TO EVERYONE: If you have the problem of going up I have a fix on console and PC. The 3 red stone repeaters he uses on the white wool should all be hit 3 times each. And that should work. The timing has to be perfect to be able to push through and grab you to the next level.
My 1 is still not going up

On pc this doesnt work for me, ive adjusted the repeater but that isnt the problem, pistons just flat out arnt pulling my character. i stood ontop of the lower piston and hit the button and the top one still wont take me to the second floor
oh it doenst work at all in 1.11.2 got it...that sucks... wonder how many of the other creations dont work anymore....

It relies on a bug, which I think has since been patched.

on x box i changed the highest repeater to 0 clicks and then it started working like if this helped you too

it is called translocation elevator which doesnt work in mcpe
why wouldn't it work?
bill it is just a bug in pc called translocation bug in which sticky pistons can pull up items and players where as this bug is not in mcpe and will not pull up the players

What version? Cuz it isnt working for me on 1.10 or 1.8.9
You must have misplaced something in the redstone, you might want to go back and double check

This doesnt work for me. The piston wont bring me up.
Blue Nova I really agree with the new version when I try to put the hopper on the dropper it shows me the dropper...And when I finally did it a pressed the down button and it only threw the redstone inside of the dropper...FAKE!!!

because of the water update you can swim in one block and the piston will just push you down into swimming mode unfortunately

Thanks for the help, but will it still work in 1.8? I'm in that mode right now and it's not working. The pistons are shooting out and stuff, but they aren't grabbing me and pulling me up. Lag? I tried replacing the regular pistons with sticky pistons and it didn't work.
tried to do it on console edition, and while it functioned, it couldn't take me up. any ideas as to why?
