Seriously....Out of everyone who went toe-to-toe with an Akatsuki, Sasuke was out classed by Deidara and essentially toyed-with by a dying Itachi. Thank god he had that reinforced plot armor made in time.
So we going to ignore the fact that sasuke had control of the entire fight. He also refused to kill deidara and was holding back. Also let’s not forget that deidara in their battle had some help from tobi as well. Like stop downplaying sasuke who was clearly stronger than deidara.
I would say that Deidara deserved more screen time, but honestly he got the perfect amount he needed for his character and themes. It's fitting that he stayed around only for as long as he needed, and went out with a bang originally. But it was nice seeing him again in the war arc again anyway.
Not only that he also did some bigger feats than like sasori or like kimmimaru that we got to see on screen that really helps like just fighting gara and they use the whole village sky to fight over like diedra was done right till sauske I think they both should have died

Was a bit disappointed by him in the war arc. When he got captured, it was very set up to him being freed again. We kept seeing him talking within the puppet multiple times. Yet nothing came of it. Also would've liked to see him interact more with Onoki, as it seemed they had a bit of backstory.

deidera was so true to his art that he would kill himself for it. literally. he wanted to literally go out with a bang, not for just any reason, but just for the aspect of art. it's actually really beautiful.
Kakuzu was one of the strongest in the akastuki kisame was one of the stronger ones to personally my power ranking for akastuki goes as follows 1 Tobi 2 pain 3 kisame 4 itachi 5 kakuzu 6 Konon 7 sasori 8 daedara 9 Hidan I might be forgetting one but regardless some of these characters are on the lower but that doesn’t mean they’re weak or unimportant all of them were extremely important considering it’s was them 9 v the world
"Art is an explosion" is a quote that stuck with me since I heart it for no real reason. I always kinda liked the beauty is fleeting type of ideals he had. It makes a lot of sense. You can only stare at something pretty for so long before it becomes bland, and making sure that it stays in your mind as something you desire more of but cannot have is a great way to unironically make good art.

I think one of biggest things Kishimoto did with Naruto was make the side characters so interesting you can't help but want to know more about the setting and history.
If it's called the "Explosion Corps" then it's most likely a military unit, as corps refers specifically to an army subdivision in almost every instance of its usage.
It's really interesting how Deidara and Sasori have respect for each other's art, given the inspiration behind theirs seem contradictory. Sasori's art of maintaining people in a puppet state counters the ephemerality of life and relationships, whereas Deidara's focuses almost solely on that fleeting nature.
When masters disagree on the best way to make art, they admire people that make incredible art the "wrong" way even more - because imagine what they could do if they did it "right".

I've never read the Manga or light novels so this gives me a whole new perspective on the both of them. Watching this video made my chest heavy (in a good way) and I can't thank you enough. I've been playing trumpet for 7-8 years and ended up making All-district in North Carolina. The absolute pinnacle of the highs of my life all come from concert day, where you get this incredible dopamine rush when playing your favorite part of the piece with your fellow students. This pales in comparison from playing just by yourself, which is fulfilling, but the joy of experiencing art with other people is one of the best things one can ever feel, in my opinion. I had no idea deidara was this deep lol

Sauske survived c4 because he could see it coming and explained in great detail how he countered it, and he set up the manda reverse summon in advance to escape any situation. That’s why team Taka had the scroll to summon him..
@@Dirtymoose13 you know summoning jutsu takes an extreme amount of chakra and it explains it in great detail. So how did exhausted Sasuke manage to summon a tailed beast size summon with 10% of his chakra left?

Deidara could’ve killed sasuke if he had blown up the bird he trapped him on instead of making another little C4 parura that sasuke disarmed. ( severally under ratted character)

Can I just say how dirty the war arc did the akatsuki, they were these super powerful people who destroyed entire villages and all feel really easily defeated. The fact that sasori and dedera get beat by just kankuro and sai. What's worse I would say is kakazu who feels like a foot note
There was no reason deidara should’ve lost that fight at all and even sasori without puppets is a monster and they did kakuzu so dirty. Kakuzu was literally off screened

deidara has always been in my top 3 akatsuki members because of his conviction. he never strayed from what he believed to be the righteous path and always stayed true to himself to the very end. i think his ability to resist kabuto’s orders while under edo tensei was due to his unrivaled dedication to his art. absolutely amazing character
Deidara's explosion art is like when a painter randomly splatters paint or puts a blob and blows it, the art will never be the same as the last even if you do the same thing every time.

