This was WAY more helpful than I thought it would be. Wow. I was feeling extremely down from my failed building lately but this definitely renews my inspiration. Thank you!
This entire tutorial playlist is a lifesaver, thank you so much 😭😭❤️ i played the original Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon 2 for *hundreds* of hours as a kid and when PZ came out grown-up me was SO excited for it but then when i actually tried to play it i was so overwhelmed by the building/construction system that i ended up not really playing it for more than a few mins before i got frustrated. The in-game tutorials aren't *terrible* but they also don't really go into as much detail as your tutorials do and i found i didn't *really* learn how to build things i liked in the game. This might renew my love for the zoo building genre at last 🫶
This video helped me so much! Thank you! I was about to quit the game since i see so many beautiful things made by content creators but never menaged to do it myself. With this video i understood the building mechanics i needed to go a step further inside my zoo. Thank you again, and wish you 1000 years of blessings.
41:58 love your realization of the ppl walking through the table🤣. Found your channel needing lots of help with building better. Glad I clicked on your video love your work and how easy you make it look. Thanks for the amazing video!🥰
I went on vacation this past weekend and saw a very interesting building called The House On the Rock. It was originally a wealthy eccentric man's private home; he was a collector and eventually turned it into a museum, so it's this huge weird thing in the middle of Wisconsin. But it is architectually very unique, especially the section called "The Infinity Room". I invite anyone reading this to check it out and Google some images; I have spent the last two days trying to recreate it in PZ using some of the techniques Rudi shows here, but I am having a very hard time! I could use some advice for how to complete the tip of the building. I am hoping to make the finished product into an observation deck for my African Plains Animals habitat, and mount it just high enough that my guests can be face-to-face with the giraffes.
Bro thank you so much this will really help me because im doing a planet game challenge with some of my family members and this should surly bump me up with our judges with building grade
amazing tutorial, been finding it hard to make my zoos look good lately so this helped me so so so much! Also like how u unintentionally keep showing how buggy this game is sometimes lol
Ok believe me or not but I play PC and PZ since the beginning and I didn't know we could change the grid size ... So thanks for this tutorial, obviously really helpful :)
Just wanted to say very helpful thank you. But why didn’t you just go into the building piece you already split and add the shop in there (the angled one) 😅 it will be in the same grid and easier to move later on
Did everything you did. Can't snap my custom wall on a shop, it just clips half a 1m grid in or out but when i take the wall piece out of my custom wall it fits fine. This game is driving me nuts
Hey rudi I am completely new to Planet Zoo I am just trying to figure out how the construction works. I wanted to make a simple building. But you can’t or it doesn’t automatically rotate walls etc. so confusing
Yes if they are all scenery pieces not ment to build on a grid. No if there is a grid based piece in it. If you want to group those you can only by making a blueprint of it. You can move them tho by select them all with the multi select tool in the right bottom corner and then hit 'm' or the move button.
*Sigh* That's two hours of my life wasted. I love tutorials and this one has a lot of great ideas but I couldn't follow it even though I was running the vid on a second screen and pausing every 10 seconds. The problem is that once I started to create anything my grid disappeared and this wasn't addressed at all in the video. As you can imagine, that made putting the building together from the pieces impossible. Also, I used the exact same pieces yet they didn't line up the same ways even within the grid, so either something has changed or Rudi was doing something else and not describing it. It's probably my user error but there's no way to know and despite spending at least two hours trying to do this, I'm no closer to building anything like this and just more frustrated than I was before.
Oh there is a grid glitch at the moment indeed. That wasn't the case in the past. I am already working on a new tutorial series cause so much has changed
@@RudiRennkamel Oh thank Goodness for a new series because building in this game is....challenging. I don't know about a Grid Glitch but that makes sense - I couldn't figure out how you could have a grid and I couldn't. Thanks for the response and the content.
oh my goodness....I tried so hard to learn something here, but you talk so fast, that all I did was get very confused and frustrated. After watching this twice, I've honestly learned very little...sad to say.
this is an advanced tutorial. If you are new to it, I have a very basic, slow paced 5 episode tutorial series on the channel. Thats better for you first I guess :)
I play with the speed options in youtube. .075 the background music gets kinda funky, but he becomes a bit easier to understand. helps to also watch this on another screen, and to play along side to learn, hope this helps.
Same. From the comments it looks like everyone learned something except me. But to me it seemed like he was just saying what he was thinking as he went along rather than actually explaining what he was doing.
This was WAY more helpful than I thought it would be. Wow. I was feeling extremely down from my failed building lately but this definitely renews my inspiration. Thank you!
you are welcome =)
Just what I needed, haven't found many videos explaining grids and advanced building as well as this! Thank you!
You are welcome :)

Really enjoyed this Rudi, even more than the speed builds, i learn much more , thanks for bringing this material to us :)

Would love an updated tutorial, with all the new functions and things that came in the last few years 😍
Your zoos are so beautiful Rudi, both the buildings and the exhibits! Thanks for sharing your creative genius with the rest of us! :)

@@RudiRennkamel Hi🤗
Something that might become an issue is the possible collision of shop queues. Thank you for this detailed tutorial!
Fantastic tutorial! I learned so many useful tips that will help me take my builds to the next level.
:) Glad to hear
This was INCREDIBLY helpful, thanks for making cool designs like this so accessible to learn.
Your series is really helping me because I just got planet zoo and I reckon I am rlly good at building thx

Thanks for the time you put into your tutorials bud, i really appreciate it and understand the effort it takes :)

This tutorial changed my building completely, thank you so much 🥰
You are welcome :)
Helpful...ish. I only say ish because I am so bad at building, even watching your tutorials I still can't quite get it LOL.
Great video, extremely helpful especially the grid tips!

That is very helpful. Really needed a tutorial like this.
Thanks man, i didn´t know about some keys like "b" and "f" cool info i´m gone try it.
He makes it looks so easy!

I would love to see 1,2 and 3 meter wide wall and roof section pieces, or at least get rid of z fighting somehow.
Yes half walls 👍🏻
who else doesnt have planet zoo but watches tutorials anyway
Haha nice
that's hardcore, respect
Meee
i have subtitles on and when you say at the end you can find me on socials under @rudirennkamel.
the subtitle says under a true human kamel lol
Th y are so right
Great tutorial thanks. You don’t want to upload such pieces to the workshop? I’m not so good in design, such “lego” pieces would be very helpful :)
how to know which building items stop animals passing through?

How do you stop pwoplw walking through walls etc?
Soo weird that we only got the kerbs now, it took them soo long to add them! ;o

Could you do a filter tutorial
I have one :) just look for Ansel tutorial
Thank you! Love your videos! They are awesome!
I like how you pronounce "here" as "hia" :D
Did u notice that when you placed the doughnut shop the shop said nom nom?
How do you even get to these menus
Hi Rudi Rennkamel, uh do you know how to separate a part from a group
You have a button in the menu of the item you select that is 'split from group' on the right top corner
@@ingu23 omg thanks, how i havent noticed it yet!
8:10 Cannabis? Nice, 420, 69 roflmau.
I would put 'F' in the chat if there was any chat to it in. 😜
bro can u make a how to build a swedish house.
Can you combine multiple groups into one?
Cam you have to multi select both groups and press merge scenery into group
Yes if they are all scenery pieces not ment to build on a grid. No if there is a grid based piece in it. If you want to group those you can only by making a blueprint of it. why couldnt we just have a diverse range of prebuilt buildings like JWE
