- Gross horsepower is nothing without a solid chassis. And I'm not talkin about just going straight, I'm talkin corners.
A lil short, random install of Cusco parts in addition to the existing Perrin, Beatrush, Whiteline, and Torque Solution bits. Looking to upgrade to HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers very soon, as the Swift Spec R springs with OEM struts have begun to show its limits. Alot more coming for the car. Enjoy!!
In the meantime, follow me on Instagram: @joe_art15an for updates and shenanigans.

Excellent editing work and hilarious cues. Most importantly, solid choice on chassis upgrades. Looking forward to your review!
David Massey Thanks!!
Nice upgrades and the car sounds amazing
2 years + late to the party, but this is how every install tutorial should be. 10/10 my dude.
Honored. Thank you!
Love the way the turbo sound bro
Awesome video OCTURBOJOE! , those facial expressions are hilarious
Lmao the ending
Awesome man. Love the car. Bet it handles even better now. I miss hearing the BOV and turbo like that on my STI kinda wish I didnt go with an EWG
Blue STI It does handle better. Way more balanced than before. I wish I had an EWG, better boost control.
Awesome video….the editing reminds me of Evil Dead 2!!
killer smile!! love it. subscribed
Sounds amazing
Just found your channel, subscribed!
Lol, thanks!!
Nice install! I'm trying to figure out if the floor brace also fits the 2015 WRX chassis, I would assume so, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer. I'd hate to buy and ginuea pig it out, but I just may have to...
Cool cool!!
Sneezus that sounds so good from the inside, get some drive by shots
Randy Santos Thanks. Yup, working on it.
Amazing car bro, it sounds crazy!!! Are you from Oahu?? I live on the island
Thanks, yes.
So much turbo noise thats insane
It's much more noisy now with an external wastegate.
"Like" clicked for that little smile
👊🏽
Always like watching and learning with your videos.
Great work OCTurboJoe!
Question, Do you have the Cusco Rear Strut Tower Brace with the cross brace?
I'm not sure if they both do the same or one works better than the other.
Stay Blessed!
Thanks!! You can only run one or the other. In my case, I run the cross brace, which has four points of reinforcement rather than two. However you lose trunk space. That's the decision you have to make.
@@octurbojoe
Did you lose a lot of space?
Didn't seem like much.
@@DjRuBSP I'd say 25% space, maybe less. Given the pass through is still useable with certain items.
@@octurbojoe thanks for your help. Much appreciated. Stay blessed!
@@DjRuBSP Anytime
Sounds amazing!! What blow off valve you running bro?
OEM bypass valve
Oh great now I have to order everything lol
Lmao
I had the same Cusco chassis braces on my 06 sti. Made huge difference
Farhad Liaquat They do. Feels amazing.
Hahahaha got a great out of this one. Great clip!!
It doesn’t seem you have a bov but yet it’s so loud... how you do this haha
Lol thanks. Got an external mic inside the airbox.
Did you paint the rear bumper when you added the vents? Or was the paint match close enough for you to just add them to the bumper? Thanks for your hard work on this channel! Its awesome!
Thanks! I had it paint matched at one my local body shops. Bought the base color and clear then dropped them off with the vents, along with my front bumper tow hook cap for matching.
@@octurbojoe Cool! Thanks, thats probably what I'll do then! Thanks for the quick response and high quality videos man! Keep it up!!
@@BradlehDadleh No prob. Thanks for watching!
i laughed quite a few times during this video lmao
🤣🤣🤣
How much did the items cost and how long did it take to install.thanks for your time and effort enjoy your ride.my 2006 sti all stock with stp eccessaries
Piri Hern Easily over $1K
Waiting to see the clutch install video
Nick Orozco Won't be for a while. But you'll see alot of cussing.
Hey Joe! I'm getting a new 2020 STI and I want to sturdy up the chassis. I'll just be doing the daily "spirited" driving thing. What would you recommend for good daily driver support?
Sway bars w/endlinks, underfloor Cusco stuff, in addition to tires will definitely increase the handling response. If you do coilovers, I suggest adding the Whiteline roll center kit dial out bump steer since you will be altering the suspension geometry.
Hey Joe, is the difference highly noticeable? Is the chassis more responsive and roll/flex less? Who did you buy them from?
Lightning Slow Yes, big difference. Especially with the power floor brace from Cusco. I wanted more oversteer so I got a Perrin 25mm sway bar set to its highest setting, coupled with endlinks and Torque Solution sway bar L brackets. I left the stock front 24mm sway bar alone but installed Perrin endlinks as well as well as Superpro bushings. The Cusco and Beatrush rear subframe braces totally made the rear more predictable. Whereas the floor and front subframe/control arm braces, plus the Cusco rear X bar and Tanabe front strut tower bar give you razor sharp response. I also got a Whiteline Roll Center kit to dial out unpredictable toe deflection while cornering due to lowering. That also helped. I just need coilovers for soaking up the road, the stock suspension feels overdamped.
Lightning Slow I bought them from all over. Shipping was a pain in the ass...
Also, keep in mind that I have other bushings and mounts upgraded so your results may vary.
Do these fit in a wrx?
Hey I have a question what torque spec did you use for the long Cusco brace for the Alin bolts I’m going to do an install tomorrow so just want to know please.
Good and tight.
😂 awesome I did the same I did most of everything bracing wise I had to send three parts back when I seen that the gr power brace fits nicely on yours so thanks for that 🙏
Who makes the front canards and rear fender vents?
Chris Tokarski RPG Carbon. It was meant for the GD chassis but I nodded it to fit the VA. The rear vents are from OLM. Bought it bare and had it painted, right before Subispeed sold the paint matched ones. What timing lol.
Hello. I’m curious if you had any issues with your swift lowering springs and if so what was it? Thanks
Ended up being way too bouncy. Installing Swift springs pushes the OE dampers to their highest limit. I eventually swapped them out for HKS Hipermax IV GTs.
@@octurbojoe thanks so much. The roads in my area are garbage so a bouncy ride would be terrible. I’ll save for coil overs. Thanks again
Whats the model number on the floor brace ?? 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🔥🔥🔥
692 492 C
What's good OCTuborJoe?
What brand and spec of sway bars do you have installed?
I have a Perrin 25mm adjustable rear sway bar set to full stiff. Up front, I have the stock 24mm sway bar with Super Pro bushings. I just recently received an Eibach 25mm adjustable sway bar that I'll be installing soon. It currently feels great on corner exits and but I'd like more response during corner entry to balance it out. And since the rear is super stiff, I'm thinking of dialing it back one notch because at certain corners, it feels like a solid rear axle, which I don't like.
@@octurbojoe thanks for the info.
I will do as much research as possible before i make a decision on make and size. Thanks again.
Does your trunk cross strut brace makes squeaking noises? Mine does! Any advise? Thx
Mine did for a short time until loosened and retightened the hardware. I guess the chassis had to settle a little.
@@octurbojoe thank you
this guy is funny asf hahhahaha
kuya what does that do?? sorry im new on subaru cars
Keeps the car's chassis from flexing torsionally so that the suspension stroke isolated, and can work more effectively.
Could anyone list this parts, very interested in doing something that that to some degree
Looks like most of it is the Cusco Brace Yo Self Kit.
Lmfao....ohhh its you
