I’m only here for the great riffing by Rabea, to eat some popcorn, and to hear the people that miss the point and complain about how this isn’t the same as the $4,500 amplifier. 😂😂😂
I have one of these and absolutely love it. The dry tone is pretty dry, but when you put some delay and reverb in the effects loop it quickly becomes awesome. The "variac" switch is miraculous. I get all kinds of wonderful Satriani and EVH tones out of this thing.
I agree, but I also don't like Friedman's pedals, which I believe is all these amps are, pedals with a Class D amp following it. Man, the days of giant honking tube amps are numbered...
@@Xyrium no I would not agree...there's still no replacement for the big tubes. It's the best one of these amps for sure. All are good though. He didn't even show the best feature on this amp..the onboard variac for an amazing Brown sound. Shame he missed it.
I've never seen anyone else that is so good at getting "their" sound of literally any gear they use. You really know what you want out of gear and you always seem to find a way to get it lol. Very lovely review!
So the next High Gain Harmony episode will be a Class D special, featuring the Bogner Ecstasy Mini and the Friedman BE Mini...!? Go on Rabea, dare ya... 👍🤘🙏
The Friedman mini is a total non event, imho. This Bogner based on this demonstration solidifys Class D amps place in the pushed clean realm. Really like the mid tone with fx even though it does seem to want to be a high gain hobbit with some really interesting sounding eq curves via the toggles. Might be a very handy studio tool Ymmv ✌️ 🎶 🎶
It sounds to me like many solid state amps do when recorded in a decent studio, with a high-end guitar, by a good player, followed by a little polish in post.
Dude, you got gorgeous tone from that amp! Even through UA-cam! It would be cool to see you do some stuff for used gear, hidden gem at a price type stuff. Thanks alot for doing this video, Have a great day man!
When I get a a message from Rabea Massaad and Pete Thorn (Back to back) in one day telling me to check out the same amp. Well, - I'm going to give it a listen. That little thing sounds GREAT !!!
The pros and cons are interesting. To be honest, if I were gigging right now, I'd buy two mini Ecstacys and one mini SLO and do a Wet Dry Wet rig with three 12" cabs. Maybe 2 12 inch cabsL/R and a 2x12 for the Dry signal up the middle. Anyway, no 4x12s for this, although they are glorious where called for. Free The Tone Future Factory into Chase Bliss CXM 1978 on the Bogners L/R as Wet. SLO dry up the middle. I really, seriously might buy two Mini Ecstacys and a Mini SLO just to try this. Three Bona Fide amps for under a grand? Bravo.

Okay, now we need matching cheap solid state Dual Rectifiers and 6505's! Thank you so much for looking into these mini amps! I really like this one a lot!
Just gotta say big fan of your work (either solo or when you played with Rob Chapman in Dorje) Great demo, juat ordered this amp myself cant wait to rip it on this!!
Great job going for a clean tone right out of the gate. It's only so easy to go right for the gain knob and punch it. It's still mainly a gainy amp, but it can be a little more subtle, too. Excellent demo, Rabea.
Rabea you videos are not only so amazing and so inspiring to me as a player but you always are so genuine and someone that makes these videos so awesome to watch. Thx....amazing as always!
The man knows tone. Just an incredible player in the end. Made this amp sound just ridiculous! So tempted to scoop one of these up used and play some AIC 🤘🏼😭
Looks like an egnater tweaker. Sounds better clean than driven but for SS not bad at all. I like these new SS heads and fender tone products but the price seems steep for being like i said... solid state. I can buy a used tube head for like 300-500 bucks that would blow these away so idk. Maybe someone would like it for in the studio, low volume stuff. Also id love to see a friedman be od pedal vs the mini amp and a bogner ecstacy red vs the mini as well
Can we get someone other than Rabea to demo the amp so we know whether it's any good. Obviously anything Rabea plays through is going to sound amazing.
This is the best sounding vid for this mini. Hope it's not too good here I'm trying to solidify my pick for the few minis out there (Bogner, Soldano, Friedman, Diezel). So far this is definitely placing my needle on this. I use a bit if pedals and don't rely on amp effects
Ok wow, I'm definitely going to have to go down to GC tomorrow and see if they have one of these on the floor to demo. Seems like a very usable jam/rehearsal amp, and I'm getting to old to lug a valve amp around everywhere. He doesn't want to say it himself, but this sounds better then a lot of the valve heads he's demod, if it feels even half as nice as it sounds, it's as good as sold.
