I can’t put it in words how beautiful this car it truly is. I don’t think I can live with one after owning 2 of them for almost 7 years Truly in love with this car
I have one. Bought it for $21,000 in 2016 with 80,000 miles, it now has 108k. The RS6 sold new in 2003 for a base price of $85,000. Only approximately 1000 units were shipped to all of North America for one year only, 2003. Mine is silver with white leather and carbon fiber interior trim. No major repairs. I've maintained it and tracked it. Being a former Porsche racer, my stock RS6 performed like a race car at Laguna Seca, staying in front of race prepared cars. I absolutely love my 2003 RS6 and will never sell it. I did replace the timing belt at 96k miles and did a full factory 100,000 mile maintenance, expensive but necessary. The biggest potential for failure is the transmission/torque converter. No one in the San Francisco bay area has the ability to repair or replace. Removal, shipping, repair, and replacement will set you back $10,000. The Dynamic Ride Control System (DRC) was way ahead of it's time. If does fail, it's best and cheaper to just covert to a standard coil-over suspension.
I am so happy you’re an owner of an C5 rs6. I can explain inof to people how much I love this car and how special it really is. This car it really deserves way more but I think and believe people will appreciate it way more once it becomes classic. Anyway sense you have an rs6 like mine subscribe because this car will be hanging around me for life 🥂
Your 💯 right it’s just drives me crazy how bad the internet makes it sound. For the internet it’s impossible to own but honestly I haven’t had a single problem with it except the gas leak. But that it’s to aspect something like that because it’s over 20 years old but other than that it’s incredibly solid.
I'm glad too, but the reason is real. If you cannot work on your own car, the Audi Dealership will 'rip you a new one' to work on these because labor charges are high, for a lot of the common repairs...
I almost purchased a C7 S6 but unfortunately we couldn't come to agreement on a price as it was higher mileage. Guess everything happens for a reason because Im nowon my way too purchase a RS6 soon! 🤞🏽
Sill in time… they are still a bargain for what they are. Unfortunately it’s a little hard to find one in good condition and low miles but if you do I personally recommend to get one because it’s truly one of kind 🥂
Thanks for the video. I am considering purchasing one as car #3 for weekends and car meets. This video helps to burst the false bubble that is created around this unreal machine. I love C5 RS6!
You’re very welcome. I hope you will come an across a good one. This will be perfect for weekends. Honestly I have it for almost 4 years and they have lots of electronics and still the battery in perfect condition. The only thing I am having it’s the gas leak wich I am waiting to get one of my other cars and drop this one. But other than that never had a single problem with it. What I love about this car is that it has enough performance to hold its own today. 20 years ago it was absolutely insane. Performance is more than just straight lines, and this car is just as good in dynamics as straight-line. This car is like a next level from the E39 M5, everything just feels more solid and more excessive. I guess the best thing about it is that it is a complete enigma, pretty much nobody will ever know what a special car you have. The ultimate sleeper sedan.
I absolutely agree with you 💯% And sometimes drives me crazy how people think it’s impossible to own. Yes it’s more expensive and complicated than the E55 amg or E39 M5 but honestly all of them they are expensive. Yes this Audi may be a little more expensive but the exclusivity and experience of this car makes up for it. Anyway I am happy someone else knows this car because some car people say it’s a cool car but they are very few who knows this car. Hope you have one yourself to 🥂

I love Audi. I have a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Ultra Sport Package (the B6), in silver of course, very similar lines. It's broke but I will get it running again. It's elegant, classy, and sporty. These generation of Audi aged well as far as looks and are underappreciated. As long as you maintained them, they can go on for years. By the way, the wheels on your RS6 look the same as the ones on my A4 USP. Do you know if they are the same? Let me know. Love your video and just subscribed. Saludos from Tijuana, Mexico!
Nice Man. I love this car so much and I planing on keeping it for life. I would love to get the 2007 rs4 manual next. As far as for the wheels on my Rs6 they are 18. I think they are very close looking but it changes slightly on the looks and size I think
It’s expensive but honestly every performance sedan or sports cars are expensive. Maybe this one it’s slightly more expensive then some others but considering how rare it is and unique and special it is it makes up for it. At least for me. I won’t give up this car for anything. Very very deeply in love with this one
I buy a6 c5 2.5tdi 2004 with recaro seats.. and watching one s6 4.2 it sold for 3000$ someone didnt drive him for 10 yrs and need a litlle bit of work to start properly btw my 2.5 will cost me 4500$ at the end
I owned a 2.7 many many years ago but never got to drive the s6 yet. However from the 2.7 what I had to this rs6 it’s a very very big difference I will suggest the rs6 if you can afford to spend a little more because it’s truly a special car
I’m interested in buying one I found for 9k with 104 thousand miles but has a salvage title due to something with the bank repossesing it or something but has no accidents and I’m not sure where to stand Beacuse everyone says don’t even think about it but for that price and mileage I think it’s good but the dealer also said it needs new brakes all around
I think it’s a really good deal. Now if you never had a sports car before it’s going to cost you a little. It’s not a cheap car to maintain but what I can tell you is me personally owning 2 of them and still own this one I never really had to spend anything on it except the oil change. However on mine I have evap leak that’s the only thing I am having on my car other than that 4 years of ownership almost not a single problem. People talk lots of crap about this car but considering how special and rare and unique this on is it’s absolutely worth the money. I can’t stretch inof how special it truly is. And again if you never owned a v8 before or a sports car it’s going to be expensive but if you can afford it it will make up for it. Again mine it’s pretty low mileage so I haven’t spent any money on it yet however it’s coming up a big service soon at 50k miles. I personally want to buy another one and do an engine swap or something crazy because I just love the body style of this car so much. Anyway I personally would say buy if you can afford to spend some money but if you never owned a sports car you should probably stay away because it’s expensive on gas as well because it really drinks so gas and honestly evry v8 drinks lots of gas. Anyway do your research and think about it and see if that makes sense for you because this car it’s not for everyone. It’s either you love it or hate it and because the social media makes it seem impossible to own. Anyway let me know if you end up getting it 🥂
Unfortunately unless you go through the risky grey market import process you’ll have to wait for the 25 year rule to expire. Non US versions have different light configurations and emissions that the gov will freak over
Honestly people say that most of the time. From my experience of owning 2 of them for over 6 years didn’t have any problems except this one I have I am having a gas leak other than that this thing drives and pulls like new. Depends how you treat them to. And yes the gear box it’s not that good and responsive but I started to like it more because it gives you a feeling of driving a manual a little bit. But I promise you once this one becomes classic people they will realize how really special this car is. And prices they will go up for good examples like this one. I didn’t buy it as investment personally but because I really really love this car sense I was a baby. 🥂
Yeah. Thing is: you have to absolutely rely on how the previous owner(s) treated this car. It doesn’t take abuse well. Over here in Germany it’s in the purgatory of „big HP for relatively low money so I better sell it when it makes strange noises“. Not good. As for the classic bit: I doubt it. We won’t see classics anymore with that generation. You simply won’t have the manufacturer support anymore once Audi goes full electric
@@alfpetzer5812 abusing this one definitely not a good idea for sure. In 4 years of ownership and almost 10k miles on it the only thing I have done just an oil change so far.
