Try Epidemic Sound With This 30-day FREE Trial - share.epidemicsound.com/matthewwbrennanJAN23
I am 3 weeks into flying DJI mini 3 pro as beginner, I have watched your videos every day! This one is something I was thinking about during today’s flying ! Thank you! You pointed right direction for me , Great tips! Many thanks!
Nice tips! I always try to fly following stuff and looks terrible! Makes me hate watching it back so thanks for the advice
Gonna try the trial of Epidemic sound, watched and listened to close to 10 of your videos today on the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone, prepping for a Cruise vacation in less than two weeks!!!
Thanks for another educational video. The winter in Norway drains the batteries quickly whenever you are out flying🥶
Always great tips anyone can use. Thanks Mattheww!
Great tips! Thank you so much. I really like the way you explain everything and showing examples. 👍👍👍👍
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Great Video Matthew thank you! 💯
Nice Video Mathew, clear and concise as usual. The old "less is more" theory, hey. Keep up the great work. Thankyou 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind feedback!
Nice video as always. Is it possible to make a video of tracking a car please ?
Matt, great as usually!!! But birds singing amid snow is weird:)
Nice one Matt, really good video. I must admit, I admired your manual orbit which is difficult to achieve, as I know from the many attempts I have made trying to get it right. I usually give up and perform a quickshot circle as a compromise.
Thank you! The quickshot method always works well and results in great looking orbits too!
I'm lazy I use quick shots and master shots for my scenes
Best Tuition yet!
Thank you so much Andy - really appreciate that!
Excellent video again Mattheww. What program do you use to edit your videos? I have Lightroom and PS for stills which I've worked with for many years but l don't have any experience with video editing. Thanks.
Thank you! I use Adobe Premiere Pro - highly recommend it!
@@TheDroneCreative That's great, thanks for the tip 👍
Thanks for your videos Mattheww, I do find them helpful, however do you plan on providing more content on the Mavic 3? Or do you not fly that as much/have ,more people using Mavic mini 3? I appreciate that a lot of filming tips can apply to most drones to be fair, so keep them coming 😊
Hey! Good question. I will have more Mavic 3 content coming out soon. I try to make most the tutorials using the Mini 3 Pro as they can generally apply to all drones, but I will have more Mavic 3 feature specific tutorials coming soon! Appreciate the kind feedback!
@@TheDroneCreative fantastic, I look forward them! I really do find your content useful 🙂
Excellent tips, Thank you!! What if you use the mastershot function, but take the total length (so the originals) and use them in your editing software.
This is a great idea. They could also be used alongside your own manual drone moves to create a sequence!
Very informative. Please make more learning videos. i got a new mini3 pro. I have a small question. Dcine like videos are not getting imported in adobe premire pro. It says it requires a codec called HEVC. Where can i download a corrrect version of that codec?
Amazing again M8, THX ¶ ; - )
Excellent video, a question, when i film in 4K 60FPS and try to edit the video, the playback/preview is very laggy, so i can´t even edit it, but if i film in only 30FPS it works fine to edit and playback.
Suggestion I came across on another video is to switch to H.264 instead H.265 when filming on your drone as the latter former uses more power on your computer
@4:00 even these jerky movements looked "cinematic" when the music started!!!
Getting my mini pro 3 tomorrow- does it come with video software editing ? I have luma vision -
Nice coat. What kind is it?
I thought you were using arrlist before. Is one better than the other. My understanding of ES is you can only use it on one social media account.😂
Why would a video be too sharp? I dont understand the resolution is too good?
Hello, I have a few questions
When you said that the HDR format of 4k video records to turn itself on.
At 30fps or less.
It refers to the screen with the fps HQ mark if I'm right?
My problem is that on the screen itself and in each resolution/fps,
I don't have the 30fps (HQ) label?
So I'm interested in how to solve it... the video itself when I download it is not in HDR format and I would like to have the video in HDR
Does the color of the profile matter? or something else
I would like an answer from someone who knows, thank you 😀😀
How many batterys do you carry with for Mini 3 Pro?
I always take 3 batteries when out flying. Sometimes I don't use them all, but if it's windy or the location is super interesting having 3 really allows lots of time to record!
