I think we ought to be grateful to the wonderful person that uploaded this stupendous album! 4 persons on stage and the music transports you- if this is Heaven then I want in! Just imagine what grooves he would would be doing there !
I’ve just discovered JJ Cale and I’m 64 years old! I’ve heard his name mentioned in quite a few songs but never thought to listen to him! He’s really awesome and my girlfriend likes him too and she’s a big country music fan! He’s on my playlist now for sure!
I didnt know Christine played keyboards too, and quite well at that. Really nice to see her expressing herself more...she seems so shy usually. Bunch of songs here by JJ i have not heard before . Sounding good ! I can hear the same elements of style from him that I have heard before and come to love so much ! I think maybe he did get considerably more low key laid back later in his career. I especially like and cherish that I finally stumbled on to him a few years back now and that he has such a superb and novel playing style along with his great lyrics . Really a laid back virtuoso ! Thank you JJ for enriching my life ! RIP
I don't know why she didn't take a more upfront role. She could have taken the lead vocals anytime, being a wonderful singer/songwriter in her own right
Love this so much, nobody has got the groove like JJ, As a young adult (23) he is my favorite artists. Far better than any of todays rubbish they knock out
Yes indeed, Its 2023-Mr Cale surely one of the best of the "BEST"🎸..🔵's 🎨ist.. Legendary legend,-🕒Less! Through out the 🌎..🎶🎵🎶.. Continue to rest in SHALOM! "BROTHER"...❣️...

JJ Cale. - Thanks to Christine Lakeland - She's still finding unreleased music from her husband - please keep it up! Handwave from old fan in Germany 🌱🌺🌿🎸🎷🪕🎹
JJ Cale was designed to play a guitar. He bore into it with the fingertips of his soul. We all have blessed by talent like his. His voice lingers forevermore. ❤️
For me; this session is the best ever. I never cry but this.......sorry but this stuff was the raw and finest JJ ever. What an Icon. genuine, beautiful, natural.

Mark, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this gem!!there are people who cannot understand how rare this is, it is a video from 1986! with JJ CALE , my god that is why the existence of internet is worthwhile in my opinion.
JJ Cale has a sound of all his own that fits for many of us older blues lovers. I just discovered his music through his Escondido album with Eric Clapton.
And what a performance! No flashing lights, pyrotechnics or legions of sidesmen, camera men and sexy backing singers: just pure talent and understated presence.
The nuance Mr. Cale coaxes from his guitar(s) is truly one of a kind. No one else like him. I saw him live in Santa Cruz at the Catalyst night club with his mostly girl band in 1981. Phenomenal performance in a small venue.
One of my favorite musicians/producers!! A Genuine One Of A Kind!! Got to see him in a club in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 82 I believe. I think he had released the Grasshopper album just prior to that. But what a fantastic show. I only wish I could have seen more than the one time. Thank God for the people who post all these great concerts!!! ☮️❤️☮️
Wow thanks for sharing! I saw J.J. at the Cotillion, Wichita, Kansas 1979 and was amazing. J.J. so chill, everyone dancing, truly magical. Still listen to his music to this day!
Bought my 12 string in Wichita back in '85-'86 while I worked outta KC and I saw JJ the night before I left town to head back east for good but I can imagine just how chill that Cotillion show was!
Thanks for posting this show. JJ Cale is truly the Master of Mellow for anyone over 40. Love his tunes, his style, his whole persona. RIP, JJ. You are very much missed, but your music lives on. I play it, and I teach it.
What a great show! I've heard his songs but never heard him. Great band too, especially Christine on keyboards. Beautiful accompaniment. Liked the jazzy instrumental encores. Glad I listened to this. Thanks.
Love JJ Cale, just wish I could have seen him live. His songs made names for everyone from Eric Clapton to Lynard Skynard to Mark Knopfler. Such a simple beautiful style. RIP JJ!
