I could imagine gigging with both this and the Friedman Mini BE, each into one input of a stereo 2X12 or 4X12 cab. What a kick-ass, heavy-sounding rig that would be! And because it's two amps you'd probably be loud enough to play over a drummer.
Nice opening riff !!! - That little amp sounds great ! - When I get a message from Pete Thorn and Rabea Massaad (Back to back) in the same day telling me to check out the same amp - well you know I'm gonna check it out !
This is a cool mini head for those seeking Cantrell's tone cheap. 30 watts is enough. Paired with a Marshall 2×12 this thing chugs. Just missing reverb. Nice effects loop for your pedals, though, or just plug straight in with them. Looking forward in comparing this with the new Soldano mini.
In the new mini head sweepstakes that apparently now exists with the debut of this diminutive Bogner, it's now your move every other boutique guitar maker. ;-)
PETE. your amp plugin is outstanding. Thsnks so much for all your cool guitar amp and pedal content andr reviews. But I think your amp Sim is one has some of the best sounding rock tones . Rivals the real deal often. And it in my computer wow I may never mic another amp again I Spend hours playing through all the signal chains . Thank you TOZZ
Wow all that crazy large sounds, in a tiny little living space! Thanks as always Pete never a dull day when I get my Pete Thorn YT call, God Bless U 4 sharing what's up n coming + raise my back hairs tune
Your original (seemingly off the cuff) intro's to your vid's are always amazing, to the point that sometimes I feel like I should be flippin burgers, lol.. And the Legend lives on! I do have a question.. I just saw your demo on the Friedman mini and loved it.. now we have the Bogner.. they seem to be almost an identical format with the exceptions of the addition of the cut boost switches and aesthetic's... I'm guessing that these are generally the same design and package i.e. internal layout, electronic components, transformers and power configuration then with some personalized mods to represent the signature branding. Is that where it end's? I don't have an issue with that because it sounds awesome, but would like to know how they truly differ and who is producing the template, or core of these things.. Simply curious how that all works. Any light that could be shed on this would greatly be appreciated. BTW, like thousands of others, I always look forward to your Vid's as they always provide a rock solid performance of music, intel and inspiration ! Thanks Pete! for all you do!
Pete the bogner sounds good but i would like to see you come out with your own version of a mini amp, maybe call it the MIni Tornado, modeling amp head?
@@MattGarwood777 Yes pete should consider this and also come out with a combo version of the THORNado amp,a thornado icon in between the name Thorn^ado or on the front of the grill cloth would also be a good idea!
Pete, I just ordered one of these and chose it over the Friedman "version". As I just thought it sounded more up my alley for my style of play. After watching the Friedman demo you did (after I ordered it), I'm wondering if it to can function as a "re-amp"?
I clicked on the thumbnail to this only because of Jerry Cantrell and Alice In Chains. I was NOT disappointed! Pete hittin' it outta the park again! Why? Because it's what he does. Pete, do you perceive any differences between tube and SS with this one? Are the lead tones slightly less smooth/more gritty or less "round" (warm)? Or does it sound about like the amp? Your videos are great!
Before watching this video, I watched Jerry Cantrell interview about his newest solo album. The opening song has a bit of Jerry's vibe on it and the testing song is definitely AiC song. It's like a fun coincidence.

Is this the red pedal? I think its controls are the same. I had that pedal for a while but it was more a distortion pedal n thats not my thing but i can see it being a good amp
We are truly living in the golden age of lunchbox-sized gargantuan tone monsters.
We are also living in the golden age of Pete Thorn’s guitar playing.
Ha thank u!
Great decision to play an AIC style track with a Bogner amp. Jerry’s riffs and tone are unbeatable. You absolutely killed it Pete!
Thanks!!
Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing👍🏼🤘🏼👍🏼
The riff was very Alice and Chains. Loved it.
I thought the same, very groovy
Yup very AIC and a bit of Zakk Wylde too on that ending.
I don't know any Alice in Chains but it reminded me of South Of Heaven
Definitely Jerry's tone. This mini head rocks!
I agree 💯
Great little amp! All of the AIC riffing was cool! but I noticed some Ty Tabor chording as well! great stuff Pete!
i got AIC vibes straight away with that riff man , awesome! your my fav guitar player on youtube, and easly the best in my opnion!
Thank you sir!

