💛About us:
Hi! We are Trey and Rosa, we have 5 kiddos and we moved from the big city of Las Vegas to the outskirts of Pahrump to homestead and grow our own food with the goal of self-sufficiency. We have a small homestead with Nigerian Dwarf goats, ducks, chickens, and also have cats and dogs running around everywhere and recently converted to eating a full plant based diet due to health reasons.
We are passionate about growing our own food, eating clean & healthy, cooking food from scratch, desert gardening and making simple skincare products for our family and for you.
We specialize in making 100% goat's milk soap using fresh goat milk from our own Nigerian Dwarf goats that provide the most moisturizing bar of goat milk soap you'll try. We love all the benefits of our goat milk soaps and find that it's great for skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin.
Nikce meal prep. It is so nice to see that you are teaching your children how to cook and prepare food.
Thank you so much Kathy! We feel it’s important to teach them young so they have a base skill when they’re all grown up and leave me 😭
Your kids are wonderful ! In a world where some full grown adults can't make a simple meal, watching your kids master this essential life skill is very refreshing.
Hi there! We totally get it and agree! There’s so much convenience and fast foods nowadays that most people don’t cook or can’t cook. I think it’s still a great skill for the kiddos to have. Do you have kids yourself?
feeding two birds with one scone 🥰
That is too cute 🥰 I love that saying now! Are you plant based or vegan too?
@@thehaipath I'm vegan for animals first (our earthling animal family), I love the energy & vibe of your videos, there's so much compassion and love in how you raise your family. 🥰
hahaha, I went to the comments to say the same thing! 😊💛
Thank you, as vegans every cruel saying should be replaced with a compassionate one. I often say cut 2 carrots with one knife, but i love the replacement for the cruel bird saying to yours. I will definitely be using that one now as well.
Me too...vegan for animals first. ❤
Again! Another impressive meal prep! And love how the kids are so helpful and open to eat these amazing meals!
Thank you for joining us Jocelyn! By now I feel like they’re enjoy embracing this lifestyle 😋😋
even with only the 2 of us, I do some meal prep. I always do batch prepping (beans, lentils, grains, shredded cabbage & carrots, plus I roast up some potatoes and some beets each week). I loved seeing how you and the kids do your meal prep. What a great sense of accomplishment for them.
Hi Diane! Thank you so much! We hope one day the kids learn to do this themselves and this helps them when they get older 😊
I enjoy your videos so much and just love seeing the children help too! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Susan! We enjoy sharing with you our cooking adventures and hiccups 😝 Hope to see you on the next video!
I’m not a mom yet but this is so beautiful to see vegan children getting nutritious meals!☺️
Hi VeganBug! Aww thank you! Excited to hear when you have your kiddos what you’ll feed em too ☺️ have you been vegan your whole life?
Your daughter helping is so sweet. Well done, mama. Everything looks delicious.
Thank you so much! Yes she is a great help, everyone helps whenever they can we are blessed to have these hands! 🥰
I love ❤️ that your kids help you, your daughter is a pro at cooking that’s so nice. I’m glad I found your channel
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words, she told us she wants to be a chef when she grows up 😍 do you have any kids yourself?
Yes I have grandkids and they all love to cook
A pro with that knife too😊
Hehe thank you!! They practice lots
Mercy is so cute! 🥹☺️ All your kids are. I'm sharing this with my own kiddos to get them interested in working in the kitchen with me. Thanks for sharing! Everything looks great. 😊
Aww that’s awesome! How many kids and how old are your kids? We would love and update, let us know if they’re interested in cooking with you!
Amen and Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family.
HalleYah! Thank you for your support and for you finding us!
I look forward to your videos. I'm glad you post so much . I can't wait until your cookbook comes out
Thank you so much Linda! WOW a cookbook! My husband was just talking to me about maybe writing a book in the future ha!
You’ve definitely gave it confirmation, I will definitely work towards this! 🥰
@@thehaipath I hope it comes true for your family
I'm inspired! Got a few ideas for dinner meal prep from your video. Thank you!
Hi Elaine! Woohoo! We’re so happy to hear you were inspired we can’t wait to hear what you think about everything on our next video 😃
Your family is a real credit to you. Such wonderful helpers. A great video, thank you!
Aww thank you Sam! We appreciate your kind words! Hope to see you on our next video
Love your channel!
By the way, Hai is also modern Hebrew and it doesn't mean "life" (that is Haim), but "living"
Thank you so much! The Hebrew word is actually spelt chai (ch is guttural) consisting of the two letters Chet and yud and it is the Hebrew word for life. You can say alive, living, vital however this is all symbolizing life.
@@thehaipath oh i know i am Hebrew speaker from Israel (: love your channel so much!!
