Love this routine, I have it on VHS with the rest of that special. “Toast” and “Fly’s Eyes” had to be memorized immediately!! (Fly’s Eyes is fun to sing at a picnic….!) And “step step step NADA” is recited whenever we get out a stepstool. For 30 years now….. lol
The only thing that moves faster then his hands are his hilarious neurons. Charming and silly, but also sexy in his intentionally-subdued intelligence.
Now I see where I got my sense of humor as a kid. I can't believe I found this. As a kid, I used to record these on a vhs timer when my parents didn't know. This guy I watched everyday and was the best of them all. Almost 40 years later, I showed my 17 year old son and we both died laughing. Thank you Heywood!
Heywood Banks is one of my favorite comedy club memories ever. Dad is on the spectrum and I've never seen him laugh as hard as at that night with Heywood :D
Thanks for posting this amazing performance! I just learned of him like an hour ago and have been binging his material. This is by far the oldest but it gives perspective to him now. He is still hilarious and still intelligent with his lyrics. I was a Carlin fan in the 90s and on as well (I saw your comment telling someone else that you are too) but I'm versatile. This prop comedy, when done right, is epic! And Heywood definitely did it right! Lol! 😂🤣
