In this video, we will review the different RAID options and show the RAID levels for each of those options. We will compare the differences between all the RAID options. We will physically install a RAID card in to our R620, in this case an H310 mini mono card. After the installation, we will show you how to configure RAID levels. For demonstration purposes, we will be configuring RAID 5. We will also provide a comparison graph for all the RAID controllers.

my physical disks show 0 in the perc h710 configuration utility, but I can see them in my software s110 utility. Any idea why that might be?
In case anyone runs into this, you need your sas cable to connect from your backplane to the perc controller to recognize the drives
I am only seeing the first 4 out of my 8 drives what could be the cause of that? the last 4 don't light up when inserted but when removed the little screen on the system tells me drive # has been removed. I do have the H710 controller by the way.
Are the drives known working drives? Are all your cables plugged in? Backplane functioning properly?
@@cloudninjas they are all known working drives… honestly no clue about status of backplane as I have bought this server used. I checked cabling it’s all plugged in but will pull cables and reseat to give it another go.
@@cloudninjas just got around to pulling the server and checking the cables aaaaaand the second cable was juuuuust barely unplugged lol 😂 it’s all working now.
