- Season 4 of Modern Warfare III came with quite a few changes and today, I wanted to hone in on the big list of Killstreak changes that should generally make the streaks much more powerful. What are your thoughts on these streak adjustments in MWIII?

UPDATE: Sledgehammer reached out to me about the missing streaks and they confirmed this is a bug and they should be showing up in the game in just a few minutes!

Imo they should of made toggle between the mgb and dna bomb
It seems they want to make it impossible to get it so going off of that, to keep things fair I think instead of them removing it they should just make it a crazy high kill streak like 45-50 instead of removing it altogether.

They don't want you to end the game, no matter how good you are... CoD isn't about killstreaks anymore, that's why they are so ass
You can get MGB. U must play Scorestreaks not Killstreaks. With Killstreaks u can get DNA.

I used to run Advanced UAV and EMP, but now they're in the same bracket and can't be equipped at the same time.

I just noticed that when my friend and I got on the game. This looping streaks meta has been crazy tho. Running SAE and Advanced is crazy asf.
The missing streaks are in the armory in the challenge tab.

Insane that the costs are INCREASED, in many of the older cods streaks were way cheaper

They should take out having to reload our guns every time we spawn. That's so irritating.

My big issue with score streaks is placable streaks like the cluster mine and the sentry get destroyed when you die in search and destroy if there's still time left in the round, the number of time I've put a cluster mine down and after I plant or someone else does but then I die it disappears even tho I earned the streak, but they stay in the game in respawn if you die
I dont really understand the point of getting rid of the dna nuke. 25 kill streak to only get like 6 kills max.. kinda lame
They really should have the DNA bomb as a kill streak and the MGB as a gun streak

Yeah, it’s just a single use team wipe which any streak can do lol. And as well still lose despite the streak being used just a dumb change all round
The one thing I wish they brought back and maybe black ops 6 does this is that you can select any 3 kill streaks, like no limitations because precision and cruise missile are in the same tier etc
The dna bomb is kinda useless if you really think about it cause after 25 streak, you'll get like 6 or 10 k1lls depending on game mode and that's it. While the mgb at least was rewarding cause you'll automatically get a win cause of game ending.

I feel like the killstreaks cost too much (by 1 kill). And i rather have 25/30 killstreak win the match.
I wonder if there will be a DNA bomb calling card since they never did add one for a MGB.

I think they should have both the DNA Bomb and the MGB, with them taking a 20-25 gunstreak and a 30-35 gunstreak respectively
I dont mind too much either way, however I am going to Agree/Disagree.
Biggest issue if anything is that Covert Sneakers has Zero counter play, and I dont agree that any perk should have Zero counters there's nothing more annoying then dying to no audio with the fact that there isnt a counter perk like in the other games is kinda dumb.
I do not mind lowering footsteps in order to not give people none super human hearing but the route cause still is the perk itself with no counter, I feel like the Bone Conduction headset should still hear covert sneakers regardless because this is the main reason I have to use them is that there isnt a counter so its either abuse a perk and not die or dont abuse the perk and die to that perk.
So this wont change anything because its a Crutch Perk.

Sad they got rid of the nuke/MGB (even though i never got close to earning one). Loved that there was a way to insta-end a game if you're playing so well
I actually earned one a few weeks ago and I'm glad I got it before they unfortunately removed it.
That's crazy.. I never got it or even try to but that doesn't make sense to take it out..
It could easily make sense to have both. I guarantee there's a big discrepancy in the community between players who can get a 25 gun streak and players who can do 30.
I find it odd that I rarely see higher end streaks in this game but they go and make them more difficult to earn.
They also seem to have toned down Sbmm so they should be easier to earn

Good riddance. It was always a stupid cheesy killstreak because putting on cold-blooded made it worthless if you just took .2 seconds to edit your class mid-game

So the dna bomb takes 25 kills to earn and in standard 6v6 can only get a max of 6 kills? Feels underwhelming compared to a jug or vtol that can pretty easily match that if not do better for much less

Changing the nuke to dna bomb could be a clue to advance warfare 2. I’m glad their changing it to 25 instead of 30 I’ve chocked so many nukes from being 1 or 2 off
yeah but it doesn't end game so no point for going for it. it's just a M.O.A.B now not a nuke streak
I wish they would make it to where your drone swarm would not kill you in HC mode. I die more from my own drones then enemies it seems

Have you checked whether the individual reaper missiles are hard-countered by the Stormender or not? I think this is crucial to determine whether this killstreak is viable.
Kill streaks cycling has been one of the absolute best updates to the game. SHG does listen to the community and is underrated
What about enableing your kill streaks to to stack other streak or keeping your streaks earned even after you die?

