Kings Ultimate Bush Mecanic Tool Kit Review
Переглядів 48114 днів тому
A great value kit for a new outback traveler who wants to be prepared without spending a lot of money or a alternative kit for someone who doesn't want to leave expensive tools in his truck. I compare my personal overland tool rolls content with the 150 Kings set and they have a lot in common
Fitting Custom Alox Scales to Victorinox 111mm knife

It would of been a simple job if I had used a 11mm model with a corkscrew rather than a Phillips screwdriver however I am happy with the outcome 😊

Making Fire Rope a DIY Bushcraft project
I’ve got the 1 gallon jug and the 64 oz bottle. Bought the 64 oz before I saw this review…glad I did!
If I hadn't had the one Gallon for a few years in a hot climate I probably wouldn't of picked up on the lower performance of the 1/2 gallon regards Mike
Another video shows it fits and is even slightly big. I wonder if the Trangia hole varies, or does the Evernew vary? He measured his Trangia hole to be 70.9mm, but said the Evernew would not fall through.
I can only go on my three Trangia and the one burner and mine fits through all of the bases, one of the ultra light guys used to make a wire adapter to prevent the Evernew burner falling through the trangia base
Well….i was just wishing there was something like this. And that’s how I found you, thanks for putting this out there. Well wishes from Texas!!
How long can this burn
@@awaisulqamar3710 depends on how much cardboard to wax you put in the more cardboard/ wick the bigger the flame 🔥. You have a few hours burn time plenty to make some simple meals
I realized that one of the benefits of the yeti is durability. The water will stay cold for more or less the same as competitors but it’ll be way more durable
I have had great long term success with my Yeti products and they have good back up if needed
ye didnt work so well snapped my blade and handle
First time a came across your channel and exactly what I was looking for, informative and easy to follow instructions, definitely earned a like and subscribe from me 👌
I am glad my content was helpful for you I try and make good content that is useful
It's a great kettle.
I have the small one as well that is great for bushcraft as a solo or a couple beforehand I used Trangia kettles they eventually got holes in the base (after twenty years) regards Mike
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Wow! Just saw this. Thanks so much for sharing mate, really appreciate it !
I a big fan of the full send variety I am expecting a delivery 🚚 in the next couple of days
Your video is over exposed, to btight
how is it holding up after 2 years?
Holding up well it lives in my tool bag 💼 for close up work the even light spread is great
@@kisbushcraftdownunder im about to buy one, just wanted to check the reviews first
@@ContraIsBased I haven't seen them for sale in years are they still making them ?
@@kisbushcraftdownunder a guy in my area is selling some brand new in the box,im just worried its been so long,10 years or so to be more precise, and they may or may not work, apparently they only have a 10 year lifespan if not used
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
My pleasure 😊 to share ideas
freimd has a hyundai terracan he could never get parts , it was always a long wait . ive only ever bought cars you can buy parts for just about anywhere anytime. plus i only buy cars that are easy to work on . knead it putty metal mend is a life saver i always carry a fresh tube ,carby cleaner, sand paper. done some good repairs with that stuff, i live out in the sticks, my cars are always equipped. i broke down once in the middle of nowhere in 1989 and since then im.always fully kitted.
Some lessons in life are hard learned back when cars had glass fuel bowls I had one break in the outback. All I needed was a few feet of fuel hose and a can to hold petrol ⛽to set up a gravity feed it was a long walk
Some good ideas there I found it interesting. Although in my little car I fear if I took as much stuff as you listed there'd be no room left for me 😅
Its a lot easier to look after a car at home than by the side of the road
Nice vid Mike… I also like to carry a 1kg gimpie and a large cold chisel to match
I like a short length of railway track as a mini anvil
@@kisbushcraftdownunder that's another great idea
Brilliant set up !

just goes to show you can't beat an estonian accent for doing a knife review.
I was born in the North of England and have lived in Australia since I was five regards Mike
Hello, and thank you for the advice. Sadly, I'm here too late; it's just happened to me. I'm incapable of describing my horror as I drew my magnificent knife from the sheath which I had believed was keeping it safe. I wish I'd watched this video a week ago!
You could try CLR to remove the rust from the surface then use a metal polish hope you can get a good result regards Mike
@@kisbushcraftdownunder Hello, Mike - thank you!
thanks for the vid mate, would you recommend a square or a round mouth for digging cars out?
If you just moving beach sand a square mouth id great and holds more but if you moving mud /clay or sand with rocks in it go rounded.
@kisbushcraftdownunder thanks mate!! There 18 at bunnings so I might grab both and swap them out for different trips then :)
That was 33% glycol. I wonder what the optimal strength of glycol is, 100%? Good video.
Simply get a Ruike LD42-B.
I couldn’t hear you
Ive just emailed ARB about a replacement then came across your video. I have contacted Outdoor Accessories as a result - thank you!
Äntligen. Träffade en kille i Abisko fjällen. Han bakade bröd i sitt trangiakök. Han hade lagrad cheddar som håller bra i värmen. Hi from sweden

This REALLY works! Clogged sink due to denture adhesive. It took 3/4 box, but the sink is working ok now.

