This Canadian gal loves it. I'm starting this now using variegated colors & see how it turns out. If I don't like it with the various colors I'll frog it & do a solid color. I'm making small baby blankets ranging from 12x12" through to 30x30" for IC units for these babies that are hooked up to various machines due to their size & medical conditions. Then I'll make matching beanies

Happened on your channel when searching for baby afghan crochet and found this tutorial. Made this blanket for my grandbaby due in August. Oh how pretty! Used a fan border found on you tube to finish off and I couldn't be happier. Your instructions were very clear and this is a perfect stitch for a baby afghan. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!

Hi Thanks for this, I have used shell stitch before but never thought to go into the back loop. It is indeed three D. Thank you for uploading this video. I too get confused with the English and American terminology. I was taught originally by my Mum the English way, I think there are only a couple of you still using English terminology on UA-cam, well done we should not let our craft language disappear. Look forward to more of your videos. Barbara

This is a beautiful pattern. It is a great tutorial except not very welcoming. I realize American terminology is silly but it exists. I know and approve of UK technology but it would have been nice to have you mention it for persons who are unaware of the difference. I can only assume that you don't care if Americans subscribe or not. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. It is your channel, after all. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful work and for the video tutorial. ✌🏻🐾🥰🧶🇺🇸

Rebekah - I love your tutorials, very easy to follow for a beginner like me. I'm going to make this as a baby blanket. I want to change colors and think it would be fairly simple just pull up the new color at the end of the row (I hope). What edging would you suggest?
    Thanks!

Help! I just completed the body of the your puff shell stitch baby blanket and I love the texture of the stitch. As you suggested, I am trying to add your simple frills border. However, I'm struggling with how to add the first row of the border to the top of last row of shell stitches. When I add a US single crochet to each stitch of the shell I lose the puff of the top row of shells. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
