Made the mistake of looking away and not paying enough attention when you started talking about "these awful dirty balls" and I nearly spit out my coffee 😂
This has been great. Been using Oils and enamels for a couple of years and still finding new ways to use them. I plan to pick up some VI soon to give them a try.
Another top tier video. Love the villany inks myself too and I actually have the smaller bloodfiends x6 from Bestiarum Miniatures too! Would you consider doing a video around using enamels/VI through the airbrush? it's a topic that's really hard to find content on and I'm nervous about ruining my airbrush or the risks or using the same brush for acrylic and enamels. No worries if not though I look forward to your next one. Keep up the great work dude it's an inspiration!
Gunna have to start trying these enamels and oils. Starting with your tyranid tutorials Also, idk if you do requests but it would be cool to see you cover the Carcharodons in a grim dark style. Especially since their colors are usually such a light administratum grey type plus some whites and off white. And they love chain weapons so all this technical gore work too!
I’d love to see your take on thousand sons. They’re naturally vibrant and have warp magic on their minis which are usually colorful. That’s probably a challenge to make grimdark
I will use this same skin painting technique on my goblins from the goblin town box set (but without all the blood and gore). One other thing is, not really a negative, because your tutorials are very good and well worth watching. But it would be nice to know how you do all the different interesting basing techniques included with the videos. I am sure making these videos takes a long time, but it is just my thoughts. Anyway, thanks for putting out your videos. They have helped me improve with my mini painting. 👍 cheers!
Hi, you're absolutely my favourite painter in the hobby. I love your style and techniques, and they've been so helpful to me in my painting journey. The two armies I collect and play are Sisters of Battle and Black Templars. Would you be doing grimdark painting videos on those miniatures in the future? ❤
Hey man love the videos and your art style in general do you have plans on doing a “Grim Dark Space Wolves”? Or even better a grim dark heresy era spaces wolves colors?
Excellent to see you tackling the Beastiarum material Nate- been with these guys since they started, and they have been absolutely killing it the last 2 years. If you ever want to get into doing dioramas, these minis are screaming for that treatment. Do you use ever use Carrion Crimson through an airbrush? If you do, what ratio are you working with?-keeps either gumming up, or being way too translucent, I know it's meant as an effect ink. but it would be nice to get a fine, even coat out for once. Keep the golden content coming. x
Hey Nate, hope you’re doing well! I cannot seem to find your video where you paint three different colour schemes for flesh eaters. Did you remove it? It’s not the one with Varghulf, but with the three goons.
@@TheFeralPainter Wow, really? I’m sorry to hear, man. Sometimes it’s hard to understand how UA-cam’s standards work… tbh you’re the last content creator I imagined would be vetted! 😅 No worries, I just wanted to paint some ghouls from the Witcher Old World board game (awesome minis!) and it came to mind your flesh-eaters video 😊 In any case, keep up your awesome work! You’ve become my main source of inspiration within the grimdark mini painting scene ! 💪
Now then! What printer did you use? I struggle with fumes/VoCs so the villainy inks interest me as being so pure - what mineral spirit would you suggest that is equally as pure as it can be? Mini looks great btw!
The grimdark style is poisonous, I'm definitely going to migrate to this style, because I think it reaches an art status that's impossible to achieve with acrylic.

Quick question unrelated to the video, where can I find a video on how to paint Lion el'Jonson?
There are loads on UA-cam

I have yet to purchase anything from Beastiarum, but it's a daily battle not to - great work mate :)
You can do it!
@@TheFeralPainter I've only been back in the hobby a couple of months, and I already have a small pile of shame
was this printed in 2 halves? that seem line is really setting off my OCD

You should do a Black Templar Sword Brethren Grimdark tutorial🙏
Im sure i will get to it 👌🏻
Good job you mansplained for us
No idea what that is
I’m probably an idiot but what enamel did you use in your airbrush for the initial shading pass? Was it Streaking Grime or something else?
Goons grime villainy inks ma brother
