wjth their main/hammer but i just don't feel it now, i did play hammer during the endgame, i still preform the best with it but it's just getting old? or something
does anyone get this?
Is it the impact of hits/feeling of the weapon perhaps? Rise has been really bad in that regard, especially as follow-up to World.
While Hammer has clawed its way back to my top 5 weapons with how fun Courage can be, it's just not the same as it used to be.
@@ArcticWolfGod yo, had that too...but i kinda felt that it's a bit different and that's really it, i remember at first struggling with this feeling of impact but that was easy to get used to
and I'm thinking about it, maybe I'm not learning the weapon like i feel that there is something else but I've already tried every skill, made a lot of builds (mostly to focus on new skills chain crit, blood rite, furious) I'm just not feeling it for some reason...i play other weapons (a lil bit) but it's like I'm sitting in a wooden chair, it's old, trustable and I'm just used to it but like playing the CB is like the new massage chair
i would be sad to put thr hammer down :(
Might be a silly question but is this out on ps? I can't find it. Looks so good.
It's not, but World the last game in the series is
Thanks for that!
I think the accel axe doesnt get enough love
anyone else feel like CB needs an alternative to SAED? CSS replaces CES, RS -> CPP, i feel like CB need another way to expand all phials at once... im coming for a multiplayer point of view, cause my up time on monsters when im running a strictly SAED is abysmal compared to CSS when there are range weapons players
I still really miss tempest axe
My fav weapon is lance and ist awesome in sunbreak
SWAG AX NATION!
It's my main.
Swaxe life.
epic video!!
Longsword has 3,627,231 counters
funny but to me you're synonymous with mhr weapon guides. I love it. should've subbed sooner.
I've main switch axe in other games but I haven't finished rise yet. WHAT is that sythe looking switch axe @ 00:48 I want it so bad
You are right about it being a fun weapon on the technical side. However, even with Zero Sum Discharge, I feel it is missing the boom ability. Even Insect Glaive has one now with the Yeet the Bug ability.
.....Okay, a couple things:
1. How is the Zero Sum Discharge not a "boom" ability? You literally rocket off the monster after mauling it's body with a massive weapon like a chainsaw
2. Awakened Kinsect isn't really a Boom ability. It's basically Extract Hunter, but it uses your Kinsect buffs instead of helping you get all of them with an extra hookshot. Doesn't sound like a "boom" ability to me.
SWAGAXE 4LIFE BABBYYY!!!
I pretty much cheesed my away to Master Rank 100 abusing switch axe aerial playstyle lol
I play aerial too :) Do you have a nice build to share? I just started Sunbreak as it released a few weeks on Playstation, and i started by playing lbg:)
why no one love hunting horn?
Jesus Loves all of you guys
okay - this scares me - guess imma gead back to LS - DS- SNs guess a statiopnmary gameplay aint jsut it for me :/
I have loves switch axe since I started in Generations.
MHW was the best SA
It’s definitely called the SwagAx… not the “switch axe” what an amateur !
Lol
Would love a weapon workshop for SwAxe. 🥹
And enjoying Hammer.
Aye another video with swaggaxe absolutely 💯 👌🏽
