That big waterfall is epic, how about taking us to the next level and going over them in a kayak. I will be right there with you! That room was a bit scary! Who knows when they changed the sheets. Hope you carry one of those hostel bed bags. Very sad about the dolphins. Very enjoyable video Paddy. Looking forward to seeing what is next.
If your old Thai driving license didnt expire yet you dont need all the documents you mentioned in the video, just go to the land transport office with your passport and inform that you lost the old one and they will issue a new license....
Oh wow. Paddy, please learn from this and err on the side of caution. Falling asleep at the wheel is deadly.. I lost one of my dearest friends years -ago when he fell asleep and crossed over to hit a huge motorhome head-on. My first friend to die, and he took two other people with him. Since that time, Ive learned that sleepy driving is the same as drunk driving. I'd hate to go through that kind of shock and pain again...so learn from this and stay safe.
I saw you mention the falling as sleep in IG a while ago, wonder when it coming out to youtube. I am glad you are ok. I had that experience once when I was driving a car and it was really late. I was driving 140 km/h and I woke up with the end of the pickup car just right in front of my car. I was very lucky to wake up just in time, cut out of that lane into the next lane and double lucky just like you there was no other car around. The left mirror was gone as it hit the back of the pickup car. That was my lesson. Now, if I can feel that I really need a nap, I'll find the nearest safe area to pull over and get 10 mins' sleep. That 10 mins' sleep can give me another 3 hours' drive easily. 😆 Can't wait for your next adventure.
Get lost in Laos 🇱🇦… Amazing scenery and a fun and very enjoyable Vlog. Recommend you now chill out and recharge the batteries for your next level adventure . I personally have truly enjoyed your travels in Laos . Thank You 🙏
First of all Paddy, this segment of the adventure was fantastic and I appreciate your time and effort to do this for me and all of your viewers. Laos is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Second, I know your are somewhere tucked away or just finishing a tour to Koh Samui right now. That is on my list and has been for sometime. I think when I come back to Thailand soon that is a part of my plan. Finally, whoa.. So glad you were not injured in that incident. I am expecting to see my mate Paddy for many years to come bringing us visions or beauty and views of landscapes we may not otherwise get to see but through your eyes. And of course a place to visit somewhere in rural S.E. Asia with little Paddy's and Miss P's running around!
Paddy - I have truly enjoyed your work ever since you were with the Budgeteers. Please don't die! Going through rural parts of a country, staying at modest accommodations, and discovering things like this incredible waterfall are all reasons why I love being a subscriber. Lost in Laos was an epic series and I am excited to see your adventures in Cambodia! I went to both countries on the same trip in 2012.
Another great adventure and breathtaking landscapes ! You do need rest. And this period of the end of the year will do you a lot of good. Thank you Paddy
Ohh Paddy ! 🥰 Woow Don Det and the 4000 islands ! - this is my fav place, and the most fascinating in Laos in my opinion - there is a great story behind the falls.....The Intro is mindblowing beautiful, your footage is mesmerizing ! Happy happy travel with you Paddy and very adventerous 💝🍀Stay happy in New Year and safe travel with good Zelda !
Thank you for showing us the beauty of Laos. Be safe out there. As we are counting down the hours here in Michigan, sending you and Ms.P good health, love and success. Let’s all walk into the new year! ❤
Very good thanks. Wart's and all. Long straight roads going slow are the worst. Your mind wonders and you have time to lose concentration. Looking forward to the next, Next Level.
Another completely awesome series - Thank you for your hard work & dedication Paddy; each video is always an utter delight. Your honesty is great & keeps the adventures vivid, but do take care - as a long distance biking lover, I too have nearly fallen asleep at the bars & yes it was massively scary! Great decision to rest & do fewer miles in a day. Your videos will still be awesome 🙂
Hiya Paddy, you got on that boat/crate with ease. Lol. Love your adventures. Good to see you chilled out. And meeting up with people your age. Wow. Waterfall. Epic. That is so sad. How we affect wildlife. Very sad. You're a legend. Traveling solo. And all the issues you have had. OMG. Paddy. Glad you stopped, Slap. Slap. Luckily you were ok. Happy you are back home. I hope you rested. Your hardcore. Merry Christmas. x
Great music! Great episode! Gorgeous pictures and editing! Thank God you're alive. That happened to me once while driving a car on a long, very straight, boring highway, Sure gave me a jolt! Whew! Makes a lost wallet issue feel a wee less significant. Rock on, take care, be well, thank you! dcb
Hi Paddy! I came across your channel because I am getting ready to visit Laos for the first time in a few weeks! I really enjoyed this Laos series and it's been super helpful and informative. I really like your laid back and go with the flow personality and these were so enjoyable to watch and def had me laughing out loud at some parts. So sorry you lost your wallet, I would have had a mental breakdown, but I am sure you'll get it all sorted out. Glad you made it through the country safely and hope you get some much needed rest before your next adventures. Looking forward to watching more of your content! Blessings for the USA!