Your DJI mini 3 pro tutorial are my goto videos as I struggle to learn how to create interesting content. You must have been reading my mind and explained techniques which I was struggling to solve. Thank you for helping me in my journey to learn drone flying. Thanks Matthew!!!
Really happy to hear this video has helped! Thanks for watching!
Me too! And I like how he says the word videos. LOL
@@michaelanthonyvideos Vedeos 😂 Thank you!
@@TheDroneCreative 🤣
I'm always afraid my drone will decide it just wants to go swimming when over water lol
ha! Takes one or two flights to build up the confidence but after that it no longer becomes a concern!
@BrandonsUA-cam mine never wants to swim, only climb the trees. Seems like they have character differences.
Great advice. I’m new to flying drones. These are simple moves.
This has REALLY helped me, thank you!!!
Good tips, I heard something about a mobile editor..which one did you recommend again?
I recommend InShot!
@@TheDroneCreative thanks Mattheww
4:59 make sure to keep walking/rising if your shadow is in the frame. Now we can see your shadow come to a stop and that breaks the illusion of your walk ;)
ha, eagle eyed! I know, noticed that too late. Was concerned my wireless mic would start cutting out if I walked further.
Another superb video - thank you!
Hi Matt 🤙🏼 How do u edit your videos ? What programs ? I see your sound editing program . It’s great. But how do you dry videos . I use iMovies but it’s kinda limited
Hey! I use Adobe Premiere Pro and InShot if editing on the mobile. Hope that helps!
Thanks sir for sharing this video..nice
Not sure if you have covered this in another video as im still working through them. Why 4k 30 and not 4k 60?
Hey Daniel, good question. Dual Native ISO which provides higher dynamic range on the Mini 3 Pro only works at 30fps and lower, so that is why I use 30fps. Hope that helps!
Hey Matthew great video ! Would love if you did a video on Epidemic Sound how it works and how to import it into your video software ..... unless you have done this already ? then please point me to that direction 🤩
Thank you! I haven't yet - but added it to my video "to do" list. Thanks for the idea!
Been watching your last handful of videos not sure if I commented but this was another excellent one. You have earned my subscription for sure thanks for the great drone content!
Thank you - really appreciate that!
What editing software do you recommend for combining the clips together like you have done in the video?
I use and recommend Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut for the mobile!
Fantastic Informationen ❤
Hi Matthew I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and your tips are absolutely brilliant. I’m just about to order a DJI Mini 3 Pro direct from DJI. Any recommendations would be very welcome. Should I buy the fly more kit? Should I add SD cards? What filters should I buy? Etc etc
Thank you. I highly recommend the fly more kit - the additional batteries allow for much longer flight time. Micro SD card is also recommended. I would get a 128gb card so that you have plenty of space. Hope that helps!
@@TheDroneCreative Thanks Matthew that's very much appreciated.
This is a great tutorial, thanks. I love your Ulster dialect :-)
Thank you!
Hi, fantastic channel. I've just purchased the dji mini 3. I have a youtube channel. I'm a a disabled wheelchair bound photographer and videographer. I was wondering if you could help please. How do I edit the clips? Do I need a LUT? Or just insert into timeliness and no editing needed. I have also bought some ND filters. Thanks in advance
How long do you suggest recording a clip to have enough length for editing? 15 seconds, more or less? Thank you.
Thanks for this video
I noticed on this video that you hand launched by pushing the throttle stick up and that left me with a few questions:
1. How did you start the motors just having one hand holding the RC?
2. How does this launching technique come into play with RTH landing accuracy later?
3. If you hand launch, do you automatically hand catch and if so, do you leave the obstacle avoidance on or off for the landing?
My friend used these sounds you suggested on Facebook and they were got copyright issues
hi Matthew do you do any 1-1 workshops in northern ireland?
Hi Stephen. I don't unfortunately - might be something I need to look into doing!
Again very good Matthew thankyou. Do you bother with exposure compensation while shooting in snow? with a normal say DSLR camera, the white snow usually underexposes the scene because the sensor sees bright white and compensates. I normally give it an extra stop of exposure which usually solves the problem. However this may not be a problem shooting video?
