Great vid. Better wheels, tpu tubes, conti tires and a ceramic BB will make a world of difference. You certainly know your meat and potatoes and how to dish em out to perfection. Great advice and worth following every step. Thanks
I'm getting sick and tired of people forgetting that lighter bikes accelerate faster out of a corner. As a crit racer on mostly flat courses, people always seem to forget that a lighter bike is not just for climbing but it saves watts out of each corner which is especially good for tail gunning in a race.
@@66mikkim exactly, that's why Chinese wheels are taking over the wheelset market because they offer aero wheels at lighter weights than western brands. There are wheelsets for under $2k that are 1200 grams or less.

Is true that a butyl tube will possibly pop if your set up is rim break because of the heat friction it creates while breaking, Especially going down hill?
the really lightweight tpu tubes have warngings saying due to high heat they can pop, i have never heard of this or seen it but maybe because people take the warning serious
Is the 34T rear cog for the occasional bridge you have to cross lol?! With that OSPW you'd surely need a longer chain on a conventional groupset in case you went biggie-big, lucky with Di2 it should prevent cross chaining to that extreme being programmed into the system?

Thanks great info and is the link you have to buy the bike is bike online correct? Are there a good legit company I've never bought online from them before?
So I was seriously looking at upgrading to TPU tubes, but when I went into a LBS, the guy there said he has seen overwhelmingly negative experiences with them. He said they seem to get more positively rated online, whereas more than half of the TPU tubes he sees people use end up developing flats around the stem. I was initially kind of excited about the idea of such a light and compact tube, but he sort of put me off of it. Any thoughts on that? I get being cautious because they're so much more expensive than butyl, but was he perhaps being overly negative?
The stem of TPU Tubes are fragile. You must really be careful installing them and with pumping air into them especially if you're using hand pumps. Nonetheless, they are great. I use them right now with Vittoria Rubinos, the one that are stab proof and then bought some tyre liner to put inside as well to ensure that it's not gonna get stabbed. Punctures is the only issue i have had with them so far.
Holy shit 8.3 kg after those upgrades 😨 There’s no need for disc brakes in Florida, rim brake TCR, 11-28 cassette, same wheels could get close to 7 kg with light finishing kit. Maybe an idea for another build.