I have been trying to find vegetarian / vegan recipes to eat healthier and more mindfully, that my wife would like, too. I just made your chili Mac, and I think I may persuade her with it! ❤ thank you
Hi there Tyler! Thank you so much for your comment and for your love and support! We hope she enjoys our chili mac as much as we did, it’s really super easy and family friendly. Excited to hear about your journey more often, let us know how the Mac goes with your wife!
@@thehaipath I ended up with SO MUCH. Okay but here’s what I did, since we are more vegetarian and not full vegan - I made a cheese sauce with cheddar, water, olive oil, and flour. Then combined with mac, layered in dishes with the chili, covered with breadcrumbs and cheese and baked it for about 30 minutes at 400. Oh boy, let me tell you - maybe the best thing I’ve ever made. Thank you again!
@tylerjamesnewton1422 🤤🤤 that sounds AMAZING!! I do miss cheese sometimes I’m not going to lie but only if I hear about it or see it.
You should try our crispy potatoes next, we have a video! Check it out! That’s one to impress the Mrs with!
@@thehaipath I think the sauce could be done with nutritional yeast? The self-rising flour I used in it made it crisp up in the oven. I also have a big pan the way you made it, and both are just as good.
I will check out the potatoes for sure! And trying the burritos in this video. Making hummus, all that - definitely inspired.
It’s so nice to see Mercy and Isaiah participate in your videos …. Boys often get left out of the cooking process- I love that you include them all and also involve them in creating the videos….. ( hope I remembered their names correctly)
Hello! Haha yes! We had Isaiah (spider man), Israel came to help and mercy was in this too! You’re great with names!
Fun meal prep. I love that your kids were helping you and it was a great testament of the cooking that they couldn't wait to eat it!😆💕
Haha yes! They love snacking on stuff and eating half our meal preps 🥴🥴 they’re eating healthy though!
your family is gorgeous! and the food looks great. I'm going to try this meal prep this week! Thank you for the content!!
Thank you so much Beebee! We hope you try and let us know how it went! We kind of feel style everything. Do you cook using a recipe?
I usually don't use recipes unless I see someone make something I haven't tried making :) The chili looks amazing, not just for mac, but with rice and cornbread would be soooo good. Im gonna do this this week! :) @@thehaipath
Nice! Give it and a try and let us know what you think! They’re all easy and you can always customize the way you like 👍🏽
Great meal prep ideas. Don't forget to remind viewers to "share" your videos!! I'm enjoying watching your numbers soar. It's a testament to your hard work and commitment!! P.S. It was nice getting a peek at your oldest son helping in this video. Kudos to all the kiddos!
Thank you! Ah yes I keep forgetting to say that haha I will take their help whenever I can get 😆
Thanks for all your Amazing Recipes!! Mercy is quite the little cook!!
Haha thank you! Yes she told us one day she wants to be a chef 🥺🥺 I’m like, good! So she can cook for me 😄
@@thehaipath Great Plan!! You Deserve It!!

Seeing your kids being involved in the meal prep warms my heart ❤️ this is what I am hoping to have my boy do when he gets older 😊
Aww how cute! How old is your son? 😍 I’m sure with guidance he will grow to be a great cook!
@@thehaipath he is 2, and yes he loves getting in the kitchen with me already!
Woohoo! 🥳 yes continue to work with him and teach him!!!
Wow! Mad respect!!

Great food prep. I prep once a week.
Good stuff! Are you able to eat throughout the whole week? That’s so great 😃
You are amazing! Best channel ❤thank you for all your recipes and short cuts!!!!!
Hi Judy! Thank you for spending time with us in the kitchen!! Are you a home cook too?
@@thehaipath I do my best to cook at home. I am a single mom and there are 3 of us. It is important to me to fill everyone up with healthy food. Honestly, I don’t always have the time 🙃
@judya8044 I totally understand! You are doing amazing raising the kids and I’m sure you’re feeding them great!
I love how you cook by theory ☺️ I love watching the kids help you with all the chopping and everything that goes along with making everything come together. I don’t meal prep myself, but it’s inspiring to watch.
My six kids are all grown with beautiful families of their own. But I’m in my 60’s renaissance and I love learning along with you and your food experiments and experiences.
Hi there Judith, thank you! We love incorporating the kids and teaching them young. Do you meal prep yourself or are you plant based? Hope you’re inspired to make some of these yourself.