Wow, I'm glad you got your scare without serious damage. Laos is wonderful. Thank you for continuing to provide amazing beauty. Is it confusing to switch driving sides?
Hi Paddy. I'm glad you're OK. Get your headset working and learn Thai, talk to Siri or something interactive. I think in Cambodia you can't have your headlights on during the day time unless you're military or Government.
Driving while this tired is much worse than driving drunk. Glad you woke up. Take care and yeah, slow down and keep making these videos! As beautiful as Loas is and I'll definitely be there in a few months, that sign saying "Welcome to Thailand" has to warm your heart and bring out a deep seated smile.
It´s a miracle that some major broadcasted travel channel hasn´t scooped you up yet. You have just the right appeal and personality for that! Really really enjoying my thailand travel preparation on your channel.
Just starting the video at the part where your hoping for dolphins. I actually saw them when I went. Did a kayak trip to see them. Hope you see them too. Cheers.
Paddy, very glad you are still with us! I've also dozed off on a motorcycle on straight boring stretches on the autobahn. Very scary I was also driving while exhausted. Your production, drone shots, and acting/narration have become very professional. I assume you are back in BKK and had a nice new year gathering with your friends. Happy New year Paddy, looking forward to your next adventures. Stay safe! If you ever need shelter in Khon Kaen or Samui let me know.
Thank you very much for these beautiful pictures of Laos's landscape. And be very very careful while driving. We love you and want to continue the Adventure with you, safe ans secure 🤟
I've fallen asleep like that while going fast downhill on a road in France. It was crazy. I had to stop for ten minutes to try to wake up. Finally I came around. Gotta listen to your body.
Hi paddy, Laos series was awesome. so informative and adventurous. I enjoyed it a lot. It was unfortunate that you lost your wallet and last day tragedy. Looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks. Love from India. Kiran oza
thanks for showing us laos , its a very nice country and very well presented. hatts off....... and dont make falling asleep while driving a bigger thing than it is. just focus on the many nice things you live thru. i,m looking forward to cambodia ...hmm thinking of kim wild ..
Great Part I or L3! Loved every episode. I can't believe you added Cambodia without much rest. Glad to hear thought that you are making some changes and are planning to take things easier and more sustainable. Much love.
Hope you are feeling better and wish you good health and good things to come this new year. Thank you for visiting Laos and hope you will be back soon. All the best!
Holiday stuff has gotten me behind in videos.... I am so glad that you did not get into trouble when you drifted off to sleep whilst driving.... So so scary. Laos has been beautiful. I look forward to seeing the next chapter!
I've really enjoyed the Laos series. Thanks mate. I hope you're feeling better and you take it a bit easier on yourself in the future. Don't forget to have fun along the way 🙏❤
Spot on series bud, as usual. Good to see another North East lad doing well. Did S.E.A 16 years ago and you bring back the memories. Going back out to Thailand in October for first time since, now the kids are teenagers they need to experience it. Drive careful mate.
Thank you for showing us the best and most beautiful places of Laos, it was a great inspiration to go there myself some day!! Have a good rest and I'm (and many others) looking forward to Cambodia!!!
Love your drone shots here, so beautiful. We remember hearing the news about the dolphins in Laos and it was so sad, they still had them around 3 years ago but they disappeared fast. I think there are still some in Cambodia though, maybe you'll get a chance to see them there!
Love this waterfall. I’ve never been to Pakse and this waterfall before. Heard about it for a long, long time. Anyway, do get a lot of rest, Paddy. No need to push yourself that hard. Although we look forward to your next video, we want you to take good care of yourself.
Absolutely brilliant series loved it . I visited a village earlier this year and the people were so friendly. Need to go to some of places you went to . Cheers Paddy
I drove London to Denmark through Europe many years ago, & almost fell asleep at 120kmh on an unlit German road heading north. Scared the shit out of me & I've never repeated it. The 'Must get home' illness will kill you every time. Glad you are safe, you made the right call Paddy. Take care fella, regards Tony
Hey Paddy, I'm loving your work, from here in Oz. I'm a Scotsman and I've spent a while driving professionally here. Nothing can prepare you for driving tiredness, like experience, unfortunately. You have that now. So be aware. I have a house in Thailand, that I've been unable to visit during the last few years. Your vlogs and that of others have kept me in touch with my spiritual home. Keep on doing your thing mate. Thank you.
Loved every minute of the series Paddy, well done....Look forward to the next adventure...Good news for me , I arrive back in Thailand on the 21st Jan.... and restart my adventure in Thailand......
I've fallen asleep driving before, luckily no accident and I was able to pull over but you're right, it's such a weird experience and before it happens to you, you can't understand how it could happen but it does. Glad you're ok, looking forward to the next instalments.
