Thank you for this awesome video of one of my favorite cars! When I got out of the Army in 1962 I had my heart set on a 1956 DeSoto, two-tone blue hardtop for $900 - more money than I had to spend. My Dad had a 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan (Clonial White and Grey) he offered to sell me for $600, I was thrilled to have such a nice car. Almost Identical to your "Lemonade" Ford! It had a Fordomatic transmission, padded dash, the Delux AM radio, Power Steering, and manual brakes that never seem to work that well. This video really brought back good memories - the wrap-around windshield and the view over the hood look so familure. An outstanding restoration that deserves another Thank You.
She's beautiful ❤❤❤
Great video Chuck 🙂👌 beautiful car
Very nice car ,thank you brings back memories .
In 1956 My Dad bought a new '56 Fairlane Town Sedan in two tone Green. Car was equipped the same as this one and was a Ford of Canada, Oakville Ontario build. A week after its purchase Dad, Mom, my Older Brother and myself loaded in it and headed to Miami Florida for the Easter week and an extra week following. The dealer gave me a promotional scale model 1956 Ford 4 door Victoria Hardtop. Lots of memories in that car, no I-75 then.
It's a beautiful car, Chuck. Thanks for posting.
Hi Sir. I absolutely love the car, my dad had one when I was about 4 years old, I’m 56 now and my dad past on... take good care of the Fair-lane... lots of love from South Africa
My first car was a two door sedan which I got from my step grandfather, I think I was 12 or 13 when I bought it. it was a police car with a 272 three speed standard. The light blue ones like it had a high speed rear end. Thanks for the video.
Awesome, when I was 15 I bought my 55 Ford Fairlane 6o years ago, it was awesome. The only thing I find the 55 had more chrome than the 56, both awesome
Great looking car and you drive it so people can look at real car. !!!!!
I had one of these in 1963 except mine was light green where yours is yellow. Wish I had it back now. Had a lot of fun in that car.
That is one very cool looking car..
Looks great Chuck
Sweet machine!
a great gem !!
😍
Nice car I have one but custom
Lovely Motor. Not sure about the annoying furry dice hanging from the mirror though
Give a hundred
Nice example.
Only thing - I would definitely add power steering.
It's Easy to see why back then the women were Always happy to let the men drive. It was like steering an elephant with the bias-ply tires. Stone age, yep....
Why oh why are we always subjected to "snazzy" music in these posts. We want to hear the car run, shift etc. If we wanted catchy tunes, we'd turn on our own AM radio...
You are right. I have given up adding music to my typical car show videos. Sometimes the mic picks up excessive wind noise which means the (car noise) originally recorded has to be removed leaving no sound-this is creepy so some low-level music may be welcome. The real problem is that original music (e.g. Beach Boys) is copyrighted and UA-cam does not allow its use. And, “free” video music is crap-bang, bang, thump, thump, screech, screech. So, there is a dilemma, what sound to use. Got any good free un-copyrighted music I can use?
