Honestly Kissame and Itachi are perfect examples of our real world soldiers. They get used and abused, having to put their lives on hold and their families aside for the good of their nation… only to be left to rot without much help after they complete their missions (if they even come out alive)… truly sad when you think about it

Idc if it’s wrong but there are too many shark jutsu, and they all look like imperfect versions of what a shark sage would be.

I think that the most likely similar to jugo natural ability to pull in nature chakra and goes through physical alterations similar to a imperfect sage. Kisamae shark form can be his clans version of mastering sage mode by embracing the alterations

I think they are similar to Kiba's clan. Kiba and his family have pronounced canine teeth, and heightened sense of smell.
The Hoshigake clan are likely more "evolved" versions of that. I do not think it is a sage transformation due to the fact Kisame is weaker than Itachi.
Human physiology isnt consistent in Naruto. We have people that sword fight with their spines, people that have hollow voids in their body for swarms insects to live in. It isnt too extreme for there to be a grey skinned dude with gills.

This is an example of how great kishimoto's lore and storytelling can be when he isn't forced into a generic shounen plot by editors. Itachi and Kisame weren't omnipotent gods here and were almost taken out by farmers who planned very well. That's how Naruto should've been the whole time.

Kisame was my first favorite character because I saw him in a fighting game when I was a kid and I always used him cause he looked like a shark, now learning more about him theres no wonder why I was attracted to his character he was an incredible shinobi and swordsman

Would it be blasphemous to assume that kisame is an imperfect shark sage? I mean Orochimaru and kabuto got that whole ass skin condition from trying to be a snake sage. A shark sage would kinda be dope

Kisame is either the third or fourth most powerful in akatsuki or equal to Itachi.

Believe it or not, Sasori is ranked number 4 strongest in terms of intelligence capacity, and the iron sand technique which many nations feared because it was a feared technique used by the strongest Kazekage from the sand village, I'm a Kisame fan myself, but we have to be objective here, just go look up Kishimoto's video admitting he had allot more plans for Sasori as well, but he had to take him out because he was one of the high end members.

One thing you missed however is that obito put kisame on itachi team, because he was the perfect counter, water style user, can take chakra and make himself stronger, reports directly to obito. has a knack for killing his teammates with no person ever being able to sway him. kisame might be one of the few people who could not be talked no jutsu. kisame questions him the whole time in part one on why they dont just fight the other ninja, itachi is trying to prevent a massacre. in fact kisame probably looking down on tobi in the after life.
i agree with you even his Samehada could counter Genjutsu with chakra transfer.
@@youcantkilltwice5596 problem with that is that he has to have chakra before hand to do it, if he can’t hit him, he will have zero chakra to be able to use, but I also agree, given his sword has chakra it should be able to disrupt. Only hole in this is that the sword don’t utilize chakra, it takes it away, so it might not even be able to disrupt due to not knowing how to… by utilize I mean he can’t use chakra he can only expand due to the volume of chakra being taken.

Man, idk why because I already knew. But for some reason after watching this I wish Edo Itachi and Kisame would’ve gotten an opportunity to talk to each other and or at least acknowledge each other as friends like someone special to each other. I think that would’ve been a pretty cool send off especially for Kisame who wasn’t evil per’se he was kinda a victim of circumstances honestly. Just like most of the Akatsuki. They were all for the most part taken advantage of from something major affecting their lives. Even Obito! Sasori’s parents, Itachi well his massacre and being told to infiltrate the Akatsuki, Kisame with the Cyphercore and betrayal by his own people, Pain and Konan with the war and then subsequent death of Yahiko. But then you had characters like Hidan who just wanted to spread death in the name of Jashin, and Kakuzu who just wanted money for the most part lol.
Maan,, Hoshigaki Kisame... my personal favorite akatsuki member,, so misunderstood, actually is a good person at heart.. but his story is sad.. and his loneliness.. the reason for it.. the reason he is the way he is,, and still has that smile, and will to carry on going forward.. Alone.. inspiring... pluss the dude who voiced him in the Japanese version just made it perfect..

The Dangerous Duo, and definitely two characters in my top ten favorite of the franchise. Their level of devotion and loyalty is something to aspire to, in my opinion.
Kisame, being sad after finding out Itachi died, especially due to it being against Sasuke; although he likely expected that from that encounter of theirs. He was tasked, and agreed, with no hesitation, to stop anyone else from tagging along with Sasuke to that fight.
Then when Itachi is reanimated in the 4th Great Ninja War, only to see Bee wielding Samehada now; realizing that meant Kisame was gone too. The sad, melancholic look on Itachi's face after seeing that and realizing his old best bro in arms, has passed on too. 😔 They definitely had been through a lot alongside each other, and bonded significantly due to that. 💯

was loyal solider. That’s why itachi and Kisame got along! Although, itachi judged him the first they met without knowing him! Only difference was itachi refused to believe killing comrades is true reality, whereas Kisame did!

Kisames loyalty is something of a breath of fresh air, per all the betrayals/ lack of restraint and ulterior motives that usually stem from characters with unruly tendencies. Especially after the amount of betrayal he had faced in his own village. He wasn't my favorite Akatsuki, mines actually kakuzu, itachi being a close second, but my respect for Kisame is definitely higher then most characters for that very reason. He was also up there as far as power goes, I'd say he is probably physically stronger then Itachi and had much more in the tank as far as chakra reserves is concerned.
kisasmes clan is rumored to be natural shark sage and constsntly drawing in nature energy but the trade off is it permanently changed their appearance

I know very few characters across all of fiction who is as underrated as Kisame.
That was so sad and heart warming at the same time, thank you for this video, kisame hoshigaki is one of my favorite characters in naruto and I wished things could have been better for him
Big problem with sharks using nature energies, is they have to sit still. which they literally cant, most sharks have to constantly be swimming. Also sage mode can only be done by mixing sage energy with chakra. also have to stay still. His sword takes chakra, in fact you could make a case that if the sword took sage chakra that it, it self could be turned to stone. furthermore the sword uses chakra it gets, to change it shape or from kisame himself, without a wielder the sword would be practically useless.
It could get around, ambush some people
