  • A couple of grams lighter with a polished stainless steel blade the spine isn't ground for a fire steel but it makes it a more comfortable work/craft knife significantly cheaper than the regular Eldris and a great little no fuss camp knife or work knife

Today I received my lightweight eldris and was not happy. I needed the eldris to open the packaging to get the knife out 🙄 All said and done I am very happy with that he knife

Hi from the UK. Love the Mora Eldris and was more than a little intrigued by the 'Light Duty' version. This tells me all I need to know. Not being able to use it to strike a fire steel is not an issue to me as the ones I carry all have their own strikers.

Hi Peter I think light duty is a poor choice of a name its a great work knife and more comfortable for your thumb on the spine regards Mike

Personally I prefer the simpler grind and it's easier and more versatile to carry another thinner blade like the Clipper for surgically precise slicing. Mora makes several small and light blades. And many Mora buyers purchase the Companions or the 511's and file the back square.

I have never had a clipper in my hand they look like a lot of knife for the money the joy of the Eldris is its pocket knife size with the strength of a fixed blade and none threatening look.Where I live we are pretty relaxed on knife carry but in the last few weeks we have had three knife assaults and two deaths,I think 🤔 new laws might be one the way sadly

Did you import that or get it from an Australia dealer?

Either newer Moras, don't have the fit and finish they used to have or my local seller, gets the factory seconds. I checked a Companion,a Robust, a Spark and this new ight duty Eldris and all 4 really sucked in fit and finish quality. The cutting edges where all off and uneven. I'm lucky I didn't order these. I got only a Robust, that looked better but as soon I returnes home, I found out it had uneven grinds....At least, I could fix that with some reprofiling, but if you could see, what I saw in that shop, you wouldn't beleive your eyes. I know I didn't...

Does it come with a micro-bevel?

I can’t see one on mine I think 🤔 only the knives over a certain thickness have the micro B the Garberg does
