a)The relationship between the father and the son was not well developed. Anil Kapoor's character felt one dimensional and flat.
b) Discontinuity in the screenplay: too many subplots which felt unnecessary and contributed zilch to the main plot but were included only for shock value.
3) poor action choreography 😂: honestly, I almost died laughing when Ranbir was single-handedly murdering those masked men who were carrying 🪓. Literally, they were waiting for Ranbir to come and get them one by one 😂. Few were standing behind Ranbir with their 🪓 in their hands yet did nothing. Lol! Substandard action choreography 😂. The most ridiculous thing was that the gang of Punjabis were singing arjan vailley 😂 instead of fighting alongside Ranbir. And these are the people that left their family and came with Ranbir to avenge his father's attack.
AND ... THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
under utilisation of Bobby's character. I was so intrigued by the character watching the trailer but in the movie, vanga made him a typical one dimensional Bollywood villain and it felt like an extended cameo.
😂 And the final battle 😂😂😂 OMG! The way Ranbir killed Bobby's character and then the way Bobby's brother reacted while standing there and doing nothing. 😂 Chaapriverse!
I can go on and on , but I guess I already proved my point. Animal is a garbage movie and only made money bcz Indian audience is predominantly misogynistic.
