You always mention bullet train, but it is actually just a high speed rail.
Considering Laos is land locked the water based adventures are endless and it looks a fantastic country to visit. This video has wonderfully captured its highlights in the perfect way. It seems insufficient to just say 'thank you' when there are many superlatives that could be used to describe the stunning beauty of Laos captured in your video. Just to add, it is possible to bring a motorbike on the slow boat for a fee (at least the locals did it). 400 baht from Pak Beng to Luang Prabang, so maybe 800 baht the whole way, but again, I only saw locals doing it. Thank you so much for being my biggest travel inspiration. I just got back from Laos yesterday and I loved it so much, I want to go back again this year
The Laos series overall was beautiful and interesting. Laos may be the only landlocked country in the region, but it has incredible waterfalls and rivers as well as mountains and views overall.
Once again, we are delighted we were able to have you on one of our temple tours in Luang Prabang to learn more about Buddhism in Laos! Safe journeys onward, Paddy!
Your Vietnam videos were a big help to plan our December 2022 trip (we just returned). Now leaning towards Laos for this year and this was a brilliant intro to the country. Very saddened by the news of the dolphins. I was looking forward to that . Thanks again for all your wonderful content!
Went there about 9 years ago and it is exactly how I remember it. I do hope it stays untouched and quiet. The most peaceful place I’ve been to in SEA.

You can also fly from Thailand into Luang Prabang. I came back from there a few days ago, and didn’t want to leave LPB - I even cancelled my intended time in Vientiane (it was going to be on NYE) but couldn’t leave LBP that early!
I was so in love with the area as soon as I landed. Only one night in Vientiane and I had to visit the COPE Visitor Centre, about the terrible bombing and bombs which still exist.
Oh and right at the very top of the waterfall, there’s even a boat / raft which can take you 200 metres to the actual source of the water run itself.

Hi Paddy This vlog does show of the best places in Lao to visit, but a few points I would like to add. First is the place with the floating cabins is called Muang Fuang. It is also important to check the weather for the time of year you are coming as for good part of the year during the rains, some of those activities are not operating.

Thanks, Keng Khikhouay added to the todo list. I would suggest going to Phou Louey National Park as well, it's not really known, hence my video about it scores really bad 😂, but very nice Night Safari that can be done there. Also best to have a motorbike and do the Luang Prabang Loop (as I call it, or North-East Laos Loop).
