The new Audi A6 range has just gone on sale in South Africa and the first one we've got our hands on is this, the current flagship, the Audi S6.
Sporting more aggressive styling, the S6 has been fitted with the 2.9-Litre V6 from the Audi Rs4 and Audi RS5, however in this application it features an all new electric compressor, plumbed into the turbocharging system.
Our video journalist Ciro De Siena takes the Audi S6 out to a beautiful part of the Cape peninsula of South Africa, near Cape Point, which is usually buzzing with tourists. Hopefully the tourists will return soon, but in the meantime there are some blissfully quiet country roads to enjoy.

This must be a fun car to drive, my new Audi S4 is a blast! To drive,so dam fast!! It’s faster than my A6 by far. Audi produces an amazing vehicles for sure, and so well made and put together. Fit and finish are so nice. Thank you Audi America

Thing is, although car prices in SA are seriously out of control,
most of our politicians will still be driving these mega expensive cars. While us normal folk can barely afford a bicycle.

Meanwhile over here in Germany, we get a 3L Diesel with 350 or so horsepower.

The Ford's Ecoboost does the whole turbo without the lag very well but with a less complex system than this. Everyone will tell you the 3 cylinder 1.0 Ecoboost behaves like a 2.0 natural aspirated motr and the 1.5 Ecoboost behaves like a 2.5 liter natural aspirated or even the 3.0 V6 of the 80s and 90s, i.e. the VW VR6 natural aspirated and the BMW 325i 6 cylinder natural aspirated. Downside is it behaves like them with fuel consumption as well...

331 kw, impressive. Center console, top notch. This over the E Class any day. Not sure about the 4 Series cause it's a good car too.

Alright a great movie! Remember the only problems we have in South Africa where I also live is the bribe and polis. Bud first I must tell that the movie is grate! Look here you spoke about the car we saw it witch means we knowit now. When I watch matwatson I always tellim heis special bud ithing you’re video is also grate and special. If you will remember I didhave a audi ones a a4 a s4 aa8 all kinds the problem is recall they break down and don’t work. You might note recall it’s ok. Beautiful car. But a 6 cylinder diesel makes more sense especially for the highway. The fuel consumption on this would be too much. On the diesel you can probably drive from Joburg to CapeTown on one tank of fuel.

audi s6 of europe with that 3.0 tdi are disappointing with fake exhaust and sound terrible and a vrrrphaa diesel at least we in sa have the 2.9 tsfi s6 and s7 and all new sq8 v8 tsfi and the sq7 which sound amazing that will come later this year but new 2020 and 2021 audi s models and rs models are disappointing in terms of vrrphaaness

That sound is no surprise. Like all cars coming out of Europe now, they all sound like a Dysan: either a vacuum or a blow dryer, even the RS models. I'll probably end up buying an electric car next, JUST so I don't have to hear these sounds.
Blame the soft limiters in these cars as well.

My dealer keeps nagging me to trade in my 2017 S6 to “upgrade” to this..I’m having a hardtime with the upgrade part..
The 2017 one is also faster😂 if u want to “upgrade” just apr stage 1 it
@@Fizzglg I already have faster, 2019 Tesla model X dual motor performance pkg, 2.9 second kind of fast, ev fast is real different then my S6 with launch control 3.7 kind of fast tho..my S6 is nice the way it is, RS4 or RS5 or RS6 isn’t an upgrade for me is my point..APR is legit tho..

Got a '18 S6 last fall..under 20k miles..would not consider anything newer due to engine change.

As I am never flying again until a vaccine for CV is found, this is a great family car to have instead for the long road.