Deidara could go all out with his explosions while not giving a shit about the sand village, but he couldn't kill gaara, while gaara was fighting in his home field, but at the same time had to have his attention divided to protect it. Honestly, I think that fight is very well scripted. I got sad to see gaara being taken by the akatsuki, but I don't think it could've been written better

Honestly, I always get so disappointed when I see people under rating deidara because he's such a cool character. His team with sasori is my favourite akatsuki team (maybe naruto team) and I'm so thankful nick made this video. It's refreshing to see someone putting some respect on deidara's name. I think that the only instance where Deidara actually went against his art philosophy is when edo Sasori had accepted his fate and you can see (anime wise) that Deidara was upset and didn’t want him to go. While Sasori was happy to have an ending instead of limitless life. Kind of shows how much they respected each other that they adapted a little of each others’ philosophy ( for Deidara, wanting Sasori to not end in a moment but longer and for Sasori, to accept the ending to things, I.e, his life). But of course, it’s more subtle to notice as Deidara still talks about art being an explosion and Sasori entrusting Kankuro with the puppets to still be used and to live on forever. But goes to show how I love this friendship and how close they were. Of course this is my theory but is one I still connect to and if I’m wrong, then sorry lol :>
I think the explosion corp is a military unit similar to the puppet unit. Because Deidara becomes famous for joining it i.e most likely being the most talented in it. Him stealing the forbidden scrolls aren't the only reason that he was strong. This was backed by the statement of korutsochi when she may meet sasuke "I wonder what kind of man that can defeat big bro deidara" -rephrased cause i forgot( while leaving for t kage summit naruto) Indicating that deidara is already well known. The 3th tsuchikage also sees deidara in high regard. Indicating that deidara was supposed to be a core member of Iwa. Pretty underwhelming if the reason is because he's a hardworker "stone smasher".

I Think Deidara’s personality was inspired by Picasso’s famous quote “art is a series of destructions” which Kishimito most likely learned about since he went to art school and it’s like one of the most famous artist quotes about art, that’s taught in basically every art appreciation/ art history class.
Kabuto literally could have forced him to do it, but he was like "okay fine". I think they really could have come up with something more creative than that.
When DaVinci finished the Mona Lisa he looked at it and hated it, most people did to until it was stolen. It being stolen is the reason it's so beloved now.
U should seriously consider doing some vids about the sound four. I feel they are slept on by most of this community or even considered fodder. I feel these characters should have survived part 1 to be apart of he I and taka with Sasuke as the leader They were more interesting than Karin jugo and suigetsu. Leaving these enemies alive would have aloud the shikamaru platoon to have something to do when looking for Sasuke. And I think that the act of beating these guys was actually really impressive
and they pretty much got killed by genin well I'll give the big dude a pass sense chogi got a 100x amp which would put him pretty high shikamaru and temari was beating the girl I can't spell her name correctly so I won't even try and sakon and ukon lost to kiba and the spider webs dude forgot his name pretty much stalemated neji which is a good feat but still chunin level

These characters were brought down for more than a few reasons. Not all power related. In chojis case the 100x Amp. In kidomarus case nejis gentle fist and byackugan were really the only counter. Sakon and upon were overconfident. And in tauyuyas case she got bested by strategies. Under the correct circumstances I lv individuals can be brought down by weaker individuals.

