@ I’d say they go off of Butch and Jaimoe’s legacy more than Mickey and Billy, but yeah. That drum sound here is pure 100% Allman bros in their prime. Butch and jaimoe sounded like a freight train thundering down the track, and they absolutely nail that style.
The one thing i have noticed about Derek in all the videos i have seen him in it's not about him, it's about the music and the musicians he's playing with, a true legend!
Yes. So many all star line ups with Derek present, and arguably the best player there, drawing absolutely no attention to himself. It’s a little strange actually. Like having God in the room and no one notices.
Thank to the one who took the video with that long and still passage showing Derek at thé beginning of Mountain Jam. This is The perfect way to Show a Musical genius
This is so sick!!! As a huge T&T Band and Allman Bros lifelong fan, this blew my mind. Of all the T&T shows I have seen, never had this pleasure. They always have a surprise!!!
I'm a guitarist. I'm not trying to sound pretentious but I'm quite good and have played with amazing musicians but what these guys can pull off live is absolutely mindblowing. Ive seen many live acts in my time but TTB is the only band that has made me tear up. If you ever have the chance to see them live don't hesitate. Its a beautiful experience.
I am sooo honored to be able to hear this ambrosia for my soul. He makes this look so effortless and easy. A perfect example of someone who perfectly fits into their calling. ...like a perfect meal of catfish and other ethnic treats. Thank you Derek!!!!!!!!!!
That was 22 minutes well spent. To watch Derek smoke that guitar 🎸 with no use of his slide was simply Derek Truckerific. I so love that song. I hope if & when I see TTB again he plays that song for me. Passaquan puts me in zone of my own 🎶🎼🎵
If you're not dancing to this, you may actually be dead. Lost my mind all night, but this was pure 🔥 💃🕺🎸🎶🎵🌹☮️ Thanks so much as always for posting my live music life LTFP!!!
I think I could listen to this all night and never get tired of it. Make that guitar scream and wish it was still a tree Derek, you know you want to do it again.
Speechless. The music itself says everything that needs to be said. So the only comment I can come up with is - isn't he hot as hell wearing that heavy jacket? 🥵🎸
I saw Gabe Dixon with Loggins and Messina about 20 years ago on the Sitting In Again tour and thought keep an ear on this kid. First album i ever owned was Donovan's Greatest Hits (First There Is a Mountain) This is another level up.
Tyler is a monster on the drums. I never thought I’d say it. But, I’m actually happy JJ decided to move on. And I love JJ’s playing! But Tyler is on another level when it comes to improve and creativity.
good lord. It's all incredible, but I feel compelled to point out Gabe Dixon's solo in particular. He's tearing up that B3. After Kofi passed I assumed they'd never have anyone close to as good as Kofi on keys again, but I was wrong. Where'd they find Gabe?
Better isn’t the right word I think. He’s had 50 years of music innovation to learn from. Think of what Duane would be doing if he was still around. Man I’d like to hear that!!
Dickie Betts himself said that Duane and Derek are both great, from different eras, and shouldn’t be compared. Yet here you are. I’m just glad that Derek is keeping the ABB and other great music alive today.
Jeez man, those drummers go together like peanut butter and jelly. Absolutely locked in and bringing the heat. Fantastic chemistry.
They have Hart & Kreutzmann's legacy to inspire them.
The King is dead, long live the King!
NFA!

Oh so right... no Rock Guitar God posturing, no dancing, no "look at me look at me" crap!
I seen the Derek Trucks band back around 96-97’ and at his young age he was exactly that back then. He simply gets it with no ego.
An honor to be among the living to witness such incredible musicianship.
Thank to the one who took the video with that long and still passage showing Derek at thé beginning of Mountain Jam. This is The perfect way to Show a Musical genius
Such a treat when Derek plays without a slide!
I think it’s a treat anytime he plays and I get to hear him, slide or no slide.
And a different guitar to boot.
Best electric guitarist on earth
quintessential modal jam!
This is so sick!!! As a huge T&T Band and Allman Bros lifelong fan, this blew my mind. Of all the T&T shows I have seen, never had this pleasure. They always have a surprise!!!
6:25 a.m. and I'm listening to this. It's going to be a great day! Thank you TTB.
A living legend
It's wonderful that we can enjoy Derek's musicianship... and his wife's
Thank you for sharing with us
Matt
Hudson Valley, NY
Thanks for watching Matt!
One of our brightest players of this age. What's not to love?
How brilliant is Derek Trucks? The best in my view.
You have good taste!