I kinda like how the EMP is now in the same tier as the Advanced UAV. Was seeing a lot of those combo-ing together in 10v10
I don't get why they make killstreaks harder to earn. CoD was always about earning killstreaks and chaining kills with them to insanity.
From MW2019 they are so hard to earn and so weak compared to their old counterparts, it doesn't make sense...

can u check and see if they've stealth changed streaks looping? i just played in a match where my streaks looped 3 times without me dying... now to be fair i was running low end streaks so idk if it was a bug, a change or if it was due to the mode i was in
Yeah same. I’m running Uav, cluster mine and sentry and they are definitely looping. Also the lobbies I’ve played seem WAY more fair than usual
It's a bug. It was intended for one playlist (Hyper Cranked?) but is applying to all of them. Classic SHG.

I just went with the value they provided in the patch notes and I believe they displayed the change to radius, not area

Why is it still that when you get the final blow on a sentry turret, you get no points but if you help someone (and not do the final hit), you get points as Scrap Assist? Makes no sense!
I loved using the stealth bomber in MWII and was kinda confused as to why it became harder to get with MWIII being it was the exact same and was never anything crazy... Literal lower end streaks that were way better. Good to see these changes to it... make it worth the value plus the buffs it got.
I have tried it, you can get DNA bomb and MGB at the same time, if you get 25 Killstreak you will get DNA Bomb and if you get 30 Killstreak MGB will replace DNA Bomb
Does putting sugar on a shit sandwich make it good? Then how do the devs expect to make the game better by tweaking the killstreaks? You have to remove the shit before there's any chance of improving the game as a whole.

The sae stun effect gave it flavor even though i died to it alot now its an expensive lightning strike. Overall i think im unhappy with the changes except the spawn protection but ill still play. Might be hard to enjoy since kar seems very broken
The AMPs for the renetti and lachmann shroud are also available to unlock as well alongside the M4 amp.

@sirgrizzlypfote6369 Through challenges. Go check the respective weapons. I think new renetti amp is 15 headshot kills with a sidearm and LS amp is 30 kills with silenced SMGs

fr, I was really excited to be able to call in multiple DNA Bombs in a game, and then finish off the game with an MGB to win it. I'm disappointed it REPLACES the MGB

How do they touch the MCW 6.8 but not fix the 30 round mag and the 60 round mag? They still can't be equipped in multiplayer games how did they not realize that the gun has been broken since Season 3 reloaded?

I have the perk to make me invisible to AI scorestreak and use armor piercing round lmg to take them out so maybe I'll have to put more bullets, but they will still not be able to see me while doing so, so no really big change for me. Not sure about choppers gunners but they will still not be able to directly spot me and 1 second can make a difference. As for the MGB it is still in the game, I did a game against bots to try out DNA bomb and turns out if you reach 30 kills without dying and without scorestreak (so not launching DNA bomb, or you can but will need 5 kill more with only your gun) you will get the MGB which will end the game so you basically can have two nukes in one game now, the first being a warning that you are close to ending this game and the second being game over
Man, all this should’ve been implemented at the release of the game.
Meh, I didn't find launch to be too depleted of content, other than maps but we all know that the 1.5 years of dev time for this game and late change of direction from Year 2 of MWII to MWIII was a factor there. Post-launch support has been fantastic for this game.

The Swarm and Carpet Bomb buffs sound quite interesting, as well as the change to spawn protection vs killstreaks. Will have to give this a go once I get home from work and finish some art.
the precision airstrike in warzone is a HUGE problem they come in like no joke like 1.5 seconds
I think something might be bugged with the hardline perk. In 10v10 once I got my uav, counter uav, and advanced uav I would get so much score that it was almost impossible not to get another advanced almost instantly. Could just be a 10v10 thing but the amount of score I was gettting was absurd.

The swarm is the most rewarding killstreak since the original MW2 nuke

Actually the chopper gunner is a low tier kill streak, high tier kill streak and the Gunship, Assault Juggernaut and tactical nuke.
In private match you call the DNA Bomb at 25 kills and then MGB at 30.
I gotta try cause if so they should have just done the for MP

Jeez, I wish the Swarm streak was buffed to lower score value to 1150 or 1200 and 10 kills so it could be more simple to earn since I rarely got a few of them during my gaming sessions on COD. I probably have to replace the swarm with either a missile drone or carpet bomb instead, not so much with the IMS though.
So if you get a cheater amassing kill streaks just leave because there is no point countering them now

Streak Buffs/Nerfs makes sense. Air streaks will be annoying but hey that's the point of Air Superiority. If you're on the wrong end of an A-10, that BRRRRRT LITERALLY means death

the DNA bomb is already in the game but its bugged, you cant earn it when using score to earn streaks, but with killstreaks you can.
I’ve heard from several people that you can only get the DNA bomb if your streaks are set to killstreaks and not if they’re set to score streaks, is this true?

No additional Ground War maps 4 seasons in. Seems as if GW players were tricked into purchasing this title. There are only 3 maps in the GW rotation.
now I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but I've been able to earn the scorestreaks twice without dying, and it felt amazing just like old cods used to be ( the footage is in my channel )

Idk if this is a bug but I seem to be earning killstreaks even if I'm not actively killing anyone. It happens when I have my uav activated, and my killstreak bars turn blue. It seems so busted that I was able to call in 2 carpet bombs in a span of 10 seconds
