I promise you, I did the same thing I was very concerned with eating healthy and exercising during the pandemic. So crazy I’ve been watching you since I was in college and I’m having a home birth and 39 weeks in labor today and literally just came across this while I stretch on my birthing ball. Love youuu
Have been living in the Netherlands almost my whole life. And seeing that a lot of women here focus on their careers in there thirties and start having children in their forties. So it’s definitely different in some European countries to be a mother later in life and most of the time considered to be very normal.
Doesn't the Netherlands also still have like the best birth outcomes in the world? Dont women birth at home most of the time? Im from the US, midwifery is so political and torn here. I wish we would learn from THe Netherlands
@@kaylaschregardus4062 I’m sorry I don’t know a lot about home birth in the Netherlands. But I know that women here prefer to give birth at home rather than in hospital. Let’s say that it is not seen as something special.
Right i also live in the netherlands!! when i heard mya was pregnant i was like omg yess!! i never thought that she was to old because here in the netherlands alot of women get pregnant at that age or in their 40s.. my mom naturally had twins when she was 38 ! so yeah it was kinda strange for me to see some people in the comments thinking 39 is old to have a kid! smh!
@@Onelovekeepcalm a lot of people thinking its too old are most likely from societies where they think past 39 is "too old" and don't normalize pregnancies and birth. I'm from US and this is very much the attitude. But I know age in a way is just a number. Doctors also fear women into thinking their bodies cant birth past 40, not true!
I’m so happy for you and Max. I have one child, she’s 17, and I wanted a natural birth but GOD had other plans, and I had to have a C-section. I was thrown off by it because it wasn’t my plan, but because I had a plan, and was prepared mentally, I wasn’t scared. I 100% agree with the head and heart being in alignment. When I found out I was pregnant I was scared, mostly because of other peoples horror stories but my great aunt told me that I’m strong, to just breath and surrender, that my body is made to bring this child into the world, and that I have all the tools I need. It was comforting to hear and it helped me a lot, along with my own research and being prepared. You got this!!! Your going to be such a good mom!! You’ve taught me so much and I’m 40. Blessings and Love to you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Me too!!! With pregnancy well with the labor bit things happen and you can plan all you like and I ended up with an emergency c section. What I found was how other mothers would stigmatise c section mums. Like having an emergency c section makes you less than a mother. 🤷🏽♀️
I hear Sweden is a good place for mothers as they provide maternity care. I hope your mom will be there with you or someone close. Congrats, Maya. Very happy for you and your hubby!!!!

I love that plug for talking to a therapist. I will most definitely need a therapist when I decide to have children. It's such a huge life/mind shift and I feel like people take it so lightly (or don't openly discuss how big of a life change it is).
Girl!!! You are literally such a beautifully stunning 39 year old pregnant woman!! I’m done having kids but may the Lord bless me with your skin when I’m 39! Amen! Congratulations on all your new changes!
I love your advice about having your mind and heart/soul in alignment, and getting your mind right and reducing toxic thinking. That is so true for everything in life we want to be successful at, including relationships, career, raising kids, building friendships, etc. Very happy for you and your husband 😊
This video. So good. My favorite line: “I identify as Christian although other Christians might not think I am.” So good. Same girl, same. We know the truth.
You are 100% right. My husband and I tried for yrs to get pregnant and nothing. Once the pandemic started last yr, we got pregnant. I had no stress in 2020 (condolences to everyone that passed and lost their job). For me, the pandemic took 10000% of stress off me and we got pregnant. Unfortunately we lost our peanut November 2020. Strees/the mind has alot to do with it..
Thanks for not mummy shaming women! I want a natural birth but I’m not against hospitals births, but it is all about taking ownership of your body, question everything and anything. You look so good Maya 😍 wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy and birth ❤️❤️
A big ole’ FIRM hug to you, Ms. Maya, from Alabama☺️You look absolutely beautiful & may God continue to BLESS YOU, MAX & your beautiful healthy baby to come. So happy for you🙏🏽💕
You are so cute. I remember watching you during your first marriage, you can tell the difference within your spirit. Your hair even showed the effects of your unhappiness and stress. Now; you are florishing like a flower. I'm so happy for you guys. Many blessings.
I am so happy for you my cuz had her first at 39 and her second at 41 both with no issues. I am 37 and I feel like having kids later is better, I feel like Im still not ready. Videos like this let's me see it can happen later for women who did not do it earlier.
Hey Maya! Ive also been listening to the Pure Natural Pregnancy podcast and it has definitely opened my mind to the idea of ownership of my choices and not being fearful. Ive dealt with a lot of anxiety in the last year but I must say since finding out I was pregnant, I’ve been so calm. All Glory to God! 🙌🏾
I'm watching this video on Sunday, June 19th, Father's Day here in America. My 35th birthday is this Friday and I've been married for a year. I have large fibroids and cannot have children...yet. You are absolutely glowing! To all the expecting mamas, All Birth is NATURAL birth, hospitals are perfectly fine if that is how you feel most safe. This new trend of shaming women who chose hospitals need to stop. I so agree with Maya on books and “gurus” being one sided. This journey is so special, take time to enjoy it, do your research no matter where or how or little one enters this world. Do your research, turn off all the negative thoughts and stories and do what feels safest for you. And that part about being lonely, that hit home. I will be checking on all my pregnant friends after my experience. Wishing you so much joy on this journey! You deserve all the happiness.
Ugh!!! Thank you so much for making this video. I was becoming so anxious about the idea of “being forced” to give birth in a hospital and not having the choice to do this the way I always imagined. Living in Alabama is literally so frustrating when it comes to home births, midwives, etc. But you’ve made me realize that I do still have some agency over myself and my baby. I’m so grateful to you for always being a light in the darkness.
Maya Maya Maya!!! Listen! The pregnancy glow is real! God bless your happy little family! Max!! You’re one lucky man to be baptized blessed. And yay Jackie!! Show Baby the ropes! 💜💜💙💙💜😘
This is so helpful as a 37 almost 38 yr old woman that's looking to have a baby soon. Shows me I have to speak into my inner hippie and assess by day to day stresses, i.e. 40wk etc. So good to see your face again after seeing many phases of shamless maya! Congratulations on all you happieness and milestones!

