      I need them to make one where I can hookup an AMD Ryzen in 1 and an INTEl in the other instead of just AMD OR Intel. This way I have the Intel for gaming and game development and the AMD for streaming and video editing. I can also use both simultaneously with a GPU for cryptomining. the intel for speed and the Ryzen for the high core count but IDK if they make mixed boards like that... rip lol

    I know this is an old video. With that said, if your primary purpose is a gaming rig, a dual cpu system is not your first choice and shouldn't really be on your radar. However if you have a dual cpu rig for another reason and want to game a little during your down time, just know the limitations.

    What all this computing and ram could be good for, however, which is also important to the modern gamer, is video rendering. THAT takes up a chunk of time and computing power. Editing, rendering, and all that. It's not directly tied to gaming itself, but it is part of gaming culture, the ability to take your footage and turn it into a format to upload properly.

    There can be a small benefit in power consumption and modularity. The enthusiast PCs take up 6-8x the power consumption of a low-medium end PC+GPU. They also run at much higher temp during heavy loads. Intel processors are coming overclocked internally just to compete with amd.
    Instead two low power PCs could consume less and be better at multithreading tasks, while also avoiding thermal throttling. Consumer could purchase one at a time some parts. There would be performance loss due to sync issues but the freedom would be so worth it. SBCs are increasingly getting stacked, and maybe in future the demand will come.

    Dual CPU gaming would be used when running multiple game versions at one time. Such as Raid Shadow Legends running 6 accounts at one time. It would decrease your game load time by over 50% and no lag when you are flipping thru screens and stages in the game. I've seen one of HP's new system with a riser card that consist of a second i7 8 core cpu and 3 slots for ram. Not sure why a call center will need those PC's but they were designed for gaming with two slots for high end graphic cards. It was poorly designed for cooling I could see issues with graphic cards overheating.

I did mine some bitcoin with it back in the day when that was easy to do. And it was only worth about three cents a bitcoin. Too bad I can’t go back and get all that back. • @jackasshomey

    well thing is emulation software utilizes separate cores all together the best example is a android emulator called Bluestack's that requires at least a dual core processor, in order to actually work at least 1 core of your CPU has to be dedicated to the program and if you only have 1 core at your disposal your OS would litterally lock up due to the fact that it no has access to the CPU
    Emulation is becoming a huge part of today's gaming industry tho true no game will really need to utilize 2 processors these kinda boards with lower specs could be a route to travel for making a High end gaming PC from crappy parts, for example say you had 2 athlon ii x2 CPUs and you wanted to make a cheap quad core rig any athlon dual core is like 5-10x cheaper then a quad core of the same series in numbers i can buy athlon ii dual core CPU's for anywhere from 5 to 10 bucks a piece but a quad core athlon ii goes for upwards of 50-100 bucks still, if these boards came in lower spec with older series sockets they would actually be fairly useful for the gaming community because we would be able to cut corners on CPU costs then

I've wanted one of these for years and the price was right so I snagged it. Highly doubt even a machine that was built over 10 years ago will ever have that much power utilized at one time. Guess more of a vanity purchase.

    With the availability of 6-8 core CPUs dual-CPU workstations loose a bit. Also "gaming" is quite broad term - from 1080p to 4k or ultrawide, with or without streaming, recording - in those cases higher core counts are very handy... still dual CPU aren't needed nor targeted by software developers for consumer apps and games, but old Wesmere Xeons and some workstation motherboards are super cheap and you can build a dual CPU PC for the fun of it and maybe even use it for some processing workload.

    • @gnaurai6251
      @gnaurai6251 6 років тому

      Arma 3 struggles with framerate because the memory transfers are unoptimized(so you literally gain in framerate if you have higher clocked memory)
      By the way you really sholdn't use any AMD FX series CPU, they claim to have 8 cores but out of those 8 only 4 are capable of floating point operations(so only four of those can be fully used by 3D games) and even if you overclock them to 5ghz their single core performance is nonexistant.(single core performance is very important for games that can't take full advantage of multiple cores)