Im watching this Laos series in 2024. Ive only been to Luang Prabang but watching your videos made me realize I should go back and explore more. Laos is amazing! Thank you so much!
Have a word with yourself, Paddy! No more riding when you’re tired. I look forward to you videos as much as the next guy, but I’m willing to wait a bit longer so you can have a rest. I can’t live vicariously through your videos if you’re dead in a ditch. 😂. But seriously, make sure you’re well rested before you have a long ride, and no relying on a strong coffee or a bottle of M-150. Stay safe.
New subscriber to your channel, watching your video of Don Det brought back lots of really good memories of my 5 week solo back trip i was supposed to stop for 2 days and stayed 4 because i loved it so much and went to the little beach by the water fall. Looking forward to watching more of your videos
Wow! Your series was awesome! I am surely happy that you are OK. There is no better wake-up call then to,by the grace of God, be jarred awake from a near-death experience. I look forward to your Cambodia series. Relax and recoup. May 2023 be hopeful and inspiring to you.
Just recently found your site and truly enjoy your approach to vlogging. Truly glad you're okay. In 2007, I too had a blackout fortunately in a car on a major US HWY - 30 years 1M KM of driving nothing like that sudden drop in bloody pressure due to stress - fortunate to be here to see your adventures. Point is what you already know, that we must slow down, as they say smell the roses, take in the sights, and what is the Spanish say 'Tranquillo'. Look, you have to stay alive or 125k people will have nothing to watch. All the best and safe travels.
i have loved this series and looking forward to seeing the next on cambodia as i have spent a lot of time there and looking forward to seeing your perspective on it
Awesome video great series Laos is on my bucket list for sure - Really sad about the dolphins though 😢 and so glad you got back to Thailand safe - rest up and I really look forward to the Cambodia leg of the series 😀
Wow Paddy, I have experienced a micro sleep whilst driving, after working all odd hours and it scared the shit out of me. Glad you survived. I have also been to Victoria Falls in Africa, and I can safely say that the amount of water that it expells is far more than the one in Laos. Take care....cheers.
Let me wish you a very happy and successful New Year and lots of beautiful adventures. I love your channel. The motorbike incident.. take it same me as a lesson tought to you by life. I experienced the same and thought same you that is not possible on a motorbike. The difference in my case was that Nann was sitting in the back. We both were lucky and I will never drive again when my eyes want to sleep. I am glad that we both could tell the story and I hope to see many more of your beautiful and entertaining stories.
I know. I had several times aften working I fell asleep on my scooter.. Now I always step off.. Sleep for a while, eat something.... But your motorcycle is going so fast... You did well by going to a hotel!!! People are laughing at me about sleeping like that, but it really happens. Think I am making it up.. Happily you are safe. I am not the only one.
Brilliant series, Paddy. I've been with you since Yala and I can't wait for the trip into Cambodia. :) You're giving me ideas for my next trip. :) P.S. And I love the way you include the things that go wrong. Very helpful and instructive to fellow travellers. :)
I have really enjoyed this series! I m very inspired to go traveling to South East Asia! The quality of videos you produced were second to none. Great Job Paddy. Question does Zelda have a clutch?
First up, so sad to see the Dolphins have all perished. Asides from that the rest of the place is just paradise. You are truly blessed to have the opportunity to do this now because I fear that in a couple of years this won't be something anyone else will be able too do
The content in this series is so out of place when contrasted with the series "now in Lao" so that it seems to be a different country. You put in all the touristy waterfalls and caves but you could take some lessons from Todd on capturing the real Lao and it's people. Still enjoyable for the most part.
Hope u got it all sorted. I lost all of mine last year. In Italy, where I live, u have to make a police report to get a new card. Anyway. Cheers from Bangkok! Look forward to the next series.
Thanks for watching this series of LOST in LAOS 🇱🇦✌🇱🇦 stay tuned very soon for more adventures ❤
glad ya ok Paddy, be carefu on the roads out in asia ok mate.. i live out in vietnam and as you know roads can be CRAZY!!
Enjoy a well deserved break 👏
Happy New Year and may you blessed with good health and happiness 2023
I love Laos!!!! I live in Isaan!!! Not currently though I’m working in Bydgoszcz Poland.,
ສະບາຍດີອ້າຍ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄປທ່ຽວຢ່າງມີຄວາມສຸກລະປອດໄພເດີ🥰💗
The production quality of these Next Level travel series for a one man show is just incredible! Lovin every bit of it ❤️
That big waterfall is epic, how about taking us to the next level and going over them in a kayak. I will be right there with you! That room was a bit scary! Who knows when they changed the sheets. Hope you carry one of those hostel bed bags. Very sad about the dolphins. Very enjoyable video Paddy. Looking forward to seeing what is next.
They are commonly referred to as Sleeping bag liners