Hi Matthew! I discovered your chanel a feew weeks ago, and I have learned som much form you already. Thank you so much for sharing these highly educational tutorials! I uploaded my very first drone video yesterday - filmed with my brand new DJI Mini 3 Pro.
I wonder - in this video you recommend reducing the sharpnes to get the most cinematic experience in the videos. Will this reduction also affect the sharpnes in photos, or is it only affecting video?
I am not new to flying a drone, photography has always been a passion! However you do a clear and concise description, I was born in Guildford , Surrey moved to 🇨🇦as a baby but always give a Irishman 👍. Good job !
Chris Anstee wire stock here I come ! Awesome
Love your work.
Here's one that may or may not have been covered by now.
What 4k video editing software do you use.
I have a Lifetime Membership with AVS Video Editor - and I've really enjoyed it so far.
It handles 1080p no probs.
The newer versions support 4k - but man, a 5 min clip at 4k takes an age to load into the editor - and then it locks and farts around "caching" and stuff.
I can't handle it anymore.
If you could suggest some simple to use 4k editing software that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, it would be interesting to hear any recommendations.
I'm using Win 10 with a semi-decent middle of the road graphics card.
A couple of hundred bucks Software to fit the bill would be ideal.
Ongoing subscriptions - Neh.
I don't have the perpetual money-tree printer that they seem to think all of us have 😎
Hi Mathew, markymark here lol. Hope ur ok and have been enjoying this cold weather lol. Thanks again for all the videos which are all of benefit. Can I ask u why is it that when I go to download to trim my videos that it only gives me the option to upload in 720p or 1080p? I am definitely recording in 4k btw. Thanks and keep up the excellent work and time and effort yr putting into all of ur videos.cheets Mathew
best advice I have watched so far! Thank you
Happy to help - thanks for watching!
You have posted a 1 hour video few days back related to filmora tutorial. It was really good and practical but not i cannot find it. Please let me know if you have plan to activate it again.
Wife and I are planning a trip to Ireland. We’d fly into Dublin. Neither of us have been there and I do want to bring the M3P. Any recommendations where we should look to get a hotel and be close to castles and the coast?
Hey! I am based in the North so closer to Belfast than Dublin, but plenty of castles I can recommend! Dunseverick Castle, Dunluce Castle, Kinbane Castle also well worth checking out the North Coast if you can! Other epic places include Moore Hall, Dun Briste Sea Stack and Bertra beach to name a few!
@@TheDroneCreative heck ya! Thank you! Your country looks amazing 👌🏻👍🏻 Thanks for sharing its beauty. We are respectful people and respect the land we visit.
@@TheDroneCreative and sorry, you’ll see my comment on Instagram as well from today. Same question. Feel free to disregard lol
Curious if you have experienced a focusing issue with this drone. Bought mine and right out of the box it couldn't autofocus. When you tap on something it breaths the subject into focus but then it falls out of focus when it locks on. Seems like this has plagued thousands of units from what I can tell.
Really good learning from your vids!! I have never edited before, what is the easiest way for me do you think I can sequence some videos together as I haven't tried it before 😅
A really quick and easy way is using the InShot app on your phone!
@Mattheww Brennan
Thank you for getting back! and will do that 😊
I’m fixing to buy a mini 3 pro. Thanks for the tips you explained this in a way I can understand
Cheers so much that first clip was epic! I find a still camera boring and still prefer the drone or any camera to be moving along with the subject too
Thank you! Hopefully provides a little inspiration!
You're welcome anytime and thanks much they really do 😊❤
Sorry for my late reply just spotted your comment now
I didn't realise this is a rewatch ❤
I’m on holiday in New Zealand, would love to fly over the Harbour but the thought of it falling into the sea terrifies me. How do I get a ver this?
Good advice! Liked and subscribed 👍🏻
Thanks for the sub! Welcome along!
