Great video Mattheww! I bought the InShot and have created a couple videos with shots from my Mini3Pro but still have a lot to learn! Thank you for an awesome tutorial!
Thank you! InShot is a great little app, and I find myself using it more and more. Happy to hear this tutorial helped!
Fantastic video, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial for the editing app, I have been looking for one for a while since I got my m3p. Thank you! Will download now
Thanks Matthew! This was my favorite of your videos so far and gave me the confidence to edit my first sequence of clips off my Mini 2.
My clips are a bit jerky, but my technique is improving. InShot made joining and trimming the clips easy.
InShot is super handy for quick and easy edits and super happy to hear this video has helped. Thanks for watching!
@@TheDroneCreative I only just discovered that The DJI Fly App has video editing built in, letting you trim multiple clips, add transitions and soundtrack.
It's not as complete as InShot but I didn't even know it existed till yesterday...💡
Brilliant!
Thank you - hope it helps!
Very informative
Great video, thanks
Appreciate the kind feedback, hope the video helps!
Ive watched everything you have already :[ I can only like one time per video. This is the live editing video with huge value. I usually use Epidemic sound app on my phone to download a track, and have been using the DJI Fly CREATE option to do all of my editing on the go.

Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Great video!!!
What's your pov when comparing InShot with Adobe Rush? They look similar imo.
I personally use InShot, but that's only because I am familiar with it and have been using it for a while. I think you can't go wrong with either!
I was in doubt if if should buy of not that app...you completely convinced me :-) Its so nice and convenient to have an app in iPhone (or iPad just noticed its works same way and a larger screen :-))
Matthew you are the best ! Thanks a lot for your amazing tutorials ! Cheers from Portugal !
InShot is a great app for editing on your mobile. Appreciate the kind feedback, thanks!
Saw that seagull going for you in the beginning. Here where I live there are Hawks, they always try to attack it

Matt-
Your informational content is DOPE, brother!! So grateful for the knowledge you provide! I'm subscribed and telling my other friends who are in the drone buying market to subscribe as well!!
Thank you so much - really appreciate that! This comment has made my night!
Hi Mattheww
What’s the best app for editing on iOS and for pc ? Thanks, very good tutorials
'leaving the drone in ohoh' xD
Thank you for this video. I'm a new drone user and was looking for a informative video on how to edit clips I've captured with my mavic mini 3 pro.
Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Great video!!! Some really great tips for composing the shots too.
I have a question - when it comes to editing on a desktop computer instead of your phone, is there any particular software you would recommend? Final Cut, Premiere, something else?
Thanks!
Nice and informative video. Btw, where are you from? I like the way you pronunce auto like "aw-oh" 😆
I LOVE THIS VIDEO 📹
Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
Awesome content! Say, would iMovie allow you to do the exact same results?
great stuff just downloaded the app gonna re watch your vid , one question though i like to use ND filters , can i still use it in auto mode
I have edited several videos on my phone with the dji app, in shot looks much better-thx!
Let me know how you find it after trying! Thanks for watching.
Your videos are so informative, I am a new drone flyer and you are teaching me so much!
How far out is that island? Do you think my dji mini pro 3 will be able to cope with the wind around the Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz?
Thanks again for your amazing work
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can you make a video on DavinchiR for Drone video also show how to stabilized the video
Thanks.. I bought Luma Fusion and later realized it was over complicated.. Just did a test run edit with Inshot, much easier/quicker.
Please make a tutorial on gain and expo settings for cinematic footage in dji mini 2se fly app.
Hi Matthew, another great video. Thanks. You have given me some good ideas! Thanks. I need to get better video editing software. I currently use OpenShot (I tried Shotcut but preferred OpenShot) because it was free and easier to use but it lacks a lot of functionality, so I will see others that are not too expensive. I particularly like cutting the clips to the beat and the sound effects. I need to start editing my hundreds of videos and making them into UA-cam content. One question though, how long do you keep these videos? I see you cut each clip very short but what is the average length of your videos?
Hey! Glad to hear this video has given you ideas! For the length it really depends. For social media I usually make them quite short, but if it was for a cinematic video on UA-cam then I would make the clips much longer. Hope that helps!
Another informative video. However, I think that you could make the end result even better by using a smooth transition between clips. I think that a harsh transition (as in no effects transition at all) can look jerky and unsettling, while an appropriate transition can enhance overall smoothness, and in my view, smoothness is king. The transition does not need to be much but it will make a difference. After trying just about every transition known to man, I use a ‘mix’ transition for only 0.5 seconds. The difference is so much more pleasing and easy on the eye. Many transitions can make the whole think look comical and amateurish, but the right one is well worth the effort. Please try using this transition between all clips in your video, I am sure you will not be disappointed. If you do, please let us know what you think. I use a great, free editor called CapCut, it is just so brilliant and versatile
CapCut is also great. I will try out the 'mix' transition and let you know. Thanks for the info!
