  • Why? WHY? Jamie Oliver did not make it easier on us with this one, but then again, when did he ever?
I feel bad for the fellow Thai community... O____o
But yeah, what kind of pet snake should I get?
and should I actually try the real red curry? with a glass of milk probably.
Thank you so much for watching!
    Xx,
    Mich

As expected, you were surprised by Jamie Oliver's cooking again. Don't worry about uncle Roger. He's fine and has already exceeded Jamie's subscribers. And no chili jam too. LOL

Thai Red Curry with not only tomato purre and red pepper, but also Strawberry, Cherry, Rasberry, carrot, red apples. But since Jamie Oliver only had red pepper and Tomatoe puree in the studio, he could only use that. Thank god for that.

Dude, I wish I'd been here sooner. I'd point you to the channel Clint's Reptiles for the pet snake question. Even if you already have one, though, still see if he has a video on it. He's really informative and engaging.

As much as I enjoy various curry recipes, I seem to gravitate most to Japanese style curry. I use the S&B curry blocks, mostly "medium" (it's really not that hot) and add more heat via hot sauces or adding spices. One of the best tricks I've learned when dealing with hot(spicy) foods is to NOT drink cold things to wash it down. Cold closes the pores and traps the heat (usually capsicum) in and it makes the heat persist. I usually drink hot tea or rarely coffee (depending on what the food is). Hot liquids open up the pores and help flush the heat away and so the fire in your mouth doesn't last that long. Works for me. By the way, capsicum (the chemical in peppers that brings the heat) is sugar soluble. So to increase your mouth fire dissipation, try sweet hot tea if you are really sensitive to spicy heat. Also, one would expect that before you make a recipe, you do some research and learn at least a little about it first. Don't just think about it and throw in whatever you think will "create" what you think it should taste like...right?

Science explained!! I shall drink hot tea when I eat hot foods from now on 🫠

I used to have pet snakes years ago. They were corn snakes. Easy to care for, low maintenance, non-poisonous. Just fed them baby/small mice depending on their age, give em a tray of water, heating pad, heat lamp, and s spot to hide in.

Dude that’s me. Except for the baby mice. Chicken nuggies go down easier.

Ball pythons they're easy to care for and don't get really big maybe 6-7ft max yet they're very hardy. They are probably the most calm with being handled.

If you don't like spicy curry, it's Massaman Thai curry that you want (as long as you aren't allergic to peanuts). It's milder and sweeter than red or green curries because it has a lot of Indian influence.

If Jamie's hair is what tipped you off it's an older episode, then it still makes no sense for 2015. That hairstyle was in fashion when I was in highschool, meaning before 2006. So either it's not 2015 or he's fashionably out of date.
UPDATE: If you look at the description of the video you checked the date of, it says "This recipe is from Jamie's 30 Minute Meals TV series first aired on Channel 4 in 2010". So if this video is from 2010-ish, it makes more sense. Googling some more I found out it was S01E02, so def 2010 original release, at least for TV.

    • @Meecheer
      @Meecheer  2 роки тому +3

So his fashion sense is still out of date

  • @ClaudiaNW

I think the Jamie Oliver video is actually a lot older than 2015. It was uploaded to UA-cam in 2015, but I think he just re-used an old clip from Jamie's 15 Minute Meals (which I remember seeing years ago) and put it on his UA-cam channel.

With a first pet snake, you're probably gonna end up with a ball python, hognose, corn snake, Cali king snake, house snake, rosy boa or sand boa. These are your typical beginner snakes. But I'm personally not a fan of "typical", you see, and I love Aussie pythons. Actually 3 of my snakes are different species of Aussie pythons... Snakes don't get more sweet natured than Bredl's Pythons, but these probably get too big. But Antaresia genus pythons - Children's Python, Spotted Python or Pygmy Python - don't, they've got all the amazingness of pythons but in a pocket size package, and they've got the signature look of Aussie pythons I personally absolutely love!
Anyway, okay, okay, I'm subbing rn!
