As I have discovered and you will too after watching this video is the answer is... Yes! Hovr Brackets do work really well at installing floating shelves. It is a relatively simple process that anyone with some woodworking skills, common sense and common woodworking tools can tackle. Is the Hovr Bracket able to hold floating shelves that have a lot of weight on them and with one foot deep shelves. Yes it can if installed properly! However sometimes things don't always go as planned and there are some problems that you might run into on a real life install using this system. First of all you must have at least two studs to fasten too, if not you are screwed. Your floating shelf must be long enough to span 2 stud spaces in the area your planning to install it or else it won't work. Also what's the minimum shelf thickness you can use with Hovr Brackets? The Minimum thickness is 1 3/4" Thick. I also ran into some problems installing Hovr Brackets on Drywall as there was too much mud built up causing the backing to be too soft. I also came up with a better alternative method of installing this shelf with set screws as the method provided by Hovr Bracket is not adequate in my opinion. Finally you might want to consider glueing your shelf to the wall to gain as much stability and strength as possible.
