This was a fantastic video thank you so much! I never considered using the mod that removed the box on the shops! I'm planning a build with me series for a Safari Park and I recently found inspiration for an entrance I wanted to create. Thank you so much for your tips on how I can make it more functional rather than just for decoration this has totally saved me!!!
I dont push too many mods but that one is a must imo, especially if you're going for a bit more of a unique look. Glad the video could be of some help!

I guess all I'm really doing atm is trying to help people see the game from a different angle, but I am so happy I can be of some help :)
The secret with people building Amazing stuff in planet zoo or coaster is simple: they don't have anyrhing else to do.
I don't even consider playing it unless I have about 10 straight hours to sit and play lol
Building is needlessly tedious. Why no wall tool? The time it takes to get your set pieces saved to blueprint is too much.

Glad I could help. It's not the easiest game to just pick up and play but the more you learn the more you'll love it, especially if like myself you like to see how far you can push the boundaries of the game

Thank you so much. It's always a good thing to share even the smallest bits of knowledge you pick up that some may not know about, especially with a game as complex as PZ can get.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet. But there were two updates (many months ahi now), that would let players delete the entrance in Franchise Mode for a short while.
However! The ability to remove the entrance has been a permanent feature for at least 4 months now.
BE MINDFUL, that the spawn pads, and ticket stalls are grouped to be building and must be ungrouped first! I believe you may be able to delete them after you bring them inside the border. But the main two buildings (the construction objects) are deletable.
I'm sure that is the case now, this video was made a hell of a long time ago so is no doubt very out of date tbf

I've looked on your steam workshop but couldn't find the entrance cover you mentioned in this video. I'm not sure what they are called, the metal bars people push to enter the zoo?
It's probably not on there. I've not updated the WS in a very long time, I just never get round to it. The item you are looking for though can be found on the WS by other people, try turnstile as the search :)

I made them myself. You can create custom items and then places them in a folder to use in the game

I can't really put a date on it currently but I am working on it, quite a big build, and with the new update incoming as well I'm hoping we don't get any silly bugs that set me back a bit

I cant find the mod that gets rid of the box around the shops and the bathroom stalls have railings?
The bathrooms will always look as they are, no ones been able to mod those but the shops mod can be found on the nexus mods website
where and how did you place your guest spawn points at? I noticed in the later part of the video
03:32 you'll see the spawn point and I explain where you can find them. You can place them anywhere on the map, just be sure to place them outside of the zoo's entrance :)
i'm just wondering what those paths/tiles are, like the big beige tiles on the custom entrance. Is it a mod or something?
No they are in the game, plaster quarter circle, when combined you get the shape you see. If you have the Africa Pack from way back there's some great plaster pieces in that too :)
Another question what is the piece you use as the planter edge, looks like a rock but what is it called in the game? I can't figure it out!
It's the recolourable stone piece that came in the South American DLC. I absolutely love them pieces!

O , what are those twisty things on the entering part called, i need to know!
They are the New World Fence 01 Post, the little wooden bit is just sunk into the metal so you don't see it, then a few are rotated to achieve the look. You could also use the European Ceiling Fan Cable too, the bonus with that is it's recolourable.

This doesn't work in franchise mode btw for anyone trying, they removed that feature to prevent people exploiting cash bug to get more money in franchise mode.
This was made quite some time ago to be fair but thanks for letting me know
Do they actually use the ticket office or is it for visual only
They do use it but it's just to give the illusion of a ticket office, it operates as an information kiosk
Could you please specify what you pressed to delete the entrance? It isnt letting me delete the entrance.

I can’t delete the back end of the entrance, I’ve tried everything and I’m not sure what is wrong
In franchise it wont delete but should do in sandox. Try using the select all tool on the bottom right hand corner and then deleting :)
Does this deleting and rebuilding the entrance work in franchise as well?
I don’t play franchise too much but I’m lead to believe it does :)
It doesn't. You can't delete the building in Franchise mode :(

It was probably the boxless shop mod but it really isn't needed now that we have all of the shops in the game without that now :)
I think the fixed the entrance in last update and we are no longer to delete the original entrance anymore
In franchise I'm told you can't but in Sandbox you can definitely delete it still, I do all the time :)
I see. I only can build a small box of entrance, looking forward to see more videos for new DLC
You can't get rid of the base entrance in Franchise Mode

@@DanXG I feel that. Just wish there was a a better offline mode than challenge mode. The market is way harder to operate with and you have weird limits like that. But you can't turn on challenges and research on Sandbox mode. Weird stuff
@@logantoney1494 Oh I know what you mean. If you could add the research to Sandbox then that would be great, I've tried making it more difficult for myself in that mode but it always reaches a point where its too easy

How is named the mod that removes shops box?
You'll need to search for boxless shop mod on the nexus site
I can't delete the paths as they are in the entrance building to the zoo
you click on the thing the people spawn on and move it away from the entrance, it should take both of the spawns and where you pay for tickets. then you can delete the paths and the building.
How do you mix the floors together without it bugging out?
As long as they aren't overlapping they should be fine. If they do ever overlap just lift up and line up again and it fixes the z-fighting issue the game has :)
@@DanXG How are you also able to have the guests walk on the sidewalks while there are roads at the bottom?

I wish this video included your process of building these entrances rather than just talking about it.
The issue is I build way to slow because of the detail I put in. I have started doing some live building in a separate series and may attempt an entrance one day
@@DanXG that'd be great! I'm a visual learner so seeing the steps of how things are put together while the thought process is explained helps me the most. For example, how'd you create those intricate shapes in your pathing for your more elaborate entrances? I'd love to see a step by step tutorial how you did one of those.
@@DanXGI'm so late to answer this. But could it be possible to record the building process, speed it up and then talk about it while you're watching that speedbuild? As like, explaining what you are doing 😊
@@evedesign5576 I don't make content anymore I'm afraid. There are some great people still in the community that do similar things. JustGoron, ZWED and Leaf are usually good with this sort of thing.
The entrance doesnt work. There are no people visiting

@@DanXG no, i placed the entrance but no one is coming trough😂 so i looked if i might put it down to the wrong side but its wasnt wrong placed. So idk
@@MMM-pw5lg usually one of the following:
No spawn points on the map
Paths need connecting
Entrance slabs are the wrong way round
Ticket prices are too high
Double check all that’s done and hopefully it’ll work for you 😀