Had a Hospital birth with my son and a home birth with my daughter 3 years ago. The home birth was amazing! 14 hours but I was s in the zone it flew by. Little trick I used was 2 napkins, one with Peppermint essential oil to inhale during a contraction and one with Lavender EO for the rest phase. This helped me so much that I didn't need the gas and air my midwives had brought. The you connect with your breath you really transcend and allow the body to fulfil it's mission. Wishing you all the best xx
You are going to be a great mom, just be in each moment. And that soft touch that you can’t stand get over it because baby will be rubbing on you for comfort.

As some one who is currently pregnant and suffers from generalized anxiety, to any soon to be Moms out there anxious about being in that healthy headspace. I just want to share something my therapist shared with me that has helped a lot to remove that guilt of being pregnant and not having the best mental outlook all the time which leads to worrying about my mental health effecting baby. Babies born during wartime’s didn’t have any higher risk of birth defect or loss than babies born outside of war time, it’s okay to have mild stress, it’s not going to hurt your baby and the best thing is to not feel guilt about any of those feelings that arise during your pregnancy. I have found that accepting that stress and anxiety happen and it’s not causing harm allows me to let get of that space it alot faster and focus on my little bundle of sunshine ☀️ 🌞. As always, great video maya! Best of luck on your pregnancy journey Maya! This was a great video and I am definitely going to try the raspberry leaf tea :)

Things happen for a reason. You have different chapters in your life that are only suppose to be learning experiences. You are meant to be where you are. Your journey has been amazing to watch and thank you for sharing it.
It’s just a term, it’s also a fact that complications are more likely after 35. Does that mean you shouldn’t have kids after 35? Nope, but the medical side of it is riskier.
I'm almost 40 in (July) summer baby. I have 4 kiddos ages 19, 16, 15, 15. I was pregnant twice in 2020 and two miscarriages, one chemical pregnancy and the other ectopic at 7wks and that pregnancy was terminated. The doctor said both tubes are blocked, but I been trying since then and I want more kids and to be honest there's nothing wrong with having kids at any age. Age doesn't define who should and shouldn't have kids, have kids at your timing. God bless you and your growing family to be.
So encouraging to listen to you...it's feel good to heard all that abd specially that we can feel your peace of mind in your advices and the way you talk. Be bless sis I know God will provide for an healthy pregnancy and baby🙏🏽💞
Do you. Being "older" is relative and we age differently based on lifestyle choices. There are people 28 looking 48 and people 55 still looking like they are in their 30s. If you have eaten non processed foods, fruits, vegetables and keeping your liver cleansed you're fine. Women 45 + and yes, I mean into 50 have healthy babies. This age thing drives me nuts. What about the women that are in their 20s considered infertile. It seems to happen that way. Women with a great heart don't get pregnant in their "oops" relationship(s) but with the one that's meant to be their child's father. Congratulations!
"Women with a great heart don't get pregnant in their "oops" relationship(s) but with the one that's meant to be their child's father." dumbest nonsense I have read all week and it's a Friday!
CRAMPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IS SERIOUS PAIN. YET, I UNDERSTAND NOTHING COMPARES TO THE PAIN OF LABOR. GREAT TO SEE YOUR DEVELOPMENT AS A MOTHER, AND GOOD TO HEAR AN UPDATE THAT YOU AND MAX ARE NOW SETTLED BACK IN SWEDEN. 🖤🖤👌💪🏽✅. KEEP THE FAITH AND THE POSITIVITY, MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I found that knowledge was THE THING that settled my fears throughout my pregnancy. People were quick to share horror stories which freaked me out so I stopped asking people about their experience and just focused on mine. I I wanted to have a hospital birth so I made sure to get fully educated on my birthing options, hospital options, etc. I went on the hospital tour of their birthing unit. They walked us through everything start to finish. I made a birthing plan which I shared with my husband, my OBGYN, and the nurse at the hospital once I went into labor so everyone was on the same page regarding my wants. I packed a diffuser and a radio (which I didn’t end up using but was nice to have). I do wish I read more about breastfeeding. My baby developed Jaundice which I later learned was partially because I wasn’t feeding her enough the first few days.
Hey Mya,, I have 3 children. 25,12 and 11 years old. I had them all in a hospital setting with doctors and nurses taking over. We didnt really have those options a few yrs. back like they do now. All my births turned out OK. 10lbs + babies. My suggestion to you is don't over think it. Trust me when labor comes usually all plans go out the window. You will be great. Our bodies were made for labor. All the best and kindest regards. 💙❤
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Maya! Very longtime viewer, and could not be happier for you my Friend. You are looking RADIANT Lady. All of this joy and growth is hard earned and very much deserved. Here's to a non traumatic birthing experience for you and baby. Your mindset is firepower. Your husband is adorable. Only the best to your family.
You should look into making korean seaweed soup. Super easy to make. It’s also a tradition to eat this on birthdays bc it’s given to mothers to nourish them after birth. It’s also reallly good.
🥺Our baby is having a baby y’all!!!! So excited for you two and you just seem so much happier versus living in LA. Also I love that you have a Midwife, especially being a Black Woman in another country.