You forget that the capital of the hidden Mist village also skyscrapers more modern ones too compared to Hidden Rain I also wonder if there's some crazy dude in the hidden stone similar to Orochimaru has far as scientific knowledge and did he have the mouths grafted to his body bc that would make the most sense
I always wondered about the logistics pertaining to how The Hidden Stone brings in food. There's no way that they're keeping enough livestock nearby to feed their entire population when there's literally no fields for them to graze in anywhere inside of or around the village. They have to import all of their food from somewhere but it certainly doesn't come from the Hidden Sand or the land of Wind to the South of them, and most of stone country is literally just one really large and circular mountain range. Where the hell are they important their food from?
....... as yhe overall natuons yhese villages are located in are of significant size(can't really judge by how long travel times were as nijas seem to travel much faster then normal people) you have to assume that else were in the country they have sufficient aggriculcure to support the miltary bases that are hidden villages. Mountain sides and vallies would be good for goats and sheap. If yoi are not willing to assume that you either have to suspend your desibelif saying it was just never thought about when world bulding was done are rage aginst it for not being coverd in world building i choose the first of those awnswers. And while they could import food considering how unstable the politcal sutuation is that does not sound like a stable situation.

I do love the duality of the art forms in sasori and deidara one as you said a fleeting moment and the destruction of the peice (explosion) and another trying to collect preserve and make eternal (puppets )
It isn't and the chakra element interactions is one of the biggest and silliest plot holes in the series and is never brought up again after this fight
@@frewthelookingglass860 so because i`m 7 months late the hand sign he uses is earth-style which causes the clay to explode. the issue is lightning style is never stated on how its used (it should be what allows the clay to explode because his clay is based on the c4 but even then it wouldn't be possible to use lightning style to defuse the explosives since that should just cause them to explode to early) so yeah it is a plot hole since you cant deactivate armed clay without it exploding because you cant short circuit clay
I'm a big nerd for powers in Naruto and in general. And the one thing that peeves me in your story is "Sasori uses puppet technique to make all of his bodyguards kill themselves". It's stated and written in the wiki that puppet users use corpses as puppets and Sasori could control people, BUT only when they are weakened or severely damaged and cannot resist. So him just taking control straight out is kind of questionable.

I think one of the things that bothered me about these two was that they never worked on anything together knowing the sheer volume of artists I have it's rare to see two artists hang out and not even discuss a collaboration it's just weird Imagine data making puppets out of his clay or adding explosive clay into one of sasori's puppets I don't know it could have been so epic
I thought they too until I realized they completely contradict each other's art and aren't compatible. Deidara wants his art to be ephemeral and leave nothing behind, he sees the explosion after his clay detonates as art, Sasori would be horrified at seeing his hard work blow up. Sasori meticulously handcrafts every puppet he makes and every piece is an original. Deidara creates his art on the fly without planning beforehand and he's capable of replicating designs. Sasori believes his puppets should be eternal for future generations to admire and enjoy. Deidara would be appalled at seeing his art rot and erode overtime
Thanks for covering this, Dei was my favorite character because he resonates on how I feel about art on a personal level, I love that the creator of Naruto placed ideologies like this into a character, would've loved too see the light novel story arch's in the show though, I always felt like the show kind of reduced most of the Akatsuki into mustache twirling villains, and left out what makes villains truly successful.
I really love the opening for this video where you talk about some of the most beloved characters being villains with actually little screen time. I think it would be hilarious to do one of these videos from that point of view but of Sasuke

Deidara could go all out with his explosions while not giving a shit about the sand village, but he couldn't kill gaara, while gaara was fighting in his home field, but at the same time had to have his attention divided to protect it. Honestly, I think that fight is very well scripted. I got sad to see gaara being taken by the akatsuki, but I don't think it could've been written better

Honestly, I always get so disappointed when I see people under rating deidara because he's such a cool character. His team with sasori is my favourite akatsuki team (maybe naruto team) and I'm so thankful nick made this video. It's refreshing to see someone putting some respect on deidara's name. I think that the only instance where Deidara actually went against his art philosophy is when edo Sasori had accepted his fate and you can see (anime wise) that Deidara was upset and didn’t want him to go. While Sasori was happy to have an ending instead of limitless life. Kind of shows how much they respected each other that they adapted a little of each others’ philosophy ( for Deidara, wanting Sasori to not end in a moment but longer and for Sasori, to accept the ending to things, I.e, his life). But of course, it’s more subtle to notice as Deidara still talks about art being an explosion and Sasori entrusting Kankuro with the puppets to still be used and to live on forever. But goes to show how I love this friendship and how close they were. Of course this is my theory but is one I still connect to and if I’m wrong, then sorry lol :>