I think that you could improve your videos even further by including some subtle transitions. I always find a hard cut between scenes is a bit jarring. It is much easier on the eye if there is a (very) short transition between scenes. I use a simple fade and stay away from all the gimmicks. A fade of somewhere around .2-.3 seconds works for me. It just makes the result smoother, and smoothnesses is king. Keep up the good work. Your videos are always very watchable, useful, informative and mercifully, devoid of silliness
how long do you recommend making the clips, also do you slow things in post or just move slowly?
How low can you fly over water with a mini pro 4 ??? Some say 10 meters??
Awesome tutorial
Hello, please. I am a Mini Pro 3. When I shoot a video, it is divided into 2 videos. I want it to be a video. Can anyone know how to make one video?
I have been watching your videos and I can say that I have learned some tricks and how to use the dji mini 3 pro.
I would’ve liked to had seen the sharpness footage changed to less sharp ..
Matt, if you had to buy just one single ND filter, which would you get?
Hey, that’s great taking short videos but how do you put all those videos into one? How about making a video on how to do that?
Great video as always..Awesome tips..
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the super thanks!
At 11:22 I was hoping you’d get a little lower to show the tree reflection in the water as you panned. Maybe the sun would’ve came into frame. Well done 👍
Another great tutorial. Thanks for all the advice. It's been so helpful for a beginner like me.
You're very welcome! Thanks for the kind feedback!
Awesome. Learned so much and will keep and watch. Thanks Matthew.
Very nice clip as usual. Do you fly your drone in auto mode while filming?
Great tips, thanks Matthew for another clear, informative video!
Great tips Matthew! Pitty there was no snow when I was up there! I could not film much in the locations I went to due to high winds. It was sad, but that means I need to go back in the spring! Either that or buy a Mavic 3 :)
Now, in terms of moves, I am trying to perfect one now that I think looks epic. Think of an orbit but instead of turning around the drone is doing a "drive by" but turning the camera to keep the subject in the center. I still have not mastered it but when I do, I'll share a video.
By the way, I signed up for Epidemic sounds! My latest videos have sound tracks and effects from ES! If you like check them out on my channel.
Cheers
Enjoy your videos Matthew, a lot of great information and time saving techniques for a new beginner in the drone world. 40 years of photography and excited to shoot from a new perspective. Purchased the mini 3 pro, totally amazed. Any recommendations for basic editing software. thanks, keep up the good work. Rick
Thank you! I recommend and use Adobe Premiere Pro and InShot if editing on the mobile. Hope that helps!
This was great thanks !!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
This is going to completely change my methods. Thank you!
Very useful tips my friend. Thank you
Beautiful landscape. Thanks for the tutorial
Good examples and liked the comparison sequences. Thanks.
Where’s that reservoir Matthew?
Altnahinch Dam up Slievenaorra!
Thank you Mattheww. So informative as always.
What video editor do you use?
I use Adobe Premiere Pro.
Great video, I’m binge watching all your content before I start flying 😊
I’m interested in trying out the sharpness reduction setting for more cinematic footage as mentioned. I’m just curious, does it affect file size of the footage? I just f hire if it’s less sharp it will carry less details. Thanks in advance.
From what I just researched, it will carry less detail. I was hoping he would explain more about the sharpness but regardless I still appreciate the tip as I didn't even know that was a thing and now am able to look more into it. Or maybe he has another video that goes more into detail about it. He did say something about having such for the noise reduction feature! Would be cool if he mentioned a link for that! Lol
thank you Matthew excellent advice
What was the name of the music site that was introduced?
Very nice tutorial! Thank you👍
Matthew really great as always. Bests from northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, David
Thank you!
Do you ever worry about icing on the props?
Another masterclass - thank you Matheww - I’ll try some of these when I take my Mini Pro to Norway next month. Now I just have to hope the weather in the Arctic cooperates - can you fix that?
ha, the weather here needs a fix too. Epic snowy landscapes but crazy high wind speeds most days! Checking the forecast way too much becomes normal as a drone flyer! Thanks for the kind feedback on the video, hopefully the weather is clear for you!
excellent tutorial Thank You
Your videos are straight to the point and very helpful..
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Always very interesting! Simple and inspiring!
Great tips! I'm a beginner and your videos have helped me learn a lot.
Really happy to hear my videos have helped! Thanks for watching!