So sick! Thank you so much. I miss the ABB more than anything.
Straight fire... and the reading of Mountain Jam... that was top drawer stuff.
Man, so great to see this band just get stronger and stronger - truly awesome jam. That middle section into the blast-off, damn.
Can you imagine growing up with the bros, buddy guy, playing with Clapton, spending your teenage years with jimmy hering and col. Bruce?
Just absolute 🔥😎❤
I am sooo honored to be able to hear this ambrosia for my soul. He makes this look so effortless and easy. A perfect example of someone who perfectly fits into their calling. ...like a perfect meal of catfish and other ethnic treats. Thank you Derek!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, an amazing rendition of a great classic Allman Bros./Donovan tune! Brought back many good memories.
LTFP! Thanks for sharing! You're a legend! TTB to save my soul for the win!
Thanks for watching Stefan
Musik und Musiker vom Feinsten. Chapeau
he is on another level, in terms of chops, mentally, spiritually, going to places i've never imagined in a guitar solo

Derek...and....what a band!!!! They're simply great!
It makes life worth living.
If you're not dancing to this, you may actually be dead. Lost my mind all night, but this was pure 🔥 💃🕺🎸🎶🎵🌹☮️ Thanks so much as always for posting my live music life LTFP!!!
Glad you dug it, Dylan!
¡ Placer enorme escuchar a Derek Trucks ! Que gran banda de excelentes músicos es la Tedechi Trucks Band
DT, One of the all time best
this is why I love music!!🍄
TTB is God. LSD saves!
NFA!
Was there for both nights so good !!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I think I could listen to this all night and never get tired of it. Make that guitar scream and wish it was still a tree Derek, you know you want to do it again.
This was a fantastic TTB show. My favorite of about 10 I've attended.
All of their shows are great, but some are simply transcendent. It sounds like you caught one of those.
Outstanding! I can’t wait to see them in 2025!
oooh enjoyed this sooo much thanks
Keeping the ABB fire burning!
Wow, what a fantastic soloplaying of a brilliant guitarplayer and it shows that he is actually the best!
If it's snowy outside where you live, go outside and listen to this, and the snow will MELT!
No snow here, but it melts my heart!
It was cool to get this to 666 likes, but it's crazy that there are so few people watching this master at work.
happy to be living in this era, the derek Trucks era!!!!!
Speechless. The music itself says everything that needs to be said. So the only comment I can come up with is - isn't he hot as hell wearing that heavy jacket? 🥵🎸
Wow is all I can say. Incredible. Wait, that's two things 😮😅 🎸🎶
I saw Gabe Dixon with Loggins and Messina about 20 years ago on the Sitting In Again tour and thought keep an ear on this kid. First album i ever owned was Donovan's Greatest Hits (First There Is a Mountain) This is another level up.
Well I wasn't expecting that! Everything as good as the version on Eat A Peach!
Maestro 👏
Derek rocks this so hard! ✨
I cant sit still when he plays..😮.
WOW! Let me get a cup of coffee, and enjoy this jam
Tyler is a monster on the drums. I never thought I’d say it. But, I’m actually happy JJ decided to move on. And I love JJ’s playing! But Tyler is on another level when it comes to improve and creativity.
I kinda moved on from this band because it lacks the improv that I'm looking for. I would love for this band to go the depths of Phish.
The GOAT
And migod, what a tight band!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Wunderbar!
Amazing!!
I know what you mean. But I love the snow !
Toda la banda es talento en estado puro y Derek es 🤯🎶🤯🎶
Sorry for my poor comment but I only wanted to say something: WOW!
COOL 😎.
Duane would be proud!!!!🎸
❤😊

Enormous natural talent. Is he reincarnate of Duane or is he better, even more capable? Wow..love just watching and listening.
Better isn’t the right word I think. He’s had 50 years of music innovation to learn from. Think of what Duane would be doing if he was still around. Man I’d like to hear that!!
that key board player is good!
ltfp with cc and ttb, time well spent!
Wow, how come the 335 now? Is his 61 SG for sale? Just kidding. Absolute Legend. Legendary ABB Instrumental.
he often if not always uses it for this tune, probably a tuning thing
Wow great camera work! Derek and the band were smokin. Was he playing that Les Paul too just curious?
Well, it's a Gibson, but not a Les Paul.I wonder if Warren has inspired him to switch from the SG.
@@bobbynoe1 He's playing a Gibson 335. The second guitar is a Les Paul. I was wondering if he played it or someone else? :-)
@@jimiplayscobo5877 On first sight it looks like a Gibson ES-330 with Humbuckers, but probably it's a 335 with a trapeze tailpiece.
🌜👌
Can someone be more in there element. i dont knnow
Donovan!
22 minutes of overrated nothing burger ....stick to slide
Dickey was a legend and Duane the best slide I've ever seen...
Go to bed
@autk If you don't like it, don't listen. Ain't no time to hate. Take your negativity elsewhere. ✌️☮️🌹🎸🎵🎶💃🕺🔥
How could anyone find the need to post that?
At least we all know you are nothing but hollow & dead inside. Thanks for cluing us in.
Dickie Betts himself said that Duane and Derek are both great, from different eras, and shouldn’t be compared. Yet here you are. I’m just glad that Derek is keeping the ABB and other great music alive today.