Another great adventure and breathtaking landscapes ! You do need rest. And this period of the end of the year will do you a lot of good. Thank you Paddy

Your so lucky, I have been so tired while driving before. It’s so scary. Love your videos!
Thank you for your relentless efforts to get the best contents out despite the dangers.

Happy you are back home. I hope you rested. Your hardcore. Merry Christmas. x
Merry Christmas!!!

Since I am not a premiere, I have to wait to watch the episode 🤦♂️, hope you and Zilda are doing well.
Thanks!
Congrats 👏, I am glad to hear that you and Zilda back safely to Thailand ... 🙏
Been a wonderful and eye opening series. Thank you, take care and have good rest!!
Yes, brother, rest up!! And thank you.
Hi Paddy. I'm glad you're OK. Get your headset working and learn Thai, talk to Siri or something interactive. I think in Cambodia you can't have your headlights on during the day time unless you're military or Government.
Hey Paddy.. for your GoPro what’s your max iso setting? And are you filming in 60fps? Your footage is so clear

Love these so much! Also those mini 3 pro clips are looking sharp👌🏻
Just starting the video at the part where your hoping for dolphins. I actually saw them when I went. Did a kayak trip to see them. Hope you see them too. Cheers.
I am sorry about the dolphins. I just heard the bad news about them being extinct. So sad they are gone forever.
@@obiwon84 yeah it is a terrible shame!
I believe there are still some in Cambodia
Paddy, very glad you are still with us! I've also dozed off on a motorcycle on straight boring stretches on the autobahn. Very scary I was also driving while exhausted. For IRAVADEE DOLPHINS, there are the last ones left in Thailand for about 14 dolphins. We have tried so hard to keep them safe from distinction.

It's actually called the Four Thousand Islands (Si Pan Don),Paddy! The big waterfall is known as the Khone Falls.
Fab Videos !
Another epic series, paddy. Thanks for taking us along for the adventure. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Love your drone shots here, so beautiful. We remember hearing the news about the dolphins in Laos and it was so sad, they still had them around 3 years ago but they disappeared fast. I think there are still some in Cambodia though, maybe you'll get a chance to see them there!

Thanks for connecting your eyes to the world.
Left Don Det last month . Beautiful place ... sunsets awesome . Met Paddy in Ho Chi Minh in September
This is such a gorgeous piece of the earth. I must see this before I die.
So much of Laos seems untouched by the 21st century.
Loved this series !
Looking forward to the mextsssss🎉
Im watching this Laos series in 2024. Ive only been to Luang Prabang but watching your videos made me realize I should go back and explore more. Laos is amazing! Thank you so much!
You should!
Happy New Year to you & Ma Pee Paddy😘🎉🥳🥂❤️🎊🎈💋😊 Wishing you nothing but the best in 2023❤
OMG, I love your travel experience there and totally love your video editing, especially in Don Det 😍

Paddy thank you very much for showing us these special places🙏I’m travelling around Asia in a few months and these videos help me create my plan
Thanks Paddy, loved it, take some rest and see u soon
The river boat captain has the temperament a river boat captain should have.
haha true!
i have loved this series and looking forward to seeing the next on cambodia as i have spent a lot of time there and looking forward to seeing your perspective on it
Awesome video great series Laos is on my bucket list for sure - Really sad about the dolphins though 😢 and so glad you got back to Thailand safe - rest up and I really look forward to the Cambodia leg of the series 😀
They got everything in Thailand, the roads are nice and alot beautiful scenery too
Wow Paddy, I have experienced a micro sleep whilst driving,
after working all odd hours and it scared the shit out of me. Glad you survived.
I have also been to Victoria Falls in Africa, and I can safely say that the amount of water that it expells is far more than the one in Laos.
Take care....cheers.
Thank you Paddy for charing the beautyful county of Laos, I really want to go back. Happy New year and take care of you .
Thank you for the excellents videos. Take care Man.
An other great series paddy keep up the good work if you ever come to Non bua lam phu again I’ll so you around all the best mate
Thank you for this, I really waited for Don Det! I'm so sad to hear about the dolphins but it's great that it's been brought up to the daylight.
Question does Zelda have a clutch?
it's a semi automatic
