I wanted to share another video of me installing the “Ley Locs” interlocking extensions this time on 4C hair. Like mentioned in the video, her crown and edges are thin but the rest of her hair is thick. She has 104 12 inch micro loc extensions.

I have never seen this technique before and let me tell you that your work is awesome it looks like it is a less timely install but with more permanently lasting results.

Wow her hair look REALLY nice, installation is a great technique too. Wouldn’t say they were micro locs though, more like medium. But she looks fab! Well done 👍🏾🇬🇧
Thanks! When compared to other locs they are micro sized. The locs are .3” locs which are smaller than the traditional small locs her parts are bigger in the crown to accommodate for the thinning 🙂

Technically this is true. Microlocks usually come in large, medium and small. Generally, large microlocks would number at least 150. But then again it's not an exact science. I think the general rule is that if the locs are thinner than a regular HB pencil, then they can be considered microlocks 🤷🏾♀️
@@hawtnsweet that’s how I look at it. All mine are like 50% or 25% smaller than Pencil

This is an awesome and painless way of installing loc extensions. I was looking for a way to attach curly hair to the ends of my natural locs to create a goddess loc look. I'll be trying this method for sure. Thank you smart lady 👍🏾

love this technique… i wish you still sold the locs… i just dont wanna make them 😩 but ill just have to take my time and make them then i hope to install in the next few months cause i promise its gonna take me for ever to make… cause im a little lazy 😂😂😂😂 but her har turned out great. my hair is thinning at the crown due to CCCA. so again thank you i know what to do.❤

Nooooooo because I found you on Etsy last night, and the ONLY reason I was looking at videos was because of you ! I wan't to change my loc size now(it's at a pencil size now), and I'm really debating on it. I'm glad I found you. A nice surprise.

I LOVE the technique! It seems the easiest and the most confident way to assure it is locked in and will not slip! Though I do not want to interlock mine, I am thinking about interlocking the install point and just rolling the rest of the growth from scalp - does that make sense and do you feel it will work? My natural hair may be about her length but I have relaxed ends. Do you think the install point will take on part of the relaxed hair or will risk breaking off there? I fear my new growth may not be long enough or could enough in some places. (Funny I don’t like the extreme coil to wear out but as soon as I started growing with purpose of locking they are more loose and very soft 🙄 where now I want the extreme coil for the extra hold.)
Lol! It’s definitely one of the most secure methods I’ve tried. Doing the palm rolls for maintenance will work fine. My favorite way to install these are with relax ends supersizing

Hey my sin is trying to get his locks back but his hair grow really slow. Where can I get the tool used for thia interlock method? Also Is this method good for regular locs or only micro locs?
This looks great! Can you please explain a bit about how you’re able to determine the part size needed for the loc?? How do you determine the correct ratio?
Its very simple method n quicker to install
I compare the density of the Afro part of the loc to the density of the section I parted out. Hard to explain 😪

I would add the extensions to the bottom of your hair so you would keep the majority or your length

Do this method reduce slippage, because my experience with crochet needling the locs can slip out.
It helps. On average I have less than 5 slip when clients come in for their next retie. The texture of their hair determines more

Hey!! When you interlock the clients hair and the loc hair together are you going through the extension knot or at you only connecting the clients end to the loose hair at the top of the knot i couldn’t tell
At the end of the loose hair right above the knot. The knot would be too hard to go through

I love this video and your technique. I have about 140 existing locs, so would that be considered x-small microlocs when ordering? They are smaller than the ones in this video.