I need this frame
Three days is pretty good for a soft sided cooler. I use my yeti flip 18 for kayak camping. On the fourth day things warm up a little but it’s the sacrifice I make instead of the hard coolers which are too bulky and heavy for my purpose. Plus I wrap a towel around my cooler to aid it from heating up quicker.
Sunlight is a biggest problem for coolers a wet towel can help by blocking the solar radiation and provide some evaporation cooling
still got my first sidchrome set aussie made , when i started on the tools in the 80's . still by sidchrome today, ive got it all LOL. i have hidden compartments for my tools due to lowlifes . freind bought 40,000 worth of snappon lasted 24hrs , they cut his shed open with a grinder. ive got hidden cameras from places like ozspy.
I get a bit bent out of shape when I get stuff stolen especially when I can't replace it
How many tablets did you use to get that to work?
Four tablets worked well on this one
I want mine to be the Coldest…Can you please tell me how to make it Coldest ???
@@jhonston666 it will get down to negative 18 degrees Celsius deep freeze 🥶 mode just set the temperature
Can’t see anything about what you are doing with the display……
I have the Marlinspike version. Been carrying it for 20 years. I have others but this one I like because it is robust & does what I require of it.
Nice vacation.❤
Australia is a great place to live and travel in
How are the mats standing up ? Just got my Troop last week and already see i need something. Thanks for sharing.
They are a huge improvement on the factory matts they seem to be holding up well I try to vacuum up the sand I track in about weekly
and maybe carry a diy base plate for the jack to stand on.
Whats Yeti and Coffee got to do with each other? Mines called Bigfoot for when i have a cup of Tea...Not
Much brighter, means the bugs will find you quicker 😁
I have a amber colour led lamp in the rear cargo area for just that reason 😂
I just managed to buy one exactly the same as yours. Believe it or not it's in much better nick that yours, but I didn't score the box. I printed a copy of the original sticker under the lid and it looks great. Im now looking out for the two accessories that came with it. Thanks for the vid. I'm a bit late but better late than never eh ? Ha Ha. Any advice on where I can source the 2 inserts that came with this Esky? Cheers!
I have seen the racks from time to time at second hand stores they seem to outlast the esky
I do not have this model, but looking on Amazon about half of them there are all similar to each other. They are pretty cool in more than one way. I want to make known that there is only one flaw in these: More than half do not have a non slip exterior, they are hard SMOOTH very slippery exteriors. Mine appears to be made solely out of stainless steel, between a full can and the weight of this cooler, if you do not pay attention, you could grab this and lifting this can easily slip right out your hands. Pro's, easy loading and removal of the can, when the tops on it's not going anywhere. They are solid. I 've seen a few of these that have an outside surfaces that makes it nonslip, get one of those.
You can soak the knife in warm/ hot water to make the scales easier to remove. 👍
I'm getting one of these. I have a Stanley, only because Yeti didn't have one. But, yup! I'm getting one, whoop whoop!
They have a lid available now with a mag slide so it can do as a jug
Does not hold ice good at all
This is my wife’s go-to method for making coffee now. It’s so easy and it tastes good. I think the taste gets better the longer it sits and It stays very hot for hours. We just wish that the lid would seal like a normal yeti mug. It’s a bit pricey though. Think I paid $100usd
They sell a lid with a closer on it so you can use it as a jug the press is expensive but hopefully its the buy once cry once type of deal
I love that sharpening stone. It works really well with s30v but so is everything that steel is so easy to sharpen
I bought a couple of Striders SMF & SNG when S30V was the new super steel and I have been impressed with it
Hey Mike great video! A quick question and possible video idea. I recently purchased the Yeti Roadie 48 and the Yeti Brick Bottle Opener. I want to attach the Brick bottle opener to the Roadie for convenient access and possibly make it where I can also detatch the bottle opener if possible especially during transport to as not to ding up the cooler unnecessarily. I know you're a man with great ideas and I am looking forward if you have unique ideas in mind.
I thinking 🤔a leather knife style sheath that could snap to the handle or your belt , You could then use the line that's not a bottle opener son this is a bottle opener 😜 like on crocodile 🐊Dundee
Wow what a great idea 🙌 that would’ve never came to mind! Now I’m thinking of the best way to attach the sheath to the cooler. But yeah 😂 keeping it on my belt could probably be the best route. will look more into it this week. Thanks again Mike!
@@paco3.062 put a snap on the belt loop and it can do both
Speak up!
Too small and 10x the price of its better competitors is the truth
Its size is a compromise the diameter is fine a deeper spool would be better for putting line back on, but it fits nicely into a pocket for stealth or travel
And that's why I've always liked steel wheels, high torque load and they handle hits and bumps better, less metal fatigue
I have had good results with factory alloy wheels in 16 & 17 inch but wouldn't recommend 18 Inch or above and some aftermarket rims/nut combinations are of low quality regards Mike