Maya you are like an angel leading me throughout life lol. I’m due in January & here you are leading the way yet again. I appreciate you so much & all of the light you’ve brought to my life! Congrats and thank you!
Seeing this gives me hope. I’m 35 and I want to be a mother so bad, I chose to pursue my career first and I wondered if I could be still within my grasp.
You look so young and youthful it’s really encouraging to see you pregnant. I’m 26 and I get so stressed out that I don’t have kids yet because I do want at least one , I just haven’t found anyone yet 😣
Stressed @ 26?! Please for goodness sake, don't! Stress kills the body gradually. If 47 can have back to back babies naturally without IVF or any assistance during birth, then what? Infact no vitamins during the first pregnancy as God kept him hidden from everyone until around 33 wks. Keep working on yourself and stay healthy at all times and leave the rest to God.

@@Neide0310 I see
Right i also live in the netherlands!! when i heard mya was pregnant i was like omg yess!! i never thought that she was to old because here in the netherlands alot of women get pregnant at that age or in their 40s.. my mom naturally had twins when she was 38 ! so yeah it was kinda strange for me to see some people in the comments thinking 39 is old to have a kid!
Omg! I just had my baby!🥰 less than 2 months ago and I can not tell you how healing and how much this video has resonated with me. 💗🦋
Congrats on your new baby💜 Im due in Late August
Congratulations!!! I'm happy to hear you've crossed over and resonate with this video!
Is today a good day or what? First a video from Max and Maya and now one from Shameless Maya. Made my day😊
We on fire! Working side by side trying to do the most in such a hectic transitional time

Yes, beautiful Shameless ❤️🌺
And they provide paternity leave . Each parent 240days each per child☺️ mom of 3(expecting 4th) living and grew up in Sweden 👌🏾🤗
Had a natural homebirth at 41. Congratulations and ROCK it MAMA!!

This video. So good.
My favorite line:
“I identify as Christian although other Christians might not think I am.”
So good. Same girl, same. We know the truth.
I think it's because she's always talking about her zodiac...🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
So
You are 100% right.
My prayers are with you! I can only imagine losing a child.... especially that young.
@@poet82n Thank you! We appreciate it 🙏🏾🙏🏻
Sorry for your loss. You will be blessed again
@@electricbeing993 Thank you so much 🙏🏾😊
God bless!
My mom gave birth to me at 41 after 3 boys! I was the baby girl she always wanted! Sooo happy for you! Lots of love from Toronto💕
I'm watching this video on Sunday, June 19th, Father's Day here in America. My 35th birthday is this Friday and I've been married for a year. I have large fibroids and cannot have children...yet. Maya, you don't even know how much joy and confirmation this video is bringing me. Like I am physically responding to your video in the most positive way. Like you, I choose health AND joy, happiness! Thank you for sharing your journey and gems with us!