@@TheDroneCreative Great. Just make sure you get the timing right. As I said, I found 0.5 seconds was about right, while ‘mix’ looked the best
@@TheDroneCreative Actually, just an update on this. I read the scale incorrectly, the transition time is 0.5 seconds, not 0.1 seconds. Sorry to mislead you.
It’s all about preference. Sometimes transitions make your video look great, and sometimes a more abrupt non-transition works better.
Hi. Love your videos. I can on this one to see how you shorted the music track. You didn’t say how you did it. Can you do a video on how to shorted music track. Thank you
Thank you! I absolutely can, thanks for the video suggestion!
Amazing Matt , can you show me the app for editing please
thank you for your tutorials, man! i missed it... how did you get that many short clips instead of one long one? can it be done automatically during record? or its done post record?
Leaving them in Oh-oh
Awesome video, will the "Inshot" work on Android? I have a Samsung Galaxy A51
InShot is available on Android, so you will be able to follow along! Hope that helps.
love your videos, could ou tell me in your opinion which you would think would be best for a video channel it is going to be about back packing hiking and wild camping so all outdoors I have a dog too that will be in the videos. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max which is amazing just wondered what your thoughts are many thanks.
Great video as always , maybe I'm being dumb but how do you get the clips on the phone ? Thank you Matthew
You can quick transfer them. Turn on the drone, load up the DJI Fly App on your phone and you will see the quick transfer option at the bottom left. Tap that and you can transfer the video files over quickly and easily.
@@TheDroneCreative thank you
Hi, after u made the speed ramp you should make the beat cut again? because the lenght of that clip might change and the cut at the beat wont be the same, isnt it? thank you
Hi, great video. Is this app better than Lightcut (dji app) thanks
Hello, thank you for your great videos. But, what to do when the front lens in straight away in fog when the lens is not towards the sun?
that is so cool. I’m a complete newbie but so excited to get going. This was very clear and understandable, but I need to know how to get the video clips off my dji into my phone?
Thank you! Working on a video demonstrating how to do that as we speak!
@@TheDroneCreative awesome. I’m a new fan and follower.
@@erichcollar9810 really appreciate that - welcome along!
love all you videos, so much info...BUT I would like to know how to slow down the speed in which the machine moves left and right...I feel when using the right stick and moving it left or right the reactions are to sharp for my liking....I would like a slower response from the drone, any info please
Hi Matthew, your work is amazing and thank you for the tips! Do you also use Inshot to edit your UA-cam videos?
Thank you! I use InShot for most of my Instagram content, but for my UA-cam videos I use Premiere Pro.
@@TheDroneCreative thank you! Also when the footage is saved to your phone and then transferred to the app does it compress the quality at all? Do you shoot in jpeg or jpeg + raw?
@@mrs.samantha.talbot If you use quick transfer the quality won't be compressed. I also shoot in jpeg + raw as I edit my photos in Lightroom and raw gives you much more flexibility.
@@TheDroneCreative this is so helpful, thank you! Looking forward to your next video.
Hi Matt. I’m a new drone user & a stills photographer looking to get into drone photography. I love the idea of editing on my phone as I intend taking the drone away with me on holidays. My question is, how did you get the video files from your drone to your phone. I might add that I’m old as well as old school so not very tech savvy and so would appreciate all the help I can get. I have watched a couple of your videos and am now a subscriber. Cheers.
Craig Byrne.
Hey, thank you for taking the time to comment. I have just filmed a video on how to get the video files from your drone to your phone. Keep an eye out for that this week. Thanks.
Thank you very much Matthew for your knowledge and the infos that you share with us.
I've noticed, that when I upload my clips in the InShot app, there is some jerkiness, not in all of them but in some, usually in orbit movement, although that I'm try to be super smooth, even when I'm moving around the object super slow. My memory card is Scandisk Super extreme pro.
Do you have any recommendations to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance and keep up the fantastic tutorials they are super helpful...!!!
Hey, happy to help. When you open InShot, on the top right click settings, go to video settings, and make sure the "frame rate" matches the frame rate you shot the clips in on the drone. Hope that helps!
Hello Matthew Dose the rc controller work with the mini 2 dose the buttons work on it to
thank you for the cinematic editing tip. I will subscribe the InShot. I hope I can able to share this to my relatives. the only problem is it has too big of file to send to. Any tip how to solve that?