Good mother of all things large and small Pete! You’re playing is just phenomenal
Hey thanks!
Pete can make any equipment sound good.
When the first chord makes me go “DAAAANG” you know it’s gonna be another great Pete Thorn vid.
Thorn in chains! Very AIC esc Pete. Great tune!
I got AIC and King's X vibes from that intro tune -- DY-NO-Mite!!!
Pete you should be part of a giant rock band and make a pile of money! You are sooo good!
Thank you sir

Thank you Pete for taking the time to create these beautiful tracks for the video!totally brings the amp to life
Thanks!
Someone has been listening to alice in chains latelly. The wha parts almost reminded me of Pantera. Great as always Pete!
I hear a little STP Sex Type Thing in there too
I mean Pantera doesn't own the what sound
This is a little monster, small size huge tone, and a great demo track!
Pete what a great riff! You look like you are having so much fun. A little AIC to start the day. Awesome!!
My god that opening is a jam!!!! Love you Pete. Thank you for all you do!
Pete - that was one tremendous tune. Thanks for that riff!
Thanks!

Bought the amp already, should be in tomorrow. But I keep coming back for that lead you played, super super wavy
WOW!!! that was an awesome composition and that sounded fantastic!!

I was interested in this but then the Soldano came out. I guess I'll have to hold out until someone does a comparison between then.
you make me want to start playing guitar Pete...I don't know how you could give a better compliment than that
Hey thank u! I’m happy about that! 🤘
Is this the bogner ecstasy pedals with a class D or something power amp? I wonder. Great video, GREAT playing and music.
Fantastic Pete. That riff on the Knaggs sounds huge!
I just bought one. I'm going to try and use the Bogner Blue pedal in the FX Return with an ABY to switch between Blue and Red channels.
So, this is the Ecstasy Pedal with a Class D amp after it? Very neat little package, well done. Thanks for delivering another star performance Pete!
Great job Pete, if only all gear reviews were this good......

Big Smile right off the bat says it all!
It's not fair, I tell you...Pete can make anything sound great
This may have to be my first solid state amp. Running two in stereo with my mimiq pedal should sound really good.
The lead definitely has an Ozzy "No More Tears" vibe! Cool!
Cool little amp, great demo Pete.
I was definitely getting an Alice in Chains vibe even from your opening track very cool
Hell yea that sounds great, I love the mini amp craze! Seems like every company has at least one nowadays.
Love the Damn that River play thru. The bends in the main theme of Over Now is a Bogner advertisement!!!
Little amp…. massive sound…. EPIC guitar playing/player. Always inspiring my dude!!
Thanks!!

That is the perfect little AIC amp! I was having flashbacks of my early 20's.
Love that opening riff!!! Alice in chains meets Thorn
That thing is pretty slick. I really liked the sound that would be Jamie's crying Era. Cool
Really positive reviews of the little amps, thanks for your video helped me decide on the bogner
Great playing and Demo Pete!! Nice Drop-D action!!! Great smooth and tight gain!!
Nice Steve Stevens guitar there! Rayguns on the pickups gave it away ;)
Pete you are awesome and ya sold me on this puppy. I wanted something with no tubes that had a different timbre so thanks man.
Pete is the best guitarist in this era.
This is sooo cool. I really want one with that ported 1x12 cab Bogner makes. Anyone have one of those cabs? How does it sound?
Very grindy and "digestive biscuit" sound texture wise. Very nice.
Thanks for the vid. Great playing amd tones. I wish they could have squeezed a kinda clean in there
Ohhhh love dat riff in the beginning!!! Very hard rock/metal
Man, the intro! That's what Slash should be trying to play...
Gotta agree with the others here, AIC style is a great way to demonstrate this amp, sounds great.
It seemed the appropriate way to go!

Sick little box o tone , well demoed by Riff Master Thorn !!!
Nice !
So is this just their Ecstasy Red overdrive pedal fitted into a baby amp head with a SS power section added to it?
I think it really sounded best in the mix rather than by it's self.
Sweet Jebus! That rocked!
Great riff where can we download the backing track