Maya, I am genuinely happy for you and Max. You deserve everything that God has in store for you.You will be at 2.1 million viewers in a few months.
You’re sooo beautiful Maya! Inside and out and you deserve allll the joy you’re experiencing!❤️ such a freaking light man!
Love the message in this video! Focus on yourself, your health and when you’re fulfilled things will just flow. 💕
This is so helpful as a 37 almost 38 yr old woman that's looking to have a baby soon. Shows me I have to speak into my inner hippie and assess by day to day stresses, i.e. 40wk etc. So good to see your face again after seeing many phases of shamless maya! Congratulations on all you happieness and milestones!
can we just admire the glow that is coming thru mama!!!!! yasss sis

I’m so happy your pregnancy is going well! I’m so excited to see the baby 🥰
Honey, I’ve been watching you for years and am so happy to hear about this new beautiful journey for you and your husband! I’m still super confused about the “39” years, I don’t believe you, but love you anyway 💕
Congratulations queen!! So thrilled for youuuu and your hubby!! 😍 I already know you will have an excellent birth experience 😘
I'm so happy you're back home! Comfortable with your support system at this stage in your pregnancy! 💖💖 your joy spreads to anyone watching your videos
Man I remember subscribing from years ago, when TGAW were together. I am crying because I am so happy for you. It’s like seeing a Big sister and feeling like we are all one going through this experience. God bless Love xoxo
Just wanted to add that I was 38 when having my daughter, here in the UK that's was considered mature but home birth was supported x
Ummmm...that’s an awesome tip with essential oils!
You have not aged a DAY 🥺 I’m so happy to see you with child !!
You are going to be a great mom, just be in each moment. And that soft touch that you can’t stand get over it because baby will be rubbing on you for comfort.
My mom gave birth to me when she was 41 and had no complications when she gave birth to me. You are in my prayers.
💕

Just finished your video with Max. Now I’m seeing this one! You look absolutely STUNNING! Congratulations on the new baby! Y❤️🤎🤎

Love you 🤍 been watching u since middle school. Its always wonderful to hear from you wherever you are 🤍🤍🤍 and congratulations i feel so happy and beautiful for you/you two
Things happen for a reason. You have different chapters in your life that are only suppose to be learning experiences. You are meant to be where you are. Your journey has been amazing to watch and thank you for sharing it.
They literally call it geriatric pregnancy I think that’s a bit much.
It’s just a term, it’s also a fact that complications are more likely after 35. Does that mean you shouldn’t have kids after 35? Nope, but the medical side of it is riskier.
Right! She’s not 75 lmfao!!!
It helps to visualize pushing and act it out the entire Labor to get your mind in the mindset. 👍
I still couldnt really beleive you were 35 when i first found out a few years ago, and here you are at 39 lookin healthy and GOODT as ever 😍

39?! I pray to look like this at 39 holy hell
Stunning! You give me hope. Blessings to you and yours.
Well said my love honestly it's tiring, the whole age nonsense
Frfr non-nonsense. If it happens,at wutever TIME dat is/will be. Ur body will let U know wen it’s TIME.
I've been following you for years!! I became a fan of your Tech Talk videos and now here we are! I love seeing you grow, lovely human (:
Congratulations shamlessmaya! Good luck with your pregnancy and healthy baby ❤
Breathing through contractions helped me alooot than i could ever imagine.
You should look into making korean seaweed soup. Super easy to make. It’s also a tradition to eat this on birthdays bc it’s given to mothers to nourish them after birth. It’s also reallly good.
My Filipina mother had me at 40. So excited for you ❤❤
Can I just say, gorgeous thumbnail 😍😍😍 good to see That Trick Jackieeee living her best life!!!!! 🥰
🥺Our baby is having a baby y’all!!!! So excited for you two and you just seem so much happier versus living in LA. Also I love that you have a Midwife, especially being a Black Woman in another country.
You’re literally hilarious 😂 I love watching your content! My hubby and I are planning to get pregnant so I’m now watching these 😍 thank you for being shamelessly you coz I’m here for it!!
Ohhh Maya!! You are truly a QUEEN. Your words will touch so many people 💗💗💗💗💯
I enjoyed this video so much! I am so happy you emphasized being able to own the process whether its hospital or home birth and this is something I realized with my second son. I am so happy for you Maya! I have been watching you for a while and I wish you nothing but Joy and Blessings on this journey, Love you mama..xoxoxo

Your so inspiring Maya! You’ve grown so much and it’s great to see your in your happy place with your husband and soon to be baby :)🤱🏽🤰🏽
You look so young and youthful it’s really encouraging to see you pregnant. I’m 26 and I get so stressed out that I don’t have kids yet because I do want at least one , I just haven’t found anyone yet 😣
GIRLLLL!!!! No stress needed!
You’re so beautiful inside and out! I’m 49 wish I got pregnant 5 years ago when I met the love of my life! Praying 🙏 your birth is beautiful 🤩
