Good lord! I didn’t remember that they had so many places to eat! Nowadays..you’re lucky to find a Vegas casino with a couple different places and almost none are 24/7
This video was such a nostalgic nuclear bomb! Thank you so very much for that! If you have any more or can find any more I would highly appreciate it if you posted them
Man, I was born in 1992 after all this. Have the Medieval Times show, mix it well with the Irwindale Renaissance Faire, then Las Vegas in the bag and you have this. The Excalibur in and outside in this video is beautiful. Medieval games, a 4D theater, Medieval fantasy goodies and shows not just the Tournament, heck look at the fire-breathing dragon at 5:20-5:23! If only Las Vegas today did not get a de-theming treatment. When I was little going there I saw a statue of Merlin the Wizard at the Castle. I wish I was at the Excalibur as an adult in the early 90's
John John, one of the original bartenders on opening day in 1990, still tends the Lobby Bar and is the best damn bartender in town. The place may be a dump, but it still has its charms.
This takes me back. The first thing I would do when I got to my room was watch the in-house video. Would you have one on the MGM? Thank you for sharing.
I was the director of advertising and PR for Excalibur from October of 1989 until December of 1992. What a joy ride. A ton of work, too.
There was a time when that 4 corners of Tropicana ave was the hottest part of the strip
Man I would LOVE to see the one from the late 90s and early 2000s

Round Table Buffet was exc 👌🏿👍🏿💖💗! 4:24
Reminds me of the Knights Inn chain of motels. Unfortunately, the castle theming can be kind of dreary. Thanks for posting this time capsule!

Neat! Sad what was once the largest, newest property is now ratty and aged, and just a step above Circus Circus

They still have the same carpeting in 2023!

No, we never stayed at that venue.
I miss Wild Bills and the Camelot steakhouse
Awesome
MGM turned Excalibur into a dirty dump. Recent reports of bedbugs highlight how badly they've neglected this hotel.
Essentially, over the time, they dethemed and cheapened the place. Legitly, in 1991, Excalibur looked much better than today.
Wow, this makes the current Excalibur look like a low-effort dump.
this is ducked up on so many levels it's not even funny anymore. still, a nice 90s throwback.
