  • OPEN ME! Today i'm trying out the Split Ender Pro 2 for the first time! I love trimming my split ends with scissors, so I was so excited to discover this tool! I know I'm a bit late to the game with this tool haha. It's supposed to help the health of your hair by trimming the ends, but leaving the length. I share my review on the product and give a little hair update along the way. Enjoy! Love you!

      Trust me, when your hair is this long it ends up more damaged than the average persons does. My hair is this long too and because it always hang over arms, getting stuck in things 😂 etc, it can get split ends easier. But that doesn’t mean your hair isn’t still healthy, it just means you probably trim it more often

    I'm thinking that perhaps the hairdresser was jealous of her hair. It's long, healthy and has an amazing natural colour. A lot of people pay thousands of dollars for hair extensions and treatments to have hair like Sarah's. Could have been out of spite. Humans are weird.
    I don't trust hairdressers anymore because I've had mostly negative experiences from various stylists over the years.

      I've had hair dressers HACK my hair off , honestly I have such a low trust in hair dressers. I completely agree with this comment. I've yet to meet a hair dresser who understands how to do a proper "dusting" of split ends, they always want to take off like 5 inches... And try to convince me "well it's all dead so," but I've been dusting my own split ends for 2 years and have seen healthy growth. All you need is some patience and some high quality scissors.

      I bought the hair split trimmer recently , and it works great . It doesn't make the hair splits thinner just trims the damaged ones and 2 different trimmers are available. The first one 1,4 and second 1,8. It helps a lot because it doesn't cut the length and many use this too , find it very functional.

      Of course it makes it thinner especially for those trying to grow it out not for those who are at a still length. It's the same as manually dusting your hair. You might still snip off some growing hair. Which is why I only dust in between trims, so only every 3 months. But of course, those who already spent money on that shit are gonna try to prove you wrong because they don't want to feel like they stupidly invest in something useless, which they did. 😂

(My hair was to my chest) And I even had a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like displayed in front of us the entire time. And somehow she managed to cut my hair above my ears.. • @greenknitter
      @greenknitter 4 роки тому +31

      @@dannie0998 All ends may pop up though and the majority won't be split ends unless you're not trimming your hair regularly. I do, and using a device that is just going to cut a few centimetres off the ends of hair strands that are at different growing lengths (because of course hairs are falling out and regrowing every day), is useless. This device doesn't know the difference between healthy ends and split ones so what's the point when cutting with a scissors will do a far better job as we can see with our own eyes which ones are split and needing to be trimmed and which are healthy.

    • @jemcarstairstoe
      @jemcarstairstoe 4 роки тому +22

      that's cuz a tool like that is essentially just trimming your hair like regular hair razors would. depending on how high you set the machine on your hair strand and then go down the length of it, all the hair it goes through gets razored and cut off, making it shorter than the rest, cutting it off unevenly (as razors do) and just creating more split ends. i would also assume the more you use it, the more you will be thinning the ends of your hair out over time. the more split ends you create, the more you use the tool, the more it cuts off, the more it splits and split ends travel up. endless cycle. after a couple of years of regular use you probably need a blunt cut and a good few inches off your hair length to get it thick and even again

    • @Jenny_De
      @Jenny_De 4 роки тому +2

      SheShattersTheRules I have this tool too but It is not recommended to use it very often as Sarah in the video said . Every 6 or 8 weeks it's not okay because it is true that it makes the hair splits thinner so I use only once in 2 months ,otherwise the hair will go thinner with the time .

    • @jemcarstairstoe

However, this tool is fantastic for clearing the split ends along the hair. And it's true that it doesn't remove the split ends 100%.

    TAKE HER ADVICE!!! I Dont know if you will ever see this, but i started using your tips 5 years ago (bought a tek brush, went natural with my shampooing, using oils and nourishment. Heat free. And heaps more) and i now have the longest hair ive ever achieved in my life. (My hair would not grow, for years. Or i had to keep getting it cut due to damage) now, its gone from above my shoulders to below my bra strap in 2-3 years. Next year i think it will finally hit my waist line and my goal will be complete! I have wanted my hair like this since i was literally 5. My mum gave me pixxy cuts my whole life. My hair actually makes me so proud now. ❤❤❤❤❤

    Have you ever tried bathrobe belt curls? It sounds crazy, but basically you put the belt horizontally over your head and kinda drape it over. Then you take a small peice from the top and twist it once around that side of the robe. Then you take another small piece and add it to the piece you just crossed over and do the same thing again. You keep doing that over and over until all of your hair is wrapped around the two sides of the belt, tie it off with a hairtie, sleep like that, and take it out in the morning. You can probably look it up and find a more detailed version, but heah! You get really nice heatless curls!

    Yes it does work. I had the original one. You need to practice more. As for the direction and position of the tool, that helps too. Don’t forget, root to tip worked for me. And i used it every time i did my hair straight. Not to much heat. But i needed to correct my damaged hairs asap. And one a month was excellent. You get the hang of it after the first month. And yes I said, Once a week for the first month. Then you will feel the difference and see the difference. Remember you are trimming the hairs that are dead and the eighth of all your hairs. Cool stuff. Then a bit of the old dusting. Length retention happens faster. And faster. FYI i had three of them in the past. Time for a new one and or the mini. Or both. lol. Thx for sharing your results. Looking forward to see your silk strands longer. Wow the split ender rocks. 👍🏽 👍🏽🦋😘😘😘

    Mad i paid 277.00 almost 5 years ago when it first came out🙃 tips ive learned
    The thinner the section the more ends it can trim since they lay flatter
    I also go over all strands 10 times, i only do it like every other months and im the only one cutting my hair so it doesnt take off actual length
    And lastly start as close to the root as possible because we have new hairs growing in wich i assume means we have all different lengths all over
    My hair does get damaged quicker during Texas's hotter months(even though i dont use heat products and use more natural products)
    Good luck♥️

The feeling of “split ends” probably return after a few hair washes.... and you’re back to square one. In my opinion this would only work if you really had bad hair, but then again I’m a skeptic when it comes to gimmicky hair tools.

Your hair videos have also been really inspirational. When I first watched your videos (about 2 years ago), my hair had an A-line cut: the back was at neck-length, and the front was almost touching my shoulders. I wanted (and still do) to grow my hair out, and your videos help keep me going. My hair is now just past my underarms, and I think feel it to be quite healthy. So, thank you again! I just want you to know that I really appreciate the effort you are putting in, since I empathise with you a lot: you talked about being scared of posting your videos. I know what anxiety feels like, and it can be really difficult to overcome, so well done for pushing yourself!