I Think Deidara’s personality was inspired by Picasso’s famous quote “art is a series of destructions” which Kishimito most likely learned about since he went to art school and it’s like one of the most famous artist quotes about art, that’s taught in basically every art appreciation/ art history class.
Kabuto literally could have forced him to do it, but he was like "okay fine". I think they really could have come up with something more creative than that.

These characters were brought down for more than a few reasons. Not all power related.
In chojis case the 100x Amp.
In kidomarus case nejis gentle fist and byackugan were really the only counter.
Sakon and upon were overconfident.
And in tauyuyas case she got bested by strategies.
Under the correct circumstances I lv individuals can be brought down by weaker individuals.

I always wondered about the logistics pertaining to how The Hidden Stone brings in food. There's no way that they're keeping enough livestock nearby to feed their entire population when there's literally no fields for them to graze in anywhere inside of or around the village. They have to import all of their food from somewhere but it certainly doesn't come from the Hidden Sand or the land of Wind to the South of them, and most of stone country is literally just one really large and circular mountain range. Where the hell are they important their food from?

....... as yhe overall natuons yhese villages are located in are of significant size(can't really judge by how long travel times were as nijas seem to travel much faster then normal people) you have to assume that else were in the country they have sufficient aggriculcure to support the miltary bases that are hidden villages. Mountain sides and vallies would be good for goats and sheap. If yoi are not willing to assume that you either have to suspend your desibelif saying it was just never thought about when world bulding was done are rage aginst it for not being coverd in world building i choose the first of those awnswers. And while they could import food considering how unstable the politcal sutuation is that does not sound like a stable situation.

It isn't and the chakra element interactions is one of the biggest and silliest plot holes in the series and is never brought up again after this fight
@@frewthelookingglass860 so because i`m 7 months late the hand sign he uses is earth-style which causes the clay to explode. the issue is lightning style is never stated on how its used (it should be what allows the clay to explode because his clay is based on the c4 but even then it wouldn't be possible to use lightning style to defuse the explosives since that should just cause them to explode to early) so yeah it is a plot hole since you cant deactivate armed clay without it exploding because you cant short circuit clay
I'm a big nerd for powers in Naruto and in general.
And the one thing that peeves me in your story is "Sasori uses puppet technique to make all of his bodyguards kill themselves".
It's stated and written in the wiki that puppet users use corpses as puppets and Sasori could control people, BUT only when they are weakened or severely damaged and cannot resist.
So him just taking control straight out is kind of questionable.

I think one of the things that bothered me about these two was that they never worked on anything together knowing the sheer volume of artists I have it's rare to see two artists hang out and not even discuss a collaboration it's just weird
Imagine data making puppets out of his clay or adding explosive clay into one of sasori's puppets I don't know it could have been so epic
I thought they too until I realized they completely contradict each other's art and aren't compatible. Deidara wants his art to be ephemeral and leave nothing behind, he sees the explosion after his clay detonates as art, Sasori would be horrified at seeing his hard work blow up. Sasori meticulously handcrafts every puppet he makes and every piece is an original. Deidara creates his art on the fly without planning beforehand and he's capable of replicating designs. Sasori believes his puppets should be eternal for future generations to admire and enjoy. Deidara would be appalled at seeing his art rot and erode overtime

Thanks for covering this, Dei was my favorite character because he resonates on how I feel about art on a personal level, I love that the creator of Naruto placed ideologies like this into a character, would've loved too see the light novel story arch's in the show though, I always felt like the show kind of reduced most of the Akatsuki into mustache twirling villains, and left out what makes villains truly successful.