@@thehaipath hi thanks for writing me back:) yes I’m plant based, and omgosh, I’m meal prepping for the first time; plus I like to experiment, like you🥰..I’m just so curious, and I love to see how left overs can be repurposed. So like, last week I made this vegetable broth from everything Inhad on hand - turnips from the food bank, sweet potatoes, onions, carrots -these amazing stewed vegetables, remained after all-day simmering, and seasonings, and straining for a broth to knock your socks off. I refrigerated the stewed vegetables just because they looked and smelled so savory from all the seasonings. So last night I had an idea to pulse them smooth, and to my shock it looked texturally, just like ground beef had been added- the shape in all😵 so I added a 10oz tin of tomatoe sauce and 10oz tin of cubed tomatoes and seasoned again and it looked just like a bolognese I’d been cooking all day. I loaded it with fresh garlic, and put it in the oven overnight at 170 degrees and this morning I’m prepping a layered spaghetti with it, with kelp fettuccine noodles, and (9calories for the whole pkg of noodles😍) a dusting of nutritional yeast and I’ll bake again on super low just to meld, and then cut into serving sizes to freeze for my dinners next week. I wish you could smell the aromas from the “bolognese” and I’m just so excited to be prepping for the first time and I’m so thankful for how it supports my new healthy lifestyle❤️🙏🏽 thanks again !
@JudithArtHouse I am truly a sucker for bolognese sauce oh man! Your creation sounds so good what a great way to use everything up! If you meal prep too you won’t be looking to always have to chop and cook for those days you don’t want to! 😄
@@thehaipath ❤️🙏🏽right!!?😃☺️
I love that this is a family thing good job mom
Aw thank you Ginger! We appreciate you being here! Are you a large family too?
@@thehaipath not really large and I am 67 my family is spread out all over ..I do live with two of my daughters and 2 grandkids but they work and are not home a lot
Nice to meet you Ginger!
Kia ora! I loved this meal prep, they always inspire me to try new ideas. I mostly prep weekly and do enjoy it .. well mostly lol. Can I say great job Mercy and Israel, you looked so professional! I'm definitely going to try the exact same potatoes and hummus Mercy, they looked so yummy! God bless y'all 🙏😁
Kia Ora Karen! How are ya? That’s awesome you prep every week, it really helps doesn’t it. I know these meals helped us this week for sure when we’re in a rut. Doing these videos sure help us too 😃
Really, enjoy your videos and ideas you provide to eat healthier - your creativity and ability to cook for such a thriving family very endearing to see. What lovely little helpers all learning some valuable life skills. Appreciatively 🙏🏻
Hi Rebecca!! Thank you so much! We try to eat healthy, it’s especially important at this time because all you see is junk and convenience foods in the world. We appreciate and love having you here in the community! Thank you for the kind words 😍
@@thehaipath🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Totally respect that you're a Vegan. At the same time, where do you think it's okay to make That decisionfor your children.. There's so many other options. And yes they might not be vegan. But they don't get to enjoy in that part
We believe eating a plant based diet is the healthiest way to live, and as parents it’s our responsibility to raise kids in the very best way we can think of. And as parents we are responsible for their health and safety.
We’re not sure if you assume being plant based or vegan that kids are missing out or just not getting nutrition? Because we guarantee they’re getting way more nutrition than a lot of meat eating families out there and they’re definitely are not missing out on anything.
What specifically do you think they don’t get to enjoy? Cakes? Cookies? Junk food? There are lots of snacky foods the kids enjoy weekly too on top of kid friendly foods at home
Where's the beef?
On another channel, not this one! 😉
Did you ask "Where's the beans?"?
I think that's what you meant to ask on a VEGAN channel. 😊
This little kid should not work with that big sharp knife and hot oven and hot food. She made her work like a maid. The kid looks so exhausted. This is not okay. The baby didn't help, actually she cooked like an adult.
Thank you for the feedback! Our daughter has great knife skills we have great confidence in her in the kitchen because we taught her since young.
Why would anyone think it’s ok to have 5 kids in a world where many people decide not to have kids due to overpopulation? It’s selfish in my opinion. And I just don’t understand it.
The issue isn’t overpopulation, the issue is population density and overconsumption. If we spread out our population and only consume what we need and live a sustainable life style where everyone tries to grow their own foods and support local farms and businesses, we wouldn’t be worried about “overpopulation”. We’ve made our choice and the result of that is 5 beautiful children that we get to enjoy and hopefully one day they will be able to enjoy their children. The purpose of life is to give life and transfer the knowledge we have accumulated. So if you and others decide to stop one of the most basic aspects of life because you’re afraid or believe the entire planet can’t contain us, don’t judge us because we don’t.
@@thehaipath you can transfer your genes and knowledge with one child. You don’t need so many. That’s my point. I’m not saying everyone should stop having kids altogether.
This is such a hateful statement to make to someone! I only hope you can bring more joy to the world you seem so concerned about.
